Lack of communication on order but quick delivery once the company received more stock

I like that the price of the product I purchased was the cheapest I could find on the market after applying a code.
However I'm disappointed that I was not informed that there was a delay on delivery as you are waiting for stock.
I only found out after making enquiries myself.
I've yet to receive the item I ordered and can't comment on the product itself.

UPDATE
I received the child car seat Saturday 22nd November and am very pleased with the product.

So I’m disappointed

So I’m disappointed, I’ve ordered push chair with next day delivery and get only one email about late delivery, they forgot txt to my that this pushchair is not available and they waiting to be send it from Germany and I wait 2 weeks but paid for next day delivery. Very disappointing

Great service the gate came the next…

Great service the gate came the next day, the gate was only ,only just fitting for 73cm opening, I got the 7cm extension which would have been better but the ends wouldn’t sit flush to the gate as the metal fixing bars were too big so wouldn’t fit with the extension as it made it too big for a 73cm opening.

Purchased online 7 days ago and when querying my order I’m told the item isn’t in stock to dispatch… so still waiting and no clue when it’s going to arrive!

Customer service here is shocking

Customer service here is shocking. I spoke to someone who was extremely rude and unhelpful. The gate I ordered was not what I expected and not fit for purpose so I needed to return. This was made really quite difficult and I also had to pay for pretty expensive courier fees. I am still waiting for my refund.

I wish I had the option to rate it as 0 stars! I don’t recommend and I won't waste my time again buying anything from this shop. I bought a cot bed and and dresser changer, paid for everything, including shipping, and after the order was confirmed, I got an email confirming a shipment from my order was on the way, then I got a disgusting surprise when they sent me an email informing me that they don't deliver to my address and asking for an additional £200 if I wanted to receive the product. Clowns!

To clarify, the issue with your order was due to the delivery address being in Ireland. As stated both at the checkout stage and in your order confirmation, the shipping price provided is an estimation. This is clearly outlined in our shipping policy, especially for larger or heavier items being delivered outside mainland UK, such as to Ireland.

We also explicitly advise customers in these regions to contact us directly to confirm the shipping cost before placing an order. This is because delivery prices can vary significantly depending on the size and weight of the products, and we aim to find the most cost-effective solution for each individual case.

In your situation, the cot bed and dresser changer are substantial items, and unfortunately, shipping them to Ireland incurs additional charges. As soon as this was confirmed with our courier, we contacted you promptly to advise of the additional cost.

We absolutely understand your frustration; however, referring to our team as “clowns” is both unfair and unhelpful. We always do our best to provide honest, transparent service, and we made every effort to support you throughout this process.

SHARP PRACTICE

I purchased a gate from this company and when I received it realised it was not fit for the purpose intended as I wanted it to stop my vizsla puppy from going upstairs. We have Cotswold stone walls and I requireda pressure gate which I thought this was. I phoned the company and spoke to a lady who explained the gate would only open if screwed into the wall for safety reasons and that they did not sell any other pressure gates that I could exchange it for. I asked if she could forward me a returns label, she said they do not do this and to take it to my nearest post office. This I duly did on the same day. I wrote the address on the box they delivered the gate in and sealed the box with fragile tape I also put order number and my name on the box. The postage cost me £13. I was a little put out about this as it turned out to be quite an expensive useless gate. When they sell pressure ones on Totsafe!

Anyway then I receive an email that because I had written on the box they are deducted 20% just to add insult to injury. What sharp practice. So beware from purchasing any from this company. If I could give this company a zero rating I would!!!

We understand how frustrating it must have been to find that the gate did not suit your particular needs. However, we would like to clarify that the product listing clearly states that while the gate can be pressure fitted as a barrier, it must be screw-fitted for full functionality and safety.

Regarding the return, as this was a change of mind rather than a fault with the item, our returns policy – which is available on our website – outlines that return postage is the responsibility of the customer. We do appreciate that you acted promptly to send it back.

As for the 20% deduction, this is also outlined in our returns terms. We respectfully ask that customers do not write directly on product packaging, as this renders the item unsellable as new. Unfortunately, as you mentioned, the box was written on, meaning we are unable to offer the item to another customer in its original condition.

We never intend to cause inconvenience and certainly do not engage in any form of sharp practice. Our aim is always to be transparent and fair by clearly stating our policies and product details prior to purchase.

We do appreciate your feedback and will continue to review our processes to ensure the best possible customer experience.
