They are a SCAM. New signs posted about pricing fees, not a single one stating event parking fee. Which is usually $20 in my area, and all the other parking lots have no problem putting that sign up.... Toon meer

Purchased a parking pass for a Miami…
Purchased a parking pass for a Miami Heat game through ParkWhiz which said my license plate was my parking pass. The pass had a QR code on it. Weeks later, I get a bill for $65… $9 for parking and the rest in fees. I called and got a foreign agent who told me to click on the text they just sent me to send proof that I purchased a pass because they can’t access 3rd party parking purchases (for their own lot!). I told them I was not texting them and they said email. I refused both and told them I don’t know if they are a scam. I asked for a physical address to send a picture of the purchased ticket. They said they don’t have one! I asked for a person in the United States. It took 15 mins to get a rep in the US. I asked for a physical address because I don’t trust this whole process. She put me on hold for 5 mins and came back and said they don’t have one and she didn’t have access to 3rd party purchases to confirm mine. She offered to waive the charges since this was my first “offense”. She told me to find an attendant and make them scan the QR code next time. There was no attendant. Total scam! They have numerous lawsuits against them!
WOULD’T RECOMMEND
WOULD’T RECOMMEND, horrible company employees, manager’s and supervisors are EXTREMELY RUDE to customers and talk to people like they are uneducated when the company doesn’t do a good job at HELPING customers get in and out.Preferably the HARRISBURG PARK UP SP PLUS office in downtown area. WAY TOO EXPENSIVE FOR PARKING WOULDN’T RECOMMEND!
Metropolis Parking
Metropolis Parking: WARNING – DO NOT ENTER. These parking facilities (at malls, etc.) are extortion scams. Let’s start with a Google search of Metropolis Parking reviews: “Overcharging/Hidden Fees, Phantom Billing, Difficult Disputing, Equipment Errors”. Based on my personal experience I would add the following descriptions: Entrapment, false imprisonment, extortion of personal information, fraudulent and unauthorized charging of credit card, and attempted cell phone hacking. This is what happened to me: I was traveling and pulled off the freeway for some rest. Saw a shopping mall off the exit. There was a parking garage with a “Parking” sign, and no other signs. Pulled into the parking entrance to find a dark, long, pathway that was blocked on both sides (so you could not exit or divert). At the end of the path there was a gate and sign that said All Payments Must be made by cell phone. Heck, I do not use my cell phone for any financial transactions, especially at an unknown location. I started backing up to get out, but other cars came from behind me and started honking. So I was trapped. I drove ahead to the gate and waited. The gate opened, I parked and went into the mall, searching for payment information or assistance. I saw a sign for “how to pay”. This is what Metropolis wanted: Scan a QR code, download an app, sign up and create a password, enter your name, address, phone, email, and car license plate number!!! HE!! NO. There was a customer service number and I called. I was told this is the only method of payment, otherwise I couldn’t leave the mall! I talked to two other people. Finally, one of them said they would send me a link so I can pay online with a credit card, BUT as long as I promise to pay within 24 hours (otherwise, blah, blah, blah – I was too angry to remember or care at that point). So I drove out of the parking lot to an exit gate, which would not open. Cars piled up behind me. There was a different customer service phone number posted, so I called. I was finally able to exit the parking structure, but with the threat of paying within 24 hours, or else … (they had camera images of my car and license plate). So, I received the payment link on my phone and paid with credit card. A few minutes later I get an email from my bank saying there is ANOTHER charge of $9.99 from Metropolis. I called again and I was told that this was a fee to verify my identity !!! STAY AWAY FROM Metropolis Parking.
Horrible
Horrible! Visited Kings Plaza in Brooklyn today, oh my, only if I would knew this scamming company took off parking on Plaza. Never ever again! I would rather circle for even another hour and would find a spot around but not with this scamming company. They charged me for time accordingly - $5.00 + another $9.99 & $ 1. When I asked why, they told me this is standard banking authorization used to confirm that your payment method is active when you enter a Metropolis location. Pre- authorize fees. But I never approve it at first. And they told me now I have to wait 1 - 8 business days to get MY money back. So, they charged me without my permission = steal my money and put me in waiting line. Try to imagine how many ppl going through it every day, $10.99 × 1000ppl = $10.990 they easily may make a day, wow, what a scam!
Never again!
On March 28, we paid online for parking during a concert in New Orleans. When the concert was over, it was around 11 PM. We tried to exit the parking garage, but the gate would not raise and let us out. Luckily, we had our phones and called the number listed at the gate. The operator asked for proof that we had paid and our plate number. She raised the gate for us about 20 minutes later. If there had been a medical emergency, no one could have gotten into or out of the garage. I received a text message the next morning that included a bill for parking.
Even 0 if i could
Even 0 if i could. Why I’m obligated to provide my personal info to pay for a parking? Such as my phone number my name and my email? If i don’t want to or if i just don’t have it?
It should be illegal to charge someone…
It should be illegal to charge someone for simply driving through a garage. I’ve been getting charged for parking in the garage that is attached to my apartment complex. I have permission to park there, but continue being charged by metropolis. And their support is dense.
This type of company is the beginning of the end of orderly society.
Some tech company across the country is making money by “guarding” a garage they’ll never set foot in. Charging people without them ever handing over their card should be illegal.
The QR code did not open the parking…
The QR code did not open the parking app in Nashville downtown location. Then I tried paying for it online however the fee escalated from a $40 parking to $96. I refuse. They sent threating letter to me which I spent over an hour online trying to resolve but they were unresponsive. Even using a Chat was useless. I will never use this incompetant company again and any parking lot that uses this service deserves all the dislike consumers can issue.
If you see a parking lot with the sign…
If you see a parking lot with the sign “Metropolis” get out ASAP. This company took over a lot we used to park in often. When arrived, the gate would not lift, leaving us sitting there for five minutes with cars waiting behind us. By now we were late so were forced to rush. After our event, it took nearly an hour to leave the lot because the gate or the app were malfunctioning and people could not exit. We were charged $13.00 for the time we were in the lot which ADDED the hour we were sitting trying to exit. I have also discovered that this company will track your vehicle indefinitely after you park there once z DON’T DO IT!!!!
As bad as it gets
As bad as it gets. Parked for 45 min, selected the one hour option in app. Their high tech cameras did not detect our exit and we were charged for 24 hrs. Attempted to dispute with customer service which was was rude, dismissive and blamed us- hilariously - as we followed their directions. Now
Reading reviews o see this is just common operating procedure for them
They never specified with any sign or…
They never specified with any sign or notice that you need to pay to park and that they would charge you 74 DOLLARS FOR A TICKET!!! - roc taco parking lot SLC
Credit Card Stolen!!
We parked a rental vehicle in a Metropolis lot in NY. 2 months later the rental vehicle was parked by another user in TN and the company processed payment on our debit card. When we contacted the company they said they would not refund us because our card is linked to this rental vehicle. AVOID THIS COMPANY AT ALL COSTS. THEY STEAL YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION!!!! TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE.
Requesting Additional Charges/Fees
I was charged the original parking fee on the initial date, yet metropolis looked up my information based on my license plate to mail me a letter 2 months later asking that I once again pay the fee and an additional $55 as a notice fee otherwise they can tow/boot my car. When contacting them they continued to ask me for a receipt despite me already sharing the payment on my credit card. Why would anyone keep a parking receipt for over two months?
The worst experience ever
The worst experience ever. Have to wait 3 hours for my car which I pay every month to park and can’t get to work because nobody will move or give you an answer. This people need and will be sued because this is ridiculous
Metropolis made shopping at the…
Metropolis made shopping at the Broadway Plaza in walnut Creek a nightmare. I spent 30 minutes figuring out how to use it. Fortunately I was done with my shopping before 3 hours when the charges start, because I couldn’t get to the point in the system to enter my credit card. I found the option only after I returned home. I will be curtailing my shopping future shopping trips to Broadway Plaza or parking elsewhere. What a waste of time!
Rating 1* because can't rate ZERO!
Rating 1* because can't rate ZERO!
Received a notice after a parking charge of U$6, added by a U$ 54.50 processing fee!
That's dishonesty. Can't accept this.
Fee was dropped after a stressful phone call.
Done with them. See you never again.

Avoid metropolis.io at all costs
This company is deceptive and fraudulent in fee processing and late fee practices. Metropolis.io makes it near impossible to get customer assistance. I would recommend never parking here or supporting such a deceptive fraudulent company. They should be banned. I'm disgusted that such a vile company is allowed to operate. This company should not be in business with their deceptive fraudulent practices in theivery.
This abject app shoves AI where it's not needed
Why not coerce the customer, trapped the minute they enter the parking lot, into scanning a QR code (hello, 2021!) to hand their data to this random 3rd party app for them to use and sell as they see fit? Or scan a potentially virus-laden QR code, just for the sake of digitalizing a process that was working just fine till some MBAs dreamt up a way to squeeze money out of a terrible idea?
You used to be able to pay cc or cash when leaving a parking lot. Nothing was wrong with that, at all. So metropolis.io, the pointless app of the future, set out to provide a 'new and improved, digitalized customer experience'.
Enjoy.
AI Scam Company
I had a monthly pass at a parking garage. I canceled it so I could move to another garage and was out by the end of day of the last day on my pass, but it charged me for OVER A DAY of parking ($40). Their AI support chat bot doesn't help. Their parking is cheap for a reason.
Horrible customer service!
Horrible customer service!! Sent me to bill collection , and they claimed they sent me several bills. Which i never received, Charged me $50 in fines for a $20 bill.
