LOST DELIVERY AT MY EXPENSE
Only recently I had an issue with a pair of boots my son in law purchased. Customer service was great. I decided to purchase my own work boots through Marks. It has been 18 days since I ordered. My order was taken to the incorrect region and therefore sent back to the return center. According to the CS agent, 'unfortunately', he cannot redirect order but I must start process again and sizes are now gone. Maybe the company is too large to correctly service clients. Zero accountability from CS or courier. I will spend my money elsewhere thanks.
Cheap clothes
My husband bought a jacket 2 years ago and the zipper needs to be repaired. I bought a fleece this year and the zipper has also broken. Marks is getting cheaper with the quality of their clothes. The seams on t-shirts are not aligned. Figure clothes are coming from china. Will not buy there anymore!
Just awful
Just awful. I wrote customer service about missing information on the site, and got what looked like a bot response, telling me to phone in the information (I’d given a URL with product name as well). I told them i thought that was a poor response and asked to escalate within customer service. They responded that the link didn’t work for them, and to ‘contact customer service’ (but YOU are customer service!). They didn’t use the product name to trace their website defects, they seem just to fire back useless (and helpless) answers and notch up another ‘responded to customer’. Without actually *responding* to customer. Irritating, not adequately competent, and really not trying to be helpful.

I was at the Dakota Street store today looking for a particular Denver Hayes sandal that I love and a clerk named Sheana went out of her way to help me. Although the Dakota Store did not have the sandal I was after because I bought it last year, she called all the stores in Winnipeg to try to find it for me. I received a call from her at home and she located my sandal in Ontario and was having it shipped to Winnipeg. I was thrilled! Cannot say enough about the level of customer service. Thank you!!

Your quality used to be amazing.Could get at least 5 years out of a tee etc.Now it isn't worth paying the money for.Rather buy 5 shirts at giant tiger then one at Marks and at least three out of 5 at gt would last longer then one at Marks
Disappointing experience
Ordered two workboots totalling just over $500 with the 25% off sale they were having. Their website indicates that any shipment over $200 will not be "safe dropped." I was surprised to see that my package had apparently indeed, been "safe dropped." I never would have ordered had I known their policy had changed. I was on the phone all day trying to get ahold of someone to fix this. You can't just "safe drop" expensive items onto a busy Toronto street. Boots were gone. I obtained a refund for one of them, but with the sale over, would not be able to purchase for the previous sale price, which was my point in buying with them that day. Will not shop with them again. Odds of actually receiving my order are too low. The amount of HOURS spent on the phone trying to reach their delivery agent (Purolator) and their customer service team were just too much for a workday.

The hull store is never open they can't even follow the hour schedule and I did manage to walk in and saw there's a new woman as manager so I asked her what was happening and why the store is always closed , and how come all the employees quit since she took over the store well she didn't say much but had a very bad attitude so as I was leaving I asked an employee what the managers problem was and just wispered she's a real b****** and doesn't care about any of us here. Now I understand why they are all quitting so cmon marks get someone that knows what there doing in that store , I'm won't go back until that has been done
My order was placed Dec 29th
My order was placed Dec 29th, 2022. Delivery was never made to my condo, they were told no one answered, this is not true my husband is on oxygen and always home, no notice left in my lobby as I checked everyday also no tracking email either. Couple of emails later I was told order was sent back to warehouse, and received Jan.9th2023. As of today's date Jan.27/2023, no refund back on my Visa and interest will be accrued. Don't think I will order anything online from them again. Very disappointed. L. Hickey
Promoted Discount was NOT honoured
Mark's sent me an online offer to receive $15 off when you spent $50. I spent $95 and received the $15 but I didn't realize that they apportioned the $15 discount between all the items purchased so that when I returned one item I lost the pro rata share of the $15 discount even though my remaining items were more than $50. The sales rep and manager in store refused to do anything about it.
zero stars for the online service
zero stars for the online service. Bought ladies boots and a Carhartt toque. Boots came via UPS. Everything good with the boots. I ordered a blackberry toque (burgundy), but was shipped a dark brown one instead. i want what I ordered. i phoned to 866 number only to get I'm sorry but, i'm sorry, i'm sorry. I kept on telling them that their screw up should not have to mean I need to be inconvenienced now. I asked if they could ship me the correct one - NO. I asked if they could ship correct one to nearst location and I'll go exchange - NO. I gave them suggestions but was told NO. All i got was apologies. Do better Marks!!! IF you goof up, make it right!!!!!!
Shocking promotion of Men's Agression!
Shocking promotion of Men's "Aggressor" They sent an add to me showing a white male in a flannel shirt with in a very aggresive stance as if he were about to kick the "S*&t" (they won't let me spell it out) out of someone. This is unacceptable! I posted it on facebook and everyone agreed that promoting violence to sell a shirt is totally disgusting and unacceptable. He looked like he was dressing to go out onto the street and start a fight or beat up his wife. Seriously, in 2022? I will never support this, and I'm done with Mark's.
