They are a SCAM. New signs posted about pricing fees, not a single one stating event parking fee. Which is usually $20 in my area, and all the other parking lots have no problem putting that sign up.... Toon meer

Do not park with Metropolis
Do not park with Metropolis. There is no signage on how to pay for parking and their response to my concern is trying to get rid of my bill all together rather than put signage up. You will get a bill over one month after your visit.
AI Crapbot, Charged Twice
Was charged $60 by this service when I paid on site in the garage. When I went to dispute it, the AI Crapbot sends you in circles. Clearly designed to prevent actually helping you. The bot requires you share all kinds of personal information just to direct it nowhere. Appears my data was stolen too. Horrible company.
This company is garbage
This company is garbage, the support is garbage, rude staff. Danica closed the message in it on me. I hope they go bankrupt and close. I have never disliked any company as much as this place. I will never in my life recommend them to any body. I swear to god I hope their servers crash or that they get ransomware and lose all of their stuff.
Metropolis app is dog crap.
The app is dog crap. Sometimes the Payment method I saved just suddenly disappears. It’s so frustrating. Because the next day they send me a text saying you’ve paid the fee you’re good. But I used cash so now I’m double charged.
Beware when picking up or dropping off passengers
They manage the parking lot at the Amtrak station in Richmond, VA. Took my wife to the station so she could catch a train. Parked in their lot. The kiosk where you make payment was surrounded by ice and understandably blocked off by caution tape. Train arrived, I waved goodbye to my wife and walked back to my car, only to find that in those fifteen minutes i had received a $65 parking ticket. Called their number and told the customer service rep about my experience. She agreed to “waive” the ticket, but informed me I was still obligated to pay a service & processing fee of $16.50. Thankful for the waiver, I suppose, but still felt scammed by the processing fee.
A complete annoyance
A complete annoyance. I don't want to play with my phone. I want to pay my parking charge and be about my business.
Deceptive pricing, hidden mandatory fees
This company advertises a $120 monthly parking rate, then quietly adds a mandatory $4.99 “service/technology” fee after the fact. This fee is not optional, applies to all monthly parkers, and yet is not clearly or conspicuously disclosed before purchase.
When I raised the issue, customer support confirmed that the fee is required under their contract with the property and cannot be waived—essentially admitting that the advertised price is not the true price. The response was polite but amounted to: yes, it’s mandatory; no, we won’t remove it; and yes, we know disclosures should be clearer.
That’s the problem. If a fee is unavoidable, it should be included upfront in the advertised rate, not revealed only after you’re already committed. Calling it a “technology” or “service” fee doesn’t change the fact that this is deceptive pricing and a frustrating customer experience. This may only be $4.99, but it’s the principle. Transparent companies don’t rely on fine print or post-purchase explanations to justify mandatory charges. Based on this experience, I would not trust this company’s pricing or communications.
Buyer beware: the price you see is not the price you pay.
God awful company
This company has no way for you to pay in person, no gates at checkout, no ticketing system in the garages, and sub par signs barely anywhere with info on how to pay, and if you don’t pay immediately, they charge you a $30 fee. Absolute racket, and a model company on why we need to bring back public shaming.
Won’t validate
They’ll get stores to tell their customers they’ll validate parking but it works half the time then they’ll charge crazy amount if you don’t double check
Charged for a vehicle I rented 6 times…
Charged for a vehicle I rented 6 times for 1 hour. Never use this company. They try to get you to sign up for a account then charge you over and over and hope you don't check you account.
I was charged $32 at a Metropolis…
I was charged $32 at a Metropolis parking facility on Brickell Bay Garage despite a clearly posted sign at the entrance advertising a $6 daily rate for vehicles entering before 9:00 a.m. and exiting after 1:00 p.m.
I entered at 8:51 a.m. and exited after 1:00 p.m., fully meeting the posted conditions. I have photos of the entrance signage confirming the advertised rate.
I contacted Metropolis to dispute the charge, but they insisted the amount was correct without addressing the discrepancy between the posted price and the amount charged. Charging more than the advertised rate is misleading and unacceptable.
Until pricing is transparent and honored as posted, I would not recommend using Metropolis parking facilities.
DO NOT PARK IN ANY OF THEIR LOTS - SCAM SCAM SCAM
As a season subscriber to Broadway at the Paramount in seattle, we are given a QR code for free parking the night of the event. Parking used to be fine until this nightmare company took over. They seem understaffed and evenings are chaotic at the parking garage. I just got called by a collections agency that metropolis sent me to, claiming that I didn't pay. No shit. The QR code got me in and out but they're claiming that I somehow snuck in and snuck out without getting a credit card in or out? LOL What a nightmare company. And they have the audacity to try to squeeze $70 out of me with threats!
AVOID AT ALL COSTS
I parked in this garage on a Sat. night for less that two hours. The system was very confusing and misleading. I ended up paying $11 for an awful experience. Talked to the Pearl St businesses where I was a customer that night, and they all spoke extremely poorly of the new management. The Metropolis app instructs a person to get validation at participating businesses for free parking. There are NO participating businesses. Avanti says the new mgmt no longer provides a QR code for validation. It was a hassle trying to figure out what the heck was going on. I spoke with other businesses. I went online later that night looking for the best way to make a complaint. I have never seen such overwhelmingly negative reviews. I am astounded that the City of Boulder would continue to employ this this company with all their predatory and misleading policies and incorrect info on their app. Calling City of Boulder tomorrow, as they are closed today. AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
Aggressive company that entraps users…
Aggressive company that entraps users with exorbitant fees and no common sense. Their system needs rational humans in the cyber-AI doom loop I will not park at a metropolitan. Io managed lot. It’s an AI based parking management system straight out of Orwell’s 1984 or equivalent dystopian nightmare, and desperately in need of stiff regulations.
If you are a property owner considering doing business with this company, just don’t. You might attract more business by having a skunk spray your front entrance by comparison.
Scammers
Scammers, they keep your credit card details and charge you for multiple parkings then tell you “they cant do anything about it”
There sign said $10 parking and they…
There sign said $10 parking and they charged me $18. Then they left a ticket on my car telling me I didn't pay, but I had the receipt in my phone. No info on the ticket to get in touch with them only a bar code to send them money. I found there email and explained they were missing a number on my plate and that's why they couldn't find my number. They wanted me to prove the error. They finally corrected it no apology and told me to be careful. I ended up getting there local number from a competitor. The person I spoke to was rude and unhelpful. Don't use this lot! The owner of the company is Alex Isreal.
Metropolis Parking charges unreasonable…
Metropolis Parking charges unreasonable fees for parking . . $22.00 to park in the 12th South District. The parking fee was more than the cost of the lunch. Plus, they charged a $1.00 parking fee to add insult to injury. I am through patronizing restaurants that do not have free parking. It is simply not worth it. Plus, I work in the tourism industry and will stop recommending our Nashville visitors to the 12th South District, as I do now want blowback from our guests when they are charged such stiff parking fees for an area outside of the downtown business district.
A city owned garage converted to metropolis. USERS BEWARE!
The sundial parking garage in St Petersburg was converted to a metropolis garage. Payable by QR code. They have rates posted hourly on the wall but say event parking rates prevail when there is an event. There was no event today yet the minimum parking charge was $21 instead of the usual $3 an hour which was $2 an hour when it was still a city garage. They are essentially using event parking as an excuse to rip people off when there was actually no event in the surrounding area going on today. Quite frankly I think the City of St Petersburg should be involved and address this. Additionally, the website after you scan the QR code it requires you to put in a credit card number but it offers you no way to prevent saving of your credit card number. It automatically saves your credit card info to their website for future use. Your plate number is already there. Essentially they can automatically charge you whenever they want. Read the other reviews that show that plate numbers are being misread all over the country so if you've ever parked in a metropolis garage, you have to watch your credit card statement thereafter to make sure they don't bill you for misreading somebody's plate somewhere else because they keep your information on file.
Terrible app
Terrible app, terrible interface, and extremely poor and unresponsive customer service. If you use metropolis to manage your parking and validation you are doing a big disservice to your customers and setting them up for a bad first impression and poor experience
Thanksgiving customer fleecing from Metropolis
On Thanksgiving, November 27th—because nothing says *holiday cheer* like prepaid parking—I responsibly pre-purchased parking from the Metropolis.io website for 1407 Main Street in Dallas. The site gladly took my credit card and reassuringly told me to “drive out when done.” Simple. Elegant. What could possibly go wrong?
Fast-forward a few weeks, and Metropolis popped back into my life with a *violation notice* like an unwanted relative after the holidays: a $10 parking fee (which I had already paid) plus a casual $50 “service charge.” For what service, exactly? The audacity?
Luckily, I had the foresight to take screenshots while purchasing the parking—because apparently parking now requires the same documentation as an international hostage negotiation. I disputed the charge and escaped with my sanity intact.
Metropolis appears to have perfected the art of fleecing customers with questionable fees and extortionist-level service charges. I will never use a Metropolis garage again. There are plenty of places to park without the surprise sequel.
