Not so happy now. The sim is in, the app downloaded, but it won't let me in. When I tried to phone MyRepublic for help I got 'we've identified you as a customer so use the app'.
I wasn't left waiting for yonks on the phone - very prompt response. The girl on the other end guided an old fellow through the enrollment process, in fact she did it for me.
I haven't received my sim yet, but so far, MyRepublic's service has been faultless.

Honestly the service is well done super easy to do and doesn't have the annoying weird fee's other telco's have, you can just pay with your card in the app without having to pay the extra fee other telco's charge

Suddenly charged higher payments
Suddenly been getting charged higher fee's over the past three months without ANY notification (email, call, txt - nothing). I work from home and our internet constantly lags or drops out - i've tried communicating with the bots but get no success from it. literally just sent to aimless pages. Terrible service, left feeling very frustrated and wanting to terminate our service now.

Useless Support
First I received a faulty modem. Spent two hoours with their support before they finally accepted it was faulty. Then had to send the modem back to them to avoid getting charged for the modem. Lost my creditcard, so had to change payment details. But that was impossible because they haven't fixed the OTP problem, that other Pilots have complained about for more than a month. No real support, only bots and chat. Had enough. I am out.

OTP issues not fixed for over a week
Good email contact but their OTP for account authentication does not work and hence I cannot get into my account both on their App and their Website - its been days and there has been no fix nor alternate arrangement to get the OTP via email. This is a grey area with them.

Really good ISP
Decided to switch from 2degrees to my republic just over a year ago. It's been flawless over the year I've been with them the speed if my internet has always been consistent and fast. The only minor gripe is the live chat can be a bit hit and miss but I've only had to make contact once so isn't a biggie. Will continue to stick with them for my internet for the foreseeable.

I have amended my review to 3 stars because of a result of this review I have since had an actual verbal conversation with a representative who assures me they made an error and I do not have to return the modem.

13/2/23 One star because I can't give none. I have been a customer of my republic for 5 years. When I signed up I was sent a modem. Five years later our house is sold and we haven't bought another, we'll be couch surfing until we do. I try to cancel our account. It takes hours and at the end I'm told I must return the obsolete 5 year old modem at my expense and via tracked courier or we'll be charged for it because we were renting it. This is the first I've heard, there has never been a rental charge or notification of a rental on my account. When queried I was told "it was a free rental" To my recollection at the time they were "given" free as a sign on incentive not as a rental.
The worst was there was no way to speak to a person. The complaints (toll number) phone simply redirected to the chat bot. The 508 number was no longer active and the complaints page doesn't exist.
