My advice is to read the 104 pages of the policy document thoroughly. We made a claim for hospital scans after my wife fell over our daughters dog and hit her head rather seriously. Our claim was declined as claims relating to personal pets are not covered. If we had said the fall wss tripping over a tree root it would be covered. I guess the message here is to tell porkies.

STTI is easy to understand and get a policy. I have got travel insurance from them many times and find it easy & affordable. I have not had any travel issues to need to make a claim so can't review that side of things. Happy with what I've received so far

Slow Claims Process and Poor Customer Experience
My phone was stolen in London, and dealing with SCTI afterwards was incredibly frustrating. After more than a month, I finally received a reply email, that apologised and assured me an assessor will be assigned as soon as possible.
Nearly two months from the claim date and I have been informed they are raising complaint internally, but still no approval of cover.
The biggest disappointment was the loss of confidence we had in SCTI for the remainder of our trip. Travel insurance should provide reassurance when something goes wrong, but instead we felt anxious and uncertain about whether we would receive support if a more serious emergency occurred.
The overall customer experience fell well below what we expected from a travel insurer. Based on our experience, I would not choose SCTI again.
