brilliant business

I've been buying from this company for a few years now and can't fault them,very good quality food and service,little hiccup once or twice with dpd delivery which is NOT seafresh"s fault it's the courier, but overall seafresh and rhoda are brilliant thankyou x

Ordered crabs & crab claws for an…

Ordered crabs & crab claws for an important party. Arrived a day late, left on the doorstep in full sun. On opening the box an hour or so later, the items were slightly cold, no dry ice at all. Left some of the claws in the fridge to try later and put the rest in freezer. The claw meat was grey & tasteless, on trying that evening! I haven't even ventured to try the crab. Not giving it to my guests, what seems to be old and tasteless crab! What a waste of money!

Wow. Our reviews are consistently 5 star. We never had a one star review out of over 2700 and now we have 2 in the same week. To say we are devastated would be the understatement of the year. I apologise for the parcel arriving a day late but this is due to a glitch on our system. Deliveries to Northern Ireland take two days. There is also a £12 supplementary delivery charge. This has been in place since Brexit and all the complications that came with it. Your order wasn't identified as a NI delivery, the supplementary charge wasn't applied and our staff didn't pick up on the Co Antrim address. All this would explain why the confirmation email gave you a delivery date of a day earlier than it was due. It also explains why there was no Dry Ice - we put extra in for 2 day deliveries. As for your comments about the Crab Claws being tasteless and grey I really can't accept that. We sell tonnes of Crab and we sell it fast. It's caught, cooked and frozen on the same day. Our reputation is important to us and a 1 star review is hugely damaging. It's a pity you didn't contact us on the Wednesday when you were expecting your delivery. Had you done so you would have experienced our amazing customer service. In any case, because it was our error in not identifying your NI address we will process a full refund.

GF and Histamine intolerance Foods available.

Prompt delivery. Excellent GF and Histamine Intolerance foods available. Great portions of fish and chicken.
I can even use the packaging in the garden. The sheep's wool is excellent for covering plants in the winter and the birds love it for nest building.

Once bitten twice shy

We tried these fish and were eagerly anticipating trying them. Here are our thoughts
1) Seabass. It was tasteless and lost alot of water when thawing.
2) Mackerel. Again a lot of water when thawing. I know its an oily fish but the fat was off and tainted the fish meat.
3) Smoked haddock. Very dry and very salty
4) Hake. Ok but 4oz of water was lost from 3 fillets weighing 17oz.
Overall we will never order from you again. We love fish and this was a huge disappointment.

Good evening Mercedes, I am so disappointed that you have felt like this and not been in touch with us? This order was done middle of January. If you would have picked up the phone we could have discussed the issues. I can see you have not liked ANY product you ordered though? We have never ever had a 1 star review, 4’s and 5’s - you can see from our other reviews. Our fish is always bought from the best suppliers. We sell lots of each fish you have had, we have not had any complaints at all. Of course every now and then something may happen and we put it right but to not like any of the fish you have had is unheard of, certainly for us. The Seabass we have a lot, the staff too and it’s beautiful, there is a protective ice glaze, water will come off, it’s frozen but the bass left is lovely …. Mackerel is an oily fish yes and very strong flavour, i don’t know what you mean the fat was off? It can’t be off, it’s frozen quick, so im sorry i may have the wrong end of the stick on that one? Smoked Haddock should be poached, or added to a recipe, it can’t be dry if you cook it this way? We recommend to cook most fish from frozen, the fish steams and cooks beautifully, it never drys. If the fish is dry it’s overcooked, The fish with skin is a little different, some is better defrosted yes and cooked for less time or poached, grilled etc. the hake though is better cooked from frozen. Lose foil parcel in the oven, 30 mins, perfect? There is always a protective ice glaze, some more than others, the industry standard is 20% however we pay extra for less ice glaze, we always have. The Hake naturally has a low glaze. I wish you had picked up the phone, we could have advised you on the cooking and certainly replaced some of the products for you r tried something others. I can see you have made up your mind before speaking to us, we are sorry you feel this way and extremely disappointed too.

This is a lovely company to deal with!

This is a lovely company to deal with. I had a query about an order that I had placed as there was a mix up with the delivery date. My call was answered promptly and confirmation was given that all was fine with my expected delivery, then Rhoda personally rang and left a message assuring me my order would arrive on time. Such a refreshing change to have "proper" customer service. The quality of the fish is great, I have ordered from them several times and always been very satisfied with my goods. Highly recommended

Decided to order different things this time as what I wanted they didnt have. Everything came that I ordered and a little extra gift. Seafresh is the best. Wouldn’t get my fish from anyone else. Give it a try you won’t be disappointed.

Excellent Company to deal with.

Only my second order. When I ordered they didn't have the dressed crab, so I reluctantly ordered the whole crab. I did however add a note, asking if the dressed crab came in before they despatched the order, could they swap. I received an email the following day from Rhoda, she said the dressed crab had indeed arrived and she was more than willing to do this. The crab was beautifully presented and tasted lovely. I do like people that are prepared to go above and beyond.

Amazing

Amazing, my first order was delayed by courier so products edible straight away but could not refreeze, contacted company and the lovely Rozz sorted straight away and new order sent next day, she also phoned to see if new order was ok. Will definitely use again

Had my first order and had the Cromer dressed crab, absolutely delicious looking forward to the lobster and scampi I ordered, will be definitely trying Seafresh other products 👍
