I had a very disappointing experience with PayTabs. First, they have a hidden $265 fee that you only discover right before submitting your application. Charging such a high amount just to get a merchant account is unreasonable, especially when competitors like MyFatoorah—number one in the UAE and GCC—don’t charge anything for the same process.
After submitting my application, I was contacted by their merchant acquisition and onboarding team, but they asked for a lot of unnecessary documents. This made the process overly complicated, and I decided not to proceed. When I requested an immediate refund, I was told it would take 5 to 10 days. As a business owner, I know refunds shouldn’t take that long—it takes me less than a minute to refund my own customers.
Now, it has been 13 days, and I still haven’t received my money back. Today, I received an email saying they couldn’t process my refund because I paid using my Georgian bank account. This is absolutely ridiculous and something I’ve never encountered before. I’m left feeling scammed and incredibly frustrated.
I would not recommend PayTabs based on my experience. Hidden fees, excessive documentation, and delayed refunds are not acceptable for a company handling business payments.

Very bad customer service! I have a major issue since 3 days and I’m constantly trying to contact my “Merchant Support Executive” via phone, email, and business WhatsApp with no answer!!! Moreover, no phone for customer support only WhatsApp and email and they respond (if they do) very slowly. Now, they have stopped responding to my correspondence and I really urge any one considering this payment gateway to think twice!!! I regret doing business with them!!!

Update: Since December 21, 2024, I’ve formally requested a refund via email to both PayTab’s complaints and the customer service team. However, despite my efforts, I’ve only received automated messages with ticket numbers, promising a response within 24 hours. As of today, December 31, 2024, I’m writing this update to highlight the lack of timely response. Tickets no 249086/249087

Actually, i would like to draw your attention that my clients have paid through our website and the money was not deposited for 4 months now. Customer service/regional managers are weak to support. Truly bad experience, be careful

We had an issue with the split party payment where the payment was divided and we needed to block an amount from the host to ensure the full payment was paid. She suggested a new payment profile for the host.

As a existing customers of paytabs, we faced technical glitch with new protocol from Aug 14th which the junior team took more than 3 weeks to resolve. Thanks to Karan, Arpita and her team for intervening and providing timely support and resolving the issue.

My terrible story with the worst payment company in the Middle East, can be summarized as follows:
- After a friend recommended us to open an account with them, I waited months until the account was opened with them, and their sales team was very bad and unresponsive.
- The account was opened and we wish we had not opened an account with them, the biggest mistake in our project,
- Technical support is the worst technical support experience you will ever go through in your life and there is no direct support via a unified number or direct call, and support is only via email and if you send them a WhatsApp they will transfer you to the email, and you know that email support takes days to respond and solve the problem.
- Delay in disbursing dues, and they did send our payout, the disbursement period may exceed more than a month
- The company is not licensed by SAMA and an official complaint cannot be filed against it with the Monetary Agency.
- They do not have an open office to receive customers and solve their problems in Saudi Arabia. Their office is always closed, and only employees can enter it or take an appointment with one of the employees to open the door for you, and of course this is impossible because their office is actually illegal and not licensed by the official authorities.
- When you request their commercial registration, they evade it, and once they sent a registration number, and after checking it, it did not match the company's data.
My advice to anyone who wants to deal with them, do not think about it at all so that they do not fall into the same mistake we fell into.
