Racist company used by Natwest to verify credit cards. Stay clear. Sent all they wanted Drivers licence . Video footage and they decline verification I belive based on ethnicity, colour or surname not being English. Got another CC from another company in seconds. Avoid. Problem sell my data on as well
Quite unsettling
Firstly, not being racist but I received a call from a guy with an extremely strong Indian accent talking so fast I had difficulty understanding him. I had to ask him to slow down. I was waiting for a call from Lifetime Legal relating to putting myhouse on the market.I have been a British citizen for 70 plus years and here was he doing an ID check on me for the Estate Agent. He sent me a link to open and follow instructions, It was from Mitek !. Facial ID on my phone kept asking me to move slower nearer. I ended up with the phone at my face. tried this three times as it continually failed. I moved onto passport photo, again failed 3 times so I tried my driving licence and it came up as awaiting approval and then suddenly I got a load adverts for Solicitors, finance etc Nothing advising me that it was all done and ok so I went out of the link. So stressful. Was this a scam? and who had ID'd the young man on the phone, which country was he calling from? what does he do with my information. This does not seem right and quite appalling. Then when I called into the Estate Agent with paperwork and my key I was told that the ID check came through and all was okay. How could that be? I would loved to have seen how my photo turned out! Worrying? what is this country coming too.

Delayed setting up my bank account online. Tried countless times to verify my information but Mitek just didn't work for me.
UK banks, please avoid this company!
I'm extremely disappointed that NatWest uses this rubbish company to verify your documents. I uploaded 3 times, with all valid and up-to-day documents, and still got rejected as invalid, and needing more. Do actual human read them? Or just the AI keeps rejecting. Can't contact them, they don't reply your emails. I give up!

1 because I cant give minus. Uploaded statements, wage slips, P60s, accountant paperwork and lo and behold the non human AI - with the audacity to “check” that Im human - cant recognise anything !!! But hey it’s cheap and apparently this is progress right ???? Please take me back to actually seeing a real person with your paperwork

Mitek Systems is a low quality bot, that cannot recognise names on genuine British passports or driving licences.
Try to avoid companies that use Mitek.
Useless
Useless - Natwest use this lot to do their ID checks and they are totally inept. They can't check anything you send them, driving licence, passport - all comes back that they cannot verify you. They waste days messing you about asking you to upload different options, but the AI or people they employ must be blind or illiterate.
If you see anyone using these clowns to do their ID checks, stop the process and look for an alternative product.
Mitek fraud link
Sent a Mitek link for Job Application ID with a well known bank, turns out it was an Identity Theft link. No one is answering the phone so I can report it to Mitek.
HooYu doesn't work
Mitek recently brought the broken HooYu, as such most of the ratings are on Trust Pilots HooYu page.
It rejects any picture, as 'Document upload failed. Please check file size does not exceed 30MB and try again'.
But my pictures max out at ~3MB, and the page doesn't have any settings to adjust the picture it takes.
When trying to validate my face; it keeps saying 'An error occurred when trying to upload your selfie. Try again.'
Regardless of light, facial hair, clothes or glasses; it fails every time.
More than 100 attempts across RBS, NatWest, YBS, and now Zopa, and it still doesn't work for any bank on mobile.
The service does work on laptops for some reason; but most banks don't offer this link, so it's effectively an unusable service, preventing you from opening accounts with a fair number of banks.

I spent four days trying hard to verify and upload documents. After many hours, two documents were accepted but my selfie photo was rejected after a dozen times. Eventually I gave up with a payment and the Selfie. 0 out of 5 stars!
