AVOID- DODGEY COMPANY! NO RESPONSE! - Bought a car from NWTC around end of August 2025 time. Had a fault that only became apparent in winter time (a leak), as well as a faulty seatbelt that needs manually adjusting upon each use as it came undone during journeys. We texted Wayne, whom we bought the car from, before Christmas and he said he would get the car booked in after the Christmas period. Nothing resulted from this.
Unfortunately, owing to a family member becoming severely ill, it was not chased up between Feb and March. After chasing it up in March as well as April, we were met with complete silence again and the message didn’t even deliver.
After my personal circumstances alleviated, I chased NWTC back up and finally got the car booked in June. As I handed over the keys he asked what I was there for, as if he wasn’t expecting me. I reminded him of the seatbelt and car door leakage.
He said it would be done for 8 days later. It wasn’t, which I was okay with as these things never pan out as expected. However, I had to chase up every other day as no one kept in touch. Resultantly, after 13 days we got the car back. The seatbelt had not been resolved as he said he “forgot” which is just unacceptable and dangerous. He should’ve written it down or texted to confirm.
I understand the door is not formally part of the warranty, however, as it was agreed to be booked in, this should have been honoured appropriately, especially as we bought the car with these faults.
He essentially blamed us for leaving it so late, although he is the person responsible for the lack of urgency as he completely ignored us for months on end. He also said we weren’t prepared to give the car in? When I got the car back, sentimental things and money also taken from the car, not sure by whom as it was sent to multiple places. Obviously no specific blame is implied as per the previous sentence- however, the follow up was inadequate.
I found Wayne in particular to be extremely condescending, and to be frank, rude. Other people I spoke to on the phone were also rude and dismissive, and would never follow up on their promises to get back to me.
They even went as far as responding to someone elses negative review stating that it was my mother and I fabricating a fake review, as well as publicing our personal information.
If you are considering buying a car here, READ THE RESPONSES to many of the negative GOOGLE reviews to see the type of attitude this company has. I must say that the responses on trust pilot (some signed off as James Taylor) are much so more professional and appropriate- go and look at what i assume is new management- Zac Porter responses. He is the one that published mine and my mothers personal info when defaming us in a response to a complete strangers negative review.
Overall: poorly ran and the blame is then put put on customers.

A huge thank you to Junaid and everyone at NWTC for making buying my car such a great experience. Junaid was friendly, knowledgeable, and went above and beyond to make sure everything went smoothly from start to finish. There was never any pressure, just honest advice and excellent customer service.
I’m really pleased with the car and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend NWTC to anyone looking for a quality used vehicle. Thanks again, Junaid – top-class service!

DO NOT buy from this company
DO NOT buy from this company, car bought in March and MOT the day before, rear brake pads were 'advised' on MOT this was not pointed out to me (i was just told the car has passed the MOT) 4000k miles later of careful driving and my brakes are metal on metal after Peuogot Dealer said this is safety critical...this company is not taking any responsibility simply stating everything was legal when the car was purchased

Car not advertised properly, awful service, waste of time, effort and money
Phoned up enquiring about a VW Polo, asked them if the car is good to go and free to test drive, spoke to Nathan, he said yes and I emphasised that I am travelling an hour to view on behalf of a friend. Arrive on site, greeted by a very friendly salesman but didn't get his name, he said that we would be especially looked after as we've travelled so far. Bullshit. Needed to use the toilet and it was locked, he told me to just go on the fence, very professional. We finally get around to viewing the car and it is awful, bodywork is atrocious, no service history which was not advertised, drivers door handle not working, passenger window not working, the car had an exhaust blow and none of this was mentioned. Images advertised seem to have been covered with AI to hide all the damage on the car. Wasn't valeted properly and there was a note saying the car needed prepping. This was not mentioned when I called otherwise I wouldn't have made the trip!!! I appreciate with it being an old car it will obviously not be perfect, but it was too much to justify the price. Not only this but I tried to check the MOT History (the reg plate was hidden on the listing) and the reg plate did not show up, so how do I know this isnt a clone? Spoke to Nathan and he was incredibly uninterested and had a disgusting attitude. I told him the problems and he told me "it's not the car for you then is it?" To which I just said clearly, and therefore defeats the purpose of me driving an hour from home to get here. We at least tried to reason with him, we were happy to take the car if the issues were rectified and we were happy with the test drive, he refused to let us even drive the car. Told us he'd take a deposit, come back within a week and all issues will be fixed. Asked if this was refundable and was told no, because if I "c*ck up" then he is at a loss for the repairs. I'm at a loss driving an hour for a waste of time, took time off from work I wont get back and have been treated appaulingly. Avoid at all costs, go spend your money with someone who actually gives a shit.

My 17 year old passed his driving test and we were hunting for a little car for him. Having decided on a Vauxhall Viva, we contacted NWTC Preston and spoke to Wayne. The car we wanted originally had sold a few hours before I spoke to him, but he made the effort to make sure it was sold, and kept in touch throughout the day. Due to his effort and manner we decided to go with a higher priced much newer model.
Wayne was consistent, reliable and very pleasant to deal with. Kept us informed and was great all round. Car arrived today and we couldn’t be happier. Will be back in a few years when my next lad passes his test!

I recently bought a car from north west trade centre Preston. It was a good easy process thanks to Wayne. Great communication, help and advice. Highly recommend. Thank you.

Initial service very prompt and they listened to what I wanted. Found the potential right car but it needed some repair. They said they would do it for me (body work) if I paid a deposit of £500 for the car. If not satisfied they would return it . As promised the work was completed to a good standard and I bought the car. After care service was good and quick and an additional promise to provide a piece of technology for the car was fulfilled post sale. Thanks for that. Haider, the salesman was courteous, helpful and super fast at answering any messages. The car was MOT and valeted . The only thing I would say is check fuel levels before taking away as mine almost ran out on way home( I had 25 miles to drive home ). Other than that it was a good experience with no problems.
Overpromised and undelivered
Overpromised and undelivered. Avoid this place.
I signed paperwork to purchase a car in February 2026. After 3 months of dealer-caused issues, they completely withdrew the sale, leaving me with nothing.
Communication from my assigned salesperson was non-existent. I have WhatsApp proof of ignored messages, unfulfilled promises of updates, and misinformation. When called out on these contradictions, they simply ignored my messages.
This firm fails at due diligence. They do not appear to complete safety checks before letting people test drive or sign for vehicles. My intended car had a major fault, and the courtesy car they gave me after a month of waiting also had misaligned steering and broken hazard lights.
Furthermore, 5–6 weeks of the delays happened simply because they didn't have copies of important documents and had to reorder them from the DVLA.
Ultimately, they cancelled the deal because the repair costs were too high for them to then sell at the agreed price—faults that should have been resolved before letting customers test drive.
Save yourself the stress. I went to a professional dealership and had a car in 4 days.

Non refundable deposits and £250 admin charges
Do not buy from this company. This company charge an extortionate £250 admin fee and insist on a £500 deposit but won't tell you that it's non refundable , I was stupid enough to give them the £500 deposit. I phoned them 30 minutes after leaving the showroom to cancel the order and requested my deposit back. I then received a nasty email stating I cannot have the deposit back as I saw the car and signed. Yes they are legally allowed to keep the deposit, but just because it is legal doesn't make it right or the correct thing to do. People change there mind and if you want the customers trust, and want them to return and recommend to family and friends then stop holding people's deposits and sending nasty unnecessary emails. The big car dealerships (Arnold Clark or Motorpoint etc) are very successful because they don't hold customers deposits and build that trust knowing customers will return. That £500 deposit that you keep will cost you in the long run. As you probably make four times that £500 on each sale, hopefully this post will help deter others from making the same mistake i made and every sale you've lost has cost you four times my deposit.
My ending statement and advice is this, do not buy from this company. They cannot be trusted and not retuning deposits or holding deposits to ransom signals red flags and questions customer care. There is better dealerships out there that can be trusted. Please don't make the same mistake I made by trusting this company.

Appalling customer service and no deposit refund YET
I rang a week in advance explaining that we would be driving 100 miles that week and that we would need a car to drive away on the day,
I emailed 48 hours before to confirm the day (Today) we would be collecting
Took time off work to drive down and collect only to be told that the car we paid a deposit for has no MOT and is not ready at all, no apology no nothing.
After looking at a few more cars which again had no MOT we left with nothing only to drive back another 100 miles home empty handed
I could not have been clearer in my conversation that we would need the car the day we attended, having travelled so far, It was a complete waste of time and more importantly money in fuel and lost earnings
STILL WAITING ON DEPOSIT REFUND 3 DAYS LATER
