The Logic and reasoning from this ISP is dodgy at best.
I don't understand this ISP, have been going around in circles for just over a month now. Signed up with them to change from our previous provider who we were using copper to transfer over to My Republic while we waited for Fiber to be installed. The person on the phone indicated this was possible and that we would be able to get a copper connection. I get a phone call a few days later, suddenly this isn't possible. Okay, let us continue and find out why.. Enabled calls and says that someone will be coming to review the area for fiber installation but my address is not correct with the city council register, so I change it to My Republic, going forward 2 weeks I decided to apply for VDSL again, but no avail, order canceled. The funny thing is that I've been using VDSL at my address with copper the whole time I've been trying to swap over to My Republic, I honestly think they're rejecting any VDSL sign-ups and are blaming it on Chorus while trying to sell me sub-par horrible mobile plans I do not want. I need a stable connection and I need your staff to actually do their jobs rather than act like it's Chrous who's the problem when it's actually them who can't pick up the phone and enquire as to why this does not work. I've had forms saying that copper at my address is not supported but it obviously is as I'm using it right now. What, did you think I pulled a magical VSDL connection out of thin air? Get with it, this is bull. my install date is in a few months for fiber, I don't want to be on shot mobile connection while I wait. To Top it off I've been asking for weeks as to what the reason for not being able to get VDSL and one of them was, oh they might be intending to take the copper out. Yeah well that's 2 months away mate.

We try our best to not cancel orders, but on your case, our Activation Team can't place the order as on the Chorus VDSL portal, it shows it's not serviceable so as much as we would love to activate the copper service, there's no option for us. Our Activation Team sent you an email regarding this.

MyRepublic is one of the best…
MyRepublic is one of the best ISP’s and now they have amazing mobile phone/data plans too with combo deals that have reduced my overall cost and still give me great speed and service.
I’m on the basic mobile plan which gives me free calling nz/au (great because I have family in Aussie)and the data speed is on the slower side but will still load maps, emails and pages at half the cost and unlimited data

Great value, fast internet
Prices are great. Fibre is fast, phone data not so much on the $25 plan, but for unlimited data at that price - can't really complain. Team was quick to respond and very polite when I had issues with porting my number. More for people who don't mind not speaking to person all the time as they have a "live chat".
