Poor experience with adding a credit card to my NatWest account. I already have an account so not sure why I need to now upload new id. However the name on my photo id is different following marriage. I can't update them as my certificate is with another company to update their record. I've decided to move all my banking and mortgage away from the NatWest. Mitek doesn't seem to have much to point you towards help or any assistance.

it's the 6th time i do the verification and it says finished, verification complete. and the website using it keep saying it isn't and it's been asked me to do it again over and over. Only an italian trash like subito.it could use such a scam of a service. i wonder who i gave my passport photo and my selfie 6 times to

Poor service proving income.
Natwest requested income information for credit card application. Provided 3 months payslips but because a non-consolidated bonus appears on one, they reject the whole application, even though proper explanation provided to the Mitek and the payslips ultimately show proof of income. Had to go back to Natwest to complain and still awaiting remedy.

I have a very unpleasant experience using mitek for Natwest Identity confirmation. The options are too few and if things don't go exactly as they imagined, they are quick to reject not minding the document will achieve the same thing. I think someone needs to let NatWest know these things before it blows back in their face. A lot valuable customers are been turned away because of Mitek's lack of imagination.

As an international student in the UK, I don't have a utility bill to confirm my address, but I have got a letter of introduction from my University and a contract agreement from my landlord, what else would they want?

I have used a number of identity and verification software companies this one is up there for being awful. I think they use a lot of AI and if things dont exactly match they reject applications, theres no one to talk to at Natwest about this and its unfair and a waste of everyones time

Tried using this to verify for Nationwide Bank Account application. It wouldn't work with a webcam. Just showed me an oval to put my face in, which I did, and just left me hanging. No button to press, no clue as to what more it wanted, nothing except a cancel button. Eventually in frustration, I tried the mobile phone version which took a photo of me then a passport photo which it took without me pressing when ready, then told me the photo was no good. Most frustrating piece of software ever released on the public. And now some incompetent company has my photo and all of my passport details. That doesn't sound very security conscious, does it? I've cancelled my bank account application with Nationwide and I'm going to open one with a different bank.
Rubbish software that collects data which is really valuable to fraudsters. Why would any company offer this to its potential customers?

Uploaded documents 3 times as downloaded pdf's but says it cant verify them

..I amhave been unable to ratify I identity for 9 months i have tried to verify thru mitek for crdditkarma 87 times my pictures are CRYSTAL CLEAR TAKEN OUT SIDE AT NOON ON AN HD SAMSUNG CAMERA AND THEY SAYBITS UNREADABLE i assure you they are 100% ledable. This has prevented me from accessing my account my money and ultimately had my kids going hungry worst system in the world stay away from these monsters..

Absolute garbage company.

How are they even allowed to operate or to even exists.

Seems like they are kept afloat with government contracts.

I have been trying to contact them to send me a check fraud demo, and it's been a week and 2 days they haven't sent anything I have gotten in contact with support and still nothing... very frustrating and unprofessional... do better.

In common with all the other complaints, we found our document uploads were rejected after long waits, but with no explanation or reason given.
Zero customer support. Useless company.

Every single time - my bank statement, my council tax statement and all I send - was rejected. I lost 3 hours to send them all my statements, and all of them has wrong information 🤣
so I lost my account on just park, because of them. joke, no verification company

This company is useless. I had the same experience as other reviewers. After jumping through lots of hoops to, eventually, upload a photo of my passport and a selfie i thought I had cracked it when I got a message saying they would check it and I asked for text confirmation. Of course, I got no confirmation and Virgin Money contacted me again asking for id. I have rung the helpline and nothing has progressed. I also can't take my id in to a branch. I have cancelled the application and got a credit card from my own bank within minutes. This company is useless and will be losing the banks that use it a lot of custom.

I have tried for four hours over the last 48 hours to verify my ID in order to open a bank account. The Mitek system is completely unfit for purpose.

It keeps telling me to change the orientation of my document when it's most definitely the correct orientation, and won't recognise it at any angle, despite me following the instructions to the letter.

It also will not accept the high quality images I've uploaded manually. The first time they were rejected for the address on my driving license being different from the one on the application (it's not), the second for being blurry (it wasn't).

So apparently no bank account for me. I have complained to the bank in question to let them know these clowns have lost them a customer - I suggest you do the same.

Absolutely awful experience. I submitted 4 different documents that clearly show my proof of address and they were all rejected and they don't fit the models super strict criteria. Under "documents we accept" they listed council tax bill, I submitted a copy of my council tax bill - that has to be a photo of the paper document by the way - and they said "sorry we don't accept this type of document". Really really awful that lead to me NOT opening a NatWest account for no reason other than this company are terrible and can't verify basic documents

So abysmal in every way that I'm leaving my first ever trustpilot review. However many of their problems you manage to work around, another will arise. Truly a masterpiece of awful UX

What the Hell is this company about. Trying to get security check done and they just are useless. PLEASE PLEASE somebody just take them out of the security checking and get a company who are professional.

Garbage! Is this what the government want to shove down our throats? Utter rubbish.It does not work. Now im locked out of my banking as I can't prove my ID. This is a taste of what is coming. Sorry, I mean, this is a taste of what is here and now! Say NO! to Digital ID at all costs. Using this has just hammered home to what digital ID is all about. Computer says no. Locked out. No bank account. You're done
