Very disappointed.
October 2025 placed an order for 37 sqm Silver Grey Granite Paving Slabs. April 22nd, 2026, decided to order 5.59 sqm (10 more slabs).
Friday 24th April received a call from the delivery company, deliver arranged for Tuesday 28th April.
Tuesday 28th April call from delivery company advising ‘unfortunately can't make’ delivery rearranged for Thursday 30th.
Thursday 30th called delivery company at 2.30pm and asked when I could expect the delivery, advised ’it wasn't out for delivery, but would be an am delivery on Friday 1st May’.
Friday 1st May I called the delivery company at 1pm and was advised ‘new planner and the slabs would not be delivered’. Rearranged for Tuesday 5th May and would be 'priority' before 10am.
Tuesday 5th May received the delivery at 2pm.
When I open the pallet, I saw six of the slabs had significant variation and were not consistent.
The previous slabs all had a consistent appearance.
I was disappointed and emailed Paving Slab UK customer service with the attached photos.
PS UK stated ‘these slabs are a natural stone product, which means variations in tone, veining, and colour are inherent characteristics of granite. These differences are not flaws but part of the unique beauty of the material’.
This conflicts with the statement of description of the website…. ‘Paving features: Resource: Self-produced in overseas factory’. The definition of Self-produced means,' created, generated, or manufactured by oneself or by the entity itself, rather than a sourced externally or created by others.
PS UK, refused to replace the six slabs. Unfortunately and disappointingly, due to my situation and PS UK misleading description and the in discrepancy with the description (‘a natural stone product’ and the website description ‘self-produced in overseas factory’), my only option is to report my concerns to Trading Standards via Citizen advise; as I believe Paving Slab UK have falsely describe the Product/slabs (not matching their advertised description).
I now have to order more slabs from another company and pay to dispose of the six unusable slabs.
Given my experience I would not recommend Paving Slabs UK.
Further to PS UK comment.
They stated '.....also unlikely to guarantee a colour match (the colour match was not the problem, the problem was the inconsistency). Slabs purchased from another supplier are very unlikely to match exactly with the batch we previously supplied'.
I did order more slabs from a different supplier. The colour does match and the slabs have a consistent appearance, unlike the six unusable slabs I have.

Firstly, we are sorry for the delay with this delivery. Your additional order was scheduled around the Bank Holiday period, and unfortunately pallet delivery networks in the UK can experience changes to routing, vehicle scheduling and local delivery arrangements during this time. We understand this caused inconvenience, and we apologise for that.
Regarding the six slabs you mentioned, we would like to explain the nature of natural stone more clearly. Granite is a natural stone product. It is not an artificially coloured or uniformly manufactured material. Natural stone can vary in colour, tone, grain, mineral structure, veining and surface appearance. This can be particularly noticeable with sawn and flamed granite, where the cutting, flaming and surface finishing process can make natural mineral and tonal variation more visible.
In our website policy, we always advise customers to order enough material for the whole project at the same time where possible. This is because both natural stone and porcelain can vary between different production batches.
In this case, your first order was placed in October 2025, and the additional order was placed in April 2026, around six months later. Our factory produces, packs and ships material by batch. Slabs from the same batch are normally closer in appearance, but it is not realistic to expect a new batch supplied around half a year later to be an exact match to a previous batch. No natural stone factory can guarantee that material supplied six months later will be identical in colour and appearance to an earlier batch.
For this reason, replacing the six slabs would not necessarily solve the issue. We could not guarantee that a further six slabs would be closer in appearance to the batch supplied in October 2025 than the slabs you have already received. Natural stone is not a colour-controlled artificial material and cannot be reproduced in the same way as printed products or paint.
You also mentioned that you may need to order more slabs from another company. Based on our experience in the natural stone industry, this is also unlikely to guarantee a colour match. Slabs purchased from another supplier are very unlikely to match exactly with the batch we previously supplied.
Regarding the wording “self-produced in overseas factory”, this refers to the fact that the product is produced and supplied through our own overseas factory supply system. It does not mean that granite is an artificial product with fully controlled colour. Granite remains a natural stone material, and natural colour variation, texture variation and batch variation are normal characteristics of the product.
We understand that you are disappointed with the result of the additional order, and we also understand that the delivery delay added to your frustration. In any case, we appreciate your previous business and sincerely hope that your final installation result is satisfactory.
Wish I read this before purchase
My experience with this company has been nothing short of frustrating and disappointing.
Despite repeated attempts to resolve my concerns directly, the company has failed to provide any meaningful response or resolution. Communication has been inconsistent at best and completely absent at worst. As a customer, I have made every reasonable effort to engage with them before leaving this review.
What raises further concerns is that I obtained a contact number associated with the company from my bank statement and called in an attempt to discuss the matter. The individual who answered refused to communicate regarding my issue, claiming they were not connected to the company. However, the name used by that individual matched the name of the person who had previously communicated with me via email. This only added to the confusion and reinforced the impression that the company is unwilling to engage transparently with customers when problems arise.
In an effort to better understand the company I was dealing with, I also reviewed publicly available records filed with Companies House. Those records appear to show that Pavingslabsuk has undergone multiple changes in ownership and control over time. While changes in ownership are not unusual in themselves, the pattern shown in the public filings has raised additional questions for me regarding accountability and continuity of responsibility when customer issues arise. I make no allegation of wrongdoing, but it is a factor that has contributed to my concerns about the company's handling of customer matters.
It is also difficult to reconcile the company's apparent attitude toward customers with the well-known principle that customer concerns should be taken seriously. Based on both my own experience and the responses I have seen posted to other Trustpilot reviews, there appears to be little genuine interest in understanding or resolving customer complaints.
As the company has repeatedly failed to address my concerns through normal customer service channels, I have now been left with no option but to pursue the matter through the appropriate legal and regulatory channels. I would have preferred an amicable resolution, but after exhausting reasonable attempts to communicate, I no longer have confidence that the company intends to resolve this matter voluntarily.
I would strongly encourage prospective customers to conduct their own due diligence, review the company's publicly available filings, and carefully consider how customer complaints are handled before placing an order.
I remain willing to update this review should the company finally engage constructively and resolve the outstanding issues.

Avoid this company, wrong colour slabs sent
Ordered an autumn brown indian sandstone patio pack 18m. On delivery the slabs were briefly checked and noticed it was labelled autumn brown so thought it was ok. When we got them out of the pallet they were clearly not the right colour and were grey slabs. They did not match the existing slabs in our garden which were varying autumn brown colours.
I contacted the company who refused to accept any liability even when clear pictures were sent telling me the grey sandstone slabs were more expensive, as if I should be grateful. I don't think this was done on purpose by them but once a mistake has been identified it should be rectified as it was their error and not what I paid for.
I appreciate the varying colours of indian sandstone and that they will not look exactly like my existing slabs but I know the difference between solely grey and the autumn brown range. I am also not stupid enough to believe that the grey will turn to different shades of autumn brown in the sun. My existing autumn brown slabs have not changed colour significantly and not to the extent they are completely different shades

Our management team has carefully reviewed your complaint and the photos provided. Based on what we can see, we believe the goods supplied are correct and that the material is indeed Autumn Brown sandstone. The quality also appears to be very good.
Unfortunately, you may have seen many online photos of Autumn Brown sandstone in a wet condition, where the brown tones can appear much stronger. It is important to understand that Indian sandstone shows richer and deeper colours when wet compared with when it is dry.
Autumn Brown sandstone also naturally contains iron minerals. Over time, especially after installation and exposure to normal weathering, the colour can develop further and show more brown and buff tones.
We would also like to explain that grey sandstone is usually around £1-2 per square metre more expensive than Autumn Brown sandstone, so there would be no reason for us to supply grey sandstone as a substitute for Autumn Brown.
We hope that once the paving is fully laid, weathered, and settled, you will be pleased with the final result. We would be grateful if you could update your review afterwards.

Unfortunately, from the communication, it appears that your main request has been for a full return of the order. After reviewing the matter, we would like to clarify the following points:
Firstly, your order was delivered by Palletways as a kerbside delivery. The pallets were placed in a suitable kerbside position in line with the nature of this delivery service.
Secondly, although you stated that some items were damaged, we have not received clear photographs showing the alleged damage. Based on the photographs available to us, the wooden crates appear to be intact and were placed at the kerbside delivery point.
Thirdly, smooth sandstone is a sawn natural stone product. Due to the nature of this material and the way it is processed, minor chips on the back edges can occur and are generally considered acceptable within the normal tolerance for this type of product. This point is clearly explained in our product information and relevant policy, where smooth sandstone is specifically mentioned.
REQUESTING A FULL RETURN DUE ONLY TO A VERY SMALL NUMBER OF MINOR CHIPS ON THE BACK EDGES IS GENERALLY NOT CONSIDERED ACCEPTABLE WITHIN THE NATURAL STONE INDUSTRY.
Based on the information currently available, we believe that our after-sales team responded correctly in accordance with our company policy.
Thank you for your understanding and for supporting our business. If, during installation, you find any genuine damage that is outside normal tolerance, please contact us as soon as possible. Even if the standard damage-reporting period has passed, we will still be willing to review the matter fairly based on the actual situation.

Excellent service and product. Ordered black porcelain slabs for our patio. Arrived when requested and are really happy with them now they have been laid. Be aware that the black ones aren’t black until they’re wet but they still look great just a lot lighter in colour. Will be ordering from this company again when we are doing the front garden.

Overall, I would say Paving Slabs UK is a good company, but my experience was a bit mixed.
On the positive side, their sales team were excellent — always very helpful, responsive and accommodating. I was undertaking a large garden project and placed three separate orders, and they were consistently the most competitive on price, which is why I chose them.
However, I was quite disappointed with the after-sales customer service.
On my first large order, a number of paving slabs arrived broken, and due to bad weather many of the boxes were ripped and damaged. I contacted them, but because I couldn’t provide a photo showing all the broken slabs together (the landscapers had already started work and disposed of some, and the slabs are too heavy for me to move myself), my issue was essentially dismissed.
Then, on my final order (for additional pieces we were short of), one of the slabs again arrived broken. When I raised this, I was simply directed to their website policy advising customers to order extra material. While I understand this policy, it was disappointing that on both occasions there was no real attempt to help or resolve the issue, especially when the damage occurred before the products even reached me.
In summary:

A good company to buy from, but be aware that customer support after delivery may not meet expectations if anything goes wrong.

In order to maintain this level of pricing, it is simply not possible for us to operate in the same way as high-mark-up companies that can afford to offer extremely flexible or open-ended claims policies.
In reality, like most paving slabs companies operating primarily through online sales, we follow the standard industry practice commonly adopted across the sector regarding breakages and damage allowances during transport and handling. This is also why we generally recommend customers order a little extra material. It is standard practice within the paving industry and helps allow for occasional transport breakages, cuts during installation and general wastage. Industry-wide, an allowance of around 7% is generally considered acceptable within paving and natural stone supply.
That said, we genuinely appreciate your continued support of our company, especially as you have placed three separate orders with us already. Customers like yourself are very important to us.

Really disappointing service. They had our order for over a week and were still unable to confirm a delivery date. Extra charges, poor online communication only. They also wanted us to confirm that we took all responsibility for any damages in transit before it arrived to us?! We shopped elsewhere and had a much better experience.

Your delivery location is quite remote, and unfortunately the access to your address is not suitable for a 12-tonne vehicle. It would have required a 7.25-tonne vehicle, which significantly increased the workload and coordination required from our team. We contacted the Palletways depot multiple times, but in the end we were unable to arrange a safe delivery to your address, and therefore proceeded with a full refund.
There may have been some delay during this process. For future orders involving large or heavy goods, we would recommend checking the retailer’s delivery policy in advance and carefully assessing site access conditions. This will help ensure a smoother and quicker delivery experience.
