I lost AED 50,000 because of this company. Nobody is 'expert' and just want to deflect blame.

As a new-comer to Dubai, OBVIOUSLY knowing nothing of course I trust the 'professionals' to help me make the right decisions. No. They want you money, take their commission, then don't care.
I am a personal trainer. When [6 weeks later!!!] the visa arrived, I could not accept a job in a gym with it.
Hilarious.
Had to cancel the 2 year visa (including the non-refundable insurance and coworking space I can never use) (not that I would - I'm a personal trainer..), could not use UAE pass (between visas) to access our rental dispute case files (our landlord wouldn't allow us to move in without the emirates ID... [which took SLIGHTLY longer than promised] despite plenty of alternatives, and 6 weeks in hotels in Dubai was not cheap..), so LOST the case
Probably the worst start to living in a new country imaginable.
Thank you RAKEZ for .... causing such traumatic financial & emotional stress. But at least you issued me a visa.. in the end. That was the wrong visa.

Overall, when things are easy, they are easy. However, the customer service isn't trained at all. When I needed to update my Visa as I had a change in Nationality, they were terrible. 5 people gave new versions. At the end the KYC which is just a click of one change took over a week.

Opened a company and started the visa process, I then secured a job, but no one in Rakez knew what to do with regards to my investor visa. Do I cancel, adjust, no one knew, one call said cancel the next said adjust, then they said you need a work visa, one customer service lady suggested I get a golden visa. This went on for 2 weeks. Time is of the essence in a visa process. Information, competencies and feedback dont exist here.I lost DHS12000 and had to pay an additional DHS380 to cancel the visa. To close the company is another Dhs4000. I am still waiting over a month now for feedback on an early question "How much to renew the trade license" Recommend you don't use them

Absolutely chaotic handling of closing the business.

Cost a lot of money to close the business down.

Before you sign up for visas, business set up etc make sure you find out what the process for closing everything down is and how much it's going to cost.

It took almost 2 months to close the company down. Emails from Rakez were REALLY vague, only way to get any sense was to make a complaint.

My particular "favourite" was being constantly told "Sponsor must be inside the country to process the request" (for visa cancellation) only then to find out later that an NOC to allow me to do this from outside the UAE was also an option.

I only got that information after I made an official complaint. Ha!

Every single bit of information you want or need is like pulling teeth.

Never again.

I have been a client for 4 years and was not notified once regarding corporate tax registration once. On top of this, they have given horrible customer service taking days to weeks for simple requests. There are a lot of freezones who take care of their clients and don’t put them in situations with massive fines pending until it’s too late to contest

Scam. They add on fees for everything. Then if you want to close down the business it is more money and extra fees. Definitely not worth working with them.

I’m very disappointed with the level of service I’ve experienced. The customer service team at RAKEZ seems unprepared and lacks the necessary knowledge to assist clients effectively.
If I had a choice, I would not select RAKEZ again, and I cannot recommend it to others.

If you are considering working with them, don’t. They constantly charge extra fees, and many of them are hidden. Closing your business with them will cost you more than applying for a brand-new license. Even if they come to you with a “big offer,” do not get started with them. There are plenty of other companies in the UAE that can help you open your license for a much lower cost.

RAKEZ forced me to renew my e-Channel even though I already had a valid one that hadn’t expired. I repeatedly asked for it to be removed from my quotation, but was told it’s “policy” and no exceptions are allowed. This makes the renewal process feel like a forced bundle designed to generate extra revenue rather than a genuine requirement.

My assigned License Renewal Manager, Ms. Naira, did not handle my case well. Instead of addressing my questions directly, she often gave unrelated answers, and when I pointed it out, she stopped responding completely. To make matters worse, she sent me a Google Maps link that was incorrect (though the written address was right), which wasted my time and caused me to drive an extra 20 minutes.

Overall, the experience was frustrating, unprofessional, and costly.

Der Service des Verwaltungsbüros ist eine absolute Katastrophe. Das Verständnis der Mitarbeiter und die Lösungsbereitschaft (in meinem Fall bei der Deregistration einer Firma) ist nicht zu erkennen. Anfragen werden profan beantwortet, Eigeninitiative ist nicht vorhanden.

Beim Verkauf von Lizenzverlängerungen sind die Mitarbeiter stets zur Stelle.

Hier steht Service ganz hinten an und das Backoffice ist ebenfalls mehr als rudimentär und fehlerbehaftet.

Nie wieder - ich kann nur jedem empfehlen eine andere Freezone zu wählen.

1) license generated at first instance is theoretically valid but needs to pass FTA registration. Upon further registrations at FTA it may happen your chosen business name may be discovered be an issue. And you need to amend this.
As Rakez team knows this easily being an issue, it may appear strange their FTA team might request new name, while license team says it's ok. Patience. Your name might still pass FTA criteria. But prepare with good alternative names too. It may upset when very early in the process Rakez team request new name alternatives. But all is good actually
FTA process can take 3-4 months to complete.

2) they create your e-accounts at authorities - but they do not share the login credentials with you. Why? Because you need to fix your UAE pass YOURSELF online with your passport! You will easily confuse yourself in this. But at the end your UAE PASS is the ONLY legit login to your company affairs.

3) irrespective of if they give status service status completed - it may require action from you with your UAE pass. But you will receive from authorities notifications of it. Expect FTA topic being one. Then reiterate with Rakez (roundtrip of around 1 week), and then with your UAE pass complete with needed.

Other than these practicalities which may twist your ankles if not knowing that in advance, all is good and in good hands.

Excellent portal to manage your Rakez related affairs.

They are not good and very expensive, all UAE trade licenses are expensive compared to the world.

Super slow, no updates on status, so far it’s not at all what I expected!

It is a scam please don't fall for it ,all they do is try to extract money from you , never ever try to register visa and company in anywhere in uae too.i lost money please you don't

Worst service ever
They said the business license will be issued within 48 hours it has been almost three weeks now they rejected it.
We applied through universal zone whom promised us many things that were not fulfilled. We are very much disappointed that universal zone applied three times while rejected and still talking about partial refund shameful for both rakes which has the worst service and universal zone that both wasted our time nd money nd made us lose our long time waiting clients

They are very helpfull until you pay. Before the renewal period we already asked to do a deregistration of the company. We submitted al the documents, paid the fee, but nothing happened. One year later they said it still wasn’t done, and that there are now government fees. Eventually they can’t even sent the forms for signatures correctly and nobody seems to want to help.

They scam you hard.
