I always get Southern Cross insurance
I always get Southern Cross insurance. It's easy to do online,and they accept my pre existing medical conditions. I haven't had to claim yet,and hope that they would be as easy to deal with if I had to. I'm sure they would.

The Highest Value travel insurance I've ever had.
The price was the best of any other travel insurance, and the coverage was better! It covered MORE travel scenario with LOWER excesses.
We actually had to claim for illness overseas. The claim portal was super easy, and it was approved so quickly!
I had an orthodontic mishap on the outbound flight, and reached out to see if it was covered if needed. It was, and it turned out I didn't need it - but I was impressed with the coverage.

No medical support once home.

Easy to apply with them
Easy to apply with them. Had no issues on our trip so didn't need to claim, but nice to know we were covered when over in America. Price was up there for my husband due to some health issues, price was reasonable for me.

We chose based mainly on cost
We chose based mainly on cost, then cover. We had no call to lodge a claim (thankfully), so cannot comment on reliability of claim process.
