We had Wandsworth Sash Windows install a new bay sash window for us. The work was completed to a very high standard and looks great. Immediately we noticed far better insulation – the room feels warmer, with far less draught and noise. The team were professional, tidy, and finished on time and on budget.

Just had a single sash window replaced in our living room, and the difference is incredible. There are no more draughts, and the new window looks perfectly in keeping with the original style of the house. The team were friendly, professional and efficient, and left everything spotless when they finished. Really happy with the whole experience and would definitely recommend them

Fantastic experience - highly recommended. We had a Victorian sash window fully replaced with a double-glazed version and you would never know the difference to look at it. The finish is immaculate and the work was completed in one day with minimal fuss and no mess left behind. Communication in the lead-up to the work was excellent and we will absolutely use them again in future when we replace our other single-glazed windows.

Wandsworth Sash Windows did a great job of fitting a hardwood sash for us. The process was very smooth and the staff were attentive and updated us frequently; and the fitting was done with care and attention to detail. The window is high quality and works well with our period property. The price was competitive, we shopped around and their quote seemed fair for the current market. We’ll definitely go to them for future jobs.

WSW have been amazing throughout the process - they communicate clearly, have attended any issues after the fact promptly, worked quickly and professionally and I'm really pleased with my new windows!

I have just had my bedroom bay window replaced from the original sash window to double glazing & am so glad that I decided to go with Wandsworth Sash Windows.

The whole team were brilliant to deal with, really professional, tidy and communicative throughout. I really wanted to keep the original character of my Victorian home, and they've done exactly that whilst upgrading me to double glazing.

It's made such a difference already - the house is quieter, warmer and the windows look fantastic. I'd very happily (and have already) recommend them. I also love that it's a family owned business with Matthew and Nathan leading the team but everyone I've dealt with, from Sean the surveyor to Ghas the installer - they've all been lovely!

Just had new bay windows and a bedroom window all sash. Very pleased with the result. Very professional fitter and carpenter who exceeded my expectations. He overcame problems as the house is very old and the finish was superb.

After doing a great deal of research we decided to use WSW for a full front and back installation of timber framed double glazed windows. We liked their quick responses to pre-install queries - particularly given we’re in a conservation area with strict rules governing such work. WSW handled the entire process with the local authority, including full management, legalities, design and drawings. There was great communication throughout the process. The flexibility of spreading payment across three phases was also very helpful. During the install the fitters were polite, courteous, friendly and helpful and utterly professional. They were respectful of our property and really went the extra mile in helping us to move the furniture around whilst they did their work. When it’s such a big project, there’s a great deal of anxiety and worry about getting the job done properly, but the calm and methodical approach really reassured us and each end of day the team left the property in a clean and habitable condition. Overall we’re very happy with the service and, more importantly, the product. Superb quality craftsmanship, superior quality materials, great team of onsite professionals from surveyors to fitters and a highly responsive back office team.

After numerous visits to check measurements etc, they were finally efficiently installed in a day and a half.

Avoid. Do not trust this company. One star is generous.

In November 2025, I posted a review of this company, which after months of ghosting triggered Matthew (company director) to start communicating with me after his colleagues failed to do so.

After a promise of the matter being prioritized and dealt with, I sought to give the company the benefit of the doubt, and give them an opportunity to complete the job that they never completed in January 2025.

They asked me to amend or take down my negative review which I said I would consider when the faulty installation had been remedied.

However here we are in July 2026 - 18 months later, and the matter STILL has not been remedied.

There was a site visit in February to try one proposed solution which didn’t work, followed by weeks of chasing for Nathan to produce new drawings, followed by a promise on 11th May of a second solution to be tried and completed by the end of June (with no explanation why making one window would take more than 6 weeks when the glass was already at the workshop).

Now I have no choice but to make it clear in a public forum that this company is in receipt of over £30,000 of my money for an incomplete and faulty job and I am no closer to having the matter resolved.

Communication has once again ceased.

11th May - no response from Matthew to email.
15th June - OOO for Matthew so sent email to Nathan (other company director) and James. No response.
2nd July - sent email. no response from Matthew/ Nathan or James
7th July - sent email no response to email deadline of end of the working day.

I am assuming that their new business is taking priority over remedying something they have already been paid for, but I would seriously think twice about trusting this company with your money or your windows.

We’re really pleased with our new sash windows. The quality is excellent, and they’ve completely transformed the look of our Edwardian home while retaining its original character. I also shopped around a bit and WSW seemed to offer the best value around for real wood!

Matthew and Charlie were knowledgeable, responsive and easy to deal with throughout the project. He answered our questions promptly and kept us informed at each stage.

The standard of the windows and the installation is excellent, and we’re delighted with the result. As with most renovation projects, there are a few snagging items towards the end, but these are being dealt with professionally.

Overall, we’ve had a positive experience and would happily recommend Wandsworth Sash Windows to anyone looking for high-quality timber sash windows.

I'd heard a lot of good things about Wandsworth Sash Windows and was really pleased that I followed my instincts and placed an order for two replacement sash windows and a refurbishment of a further two. The workmanship and quality is great, and the fitters were really easy to get on with.

We replaced the sashes in our Victorian house 3 years ago and we could not be happier.

It was a large contract of new sashes for around 15 windows and 4 new casement windows. The largest windows were around 2.5 metres high and 1.25. They required new weights, weighted around 40 kg per panel and took a day to install just a single window, but the results are great. Putting new frames on wonky Victorian frames requires skills and craftsmanship and three years on we have no problems in opening them and no paint is peeling off. The sales service with the central office is also excellent, throughout the process. When I recently got in touch with them to change a glass as a result of a burglary, they were to the point and helpful as usual.

I had shopped around before settling with them. Their service also included painting of the frame, which others did not do. The frames are in hardwood and just beautiful and they are very well installed, which is what really made the difference.

Great customer service. We have used them many times. They are good at communication and they always send polite and friendly workmen.

When things didn’t go as planned they bent over backwards to help us correct the issues at no extra cost even when one of the issues was our fault. The work was carried out as agreed by the works schedule. It was of good quality and was as described.

Wandsworth Sash Windows built and installed our new front door and we’re over the moon with it. The olive green colour match is spot on, and the quality of the woodwork is exceptional. You can feel it’s proper joinery, not factory mass-produced. The guys fitting it were respectful and professional, clearly proud of their work. We had to wait a bit due to the lead time, but that was made clear from the start. Couldn’t be happier with the service or the result.

The early visits to see the project were fine, with plenty of phone contact from the office. It was a pretty expensive business so finally I decided to have only the living room done, a 3 window bay. They were so busy that they had to cancel twice as another job had overrun.
The guys who came to measure up were easy to talk to and pleasant. When the actual installing team of two came they took great care with protecting carpets and furniture, the only thing I would say is the boss of the two did not have very good English and was a bit hard to understand, so I was suddenly not sure what was going on,whether to go out or not etc. However result after 1 1/2 days was excellent and stunningly good so all in all an excellent local Company. Recommended.

Wandsworth Sash Windows just finished a big job for us, a handful of sash windows plus a casement at our period property. The whole job ran tight and clean.
Sean ran the survey and didn't rush it. He walked uss through the options and helped us land on the right trade-off between keeping the house's character and adding double glazing.
Ghas and Morgan did the fitting and they were brilliant. Showed up on time every morning, worked quietly, and you could tell they cared about how it looked at the end. Joints, beads, and edges all clean. Floors and furniture stayed covered the whole time, and by the last day the place was spotless.
The admin team kept us in the loop too. When one sash cord needed a tweak afterwards, they had a fitter back at the house within a week (no chasing, no hassle).
The house is warmer, quieter, and the paint finish looks gorgeous. A couple of neighbours have already asked who did them. Worth every penny, reliable, friendly, and the work itself perfectly blends into the rest of the house.

We have dealt with WSW a few times, and have been disappointed with our experience.

When they first installed three windows in our house, the redecoration service was incredibly sloppy - for example the frame around the sash windows in our sitting room has areas that have only been filled to half way up the window, and the installers took it upon themselves to use decorators caulk on a new window seat we had just had custom built, which was designed to have a removable top. Furthermore, the finish on the painting done around the area was terrible.

When we then ordered another window to be replaced with vacuum glass at a later date, it took seven months between ordering the window to when the window was installed, and my emails chasing for updates on production timelines were repeatedly ignored by the company for month long periods. We had been originally told to expect a lead time of 12 weeks. What was particularly surprising was that I was prompted to pay for the second deposit (taking the deposit paid to 90% of the price of the windows) only before we were made aware of any delay, which seemed very convenient.

For our third interaction with the company, when we ordered vacuum glass windows for the final two windows that needed replacing in the house, we were misquoted for the windows due to an error with WSW's invoices, and only told this after we had paid a deposit. When I asked to share the extra cost incurred due to the misquoting, I was told this was not possible. After agreeing to pay the full amount for the windows, I was then told that our order had been cancelled and WSW were not willing to do the job, whilst being given no reason why this was the case. This was in spite of the fact that we already had builders in our house renovating the rooms where the windows were to be replaced, one of which was the only bathroom in our house, whilst we had a six-month old baby (which WSW was aware of).

For anyone looking work with WSW, be sure to check their asymmetric Terms and Conditions, as they will use these to justify cancelling orders, significant delay in lead times, or to absolve themselves from any responsibility for costs incurred to their customers due to factors that are their fault.

I would recommend using The London Sash Window Company instead, who have been incredibly helpful when we had to find an alternative sash window company to deal with, and have shorter lead times. Vacuum glass sash windows are an excellent product, but WSW are not the only company in London who supply them, and our experience with them, from installation to customer services, has been terrible.

In response to WSW's response:

- The review was amended following a request from trustpilot, via WSW, for further details.
- The difference between the quotes was not picked up because WSW said that a discount had been applied to the second quote.
- "Rebuffing" WSW's offer for a refund is a misrepresentation of events - we were in the middle of a renovation project and were trying to reason with WSW who were refusing to do the job in spite of the deposit being paid, given the huge inconvenience associated with not being able to source the windows, the fact that we had since agreed to pay the full price difference between the invoices (which turned out to be £1372), and had paid the small difference in deposit price based on an invoice that had been sent to us for the revised amount.
