Check book guidance clearly

I sent the books in good faith based on an initial £10 valuation. After inspection, the offer was reduced to £2 due to some being classed as ex-library, although some books were new. This was only raised after the books had been sent.
If the reduced offer is declined, the books are recycled and cannot be returned, even if return postage is offered. In practice, this means that once books are sent, customers have no meaningful choice if the valuation is lowered.

Be aware they dont pay what is quoted

For selling used books: easy to use app with scan. Instructions clear, communication prompt on pick up, arrival and payments.
Beware that they unlikely to pay what is quoted even if the books are in good used condition. The reasoning for assessment of book condition leading to this is unclear.
There is no option to have the books sent back if this happens either.

I would stick to webuybooks or sell your books apps, who generally will pay what is quoted unless the book has been trashed.

NOT PAID AFTER 14 DAYS!! TERRIBLE SCAM COMPANY…STICK TO WORLD OF BOOKS!!!

Order completed finally, this company does pay much for books …but the book they pay the most for you will find they will not accept it but conveniently will not give explanation for why and be warned this book will not come back to you so expect it will probably get sold as a used book … getting paid well my order was dispatched on the 21st December today the 8th is day 14 working days STILL NOT PAID.. stick to world of books this company is dodgy and take nearly half a month to pay and even still don’t pay…

It is easy to sell books back.

It is easy to navigate through the procedure for selling books back, although on this occasion they found 2 books that were claimed to be not up to standard. I can't argue with this and the total amount was reduced accordingly.

Didn’t Pay What They Quoted

Over the last 5 years or so, I have sold approximately 7 batches of books to different businesses such as this.
Only 1 sale to Sell It Back, which was recently. All of them paid me what they quoted me, except Sell It Back, who paid me approximately 90% of what they quoted me.
I’m sure that they would probably argue that the books sold to Sell It Back were in worse than average condition. They were not. They were all in reasonable condition, just like the books sold in the other 6 batches to the other 6 companies, who all paid me what they quoted. Will not use Sell It Back again.

well done Rohan!

what I find uplifting is for all the the technical glitches I come across of which there are sometimes frustrating it seems the only one running this company I come across is this lad Rohan who really tries and does his best to sort things which is more often done in a timely way. great there is a phone contact unlike some other comparable firms. I am a pensioner and not that tech savvy but he has explained processes well. I would have given a 5 but the courier Evri seems to lose quite a few parcels and it is hard to track for me since they stopped paper receipts; Also a bit hit and miss on the pay out when they deduct the higher value books when I know they were ok otherwise wouldn't have sent them but even so I have 96% success with the orders so wont whinge; I use the money to filter into local good causes of our choice and not a business so it is a nice thing to do so the books don't go to landfill and someone gets a meal

Rip Off

Went to a lot of time and effort to scan , package and post books which I'd been given what I believed be be a fair offer for only to only be paid 2/3rds of offer ?
No explanation at all , books where used but in a very good condition. No damage whatsoever and well packaged !
Very disappointed!
Never used this company before and certainly wouldn't use or recommend them again !!

Not sure they can be trusted ?

Their chosen courier is EVRI who everyone knows is the worst possible option.

They took my books, they are tracked and 2 weeks later still not delivered.

I contacted We Buy Books and they accepted responsibility then to send me an email a day later stating one of the books was missing and another had a damaged spine. Not do I dispute this fact I have evidence from EVRI that the delivery has still not taken place.

Selling to this company is clearly a CON.

I have already emailed the company per the response below and still no money and books showing undelivered.

Misleading, Delayed, and Dishonest Payment Process

Customers should think very carefully before trusting this company.I've interacted with SellitBack commencing 10 September 2025, and my encounter has been utterly deplorable.
They affirmed in documented form on 29 September 2025 that all four of my transactions would be remitted completely and evident within my financial institution account on 30 September.
On 30 September, they conceded only ONE transaction (12584363 for £21.80) had undergone processing, whereas the remaining three persist as outstanding:
Sale 12584437 – £10.30
Sale 12584421 – £29.82
Sale 12584394 – £23.09
Their electronic correspondence recurrently refutes itself, informing me one day I’ll receive payment imminently, the subsequent day asserting bank remittances necessitate three days, subsequently recanting once more.
They perpetually disseminate hollow regrets in lieu of remittance verification.
This enterprise has squandered weeks of my time, neglected to uphold their own documented pledges, and persists in deceiving patrons. My circumstance constitutes a prime illustration of how they manipulate individuals with pretexts.
Prospective clientele should contemplate scrupulously prior to entrusting this enterprise.

What a bunch of scammers

What a bunch of scammers. As a test I put a book into the system that is out of print and not even available direct from the publishers. I found two second hand copies online. One was £242.94 and supposed to be in very good condition. One was £175 in "fine" condition and there was a brand new edition available from the USA for £483.23 plus £22.33 shipping. My copie is mint. Guess what SellitBack offered me for it? 20 pence. Yes, TWENTY PENCE!! Unless you are selling run of the mill tat stay well clear!!!
