A Good Company

Reasonable prices offered for books. Lots of convenient locations to drop the parcel off. Usually super-fast processing and payment but on the one occasion there was a delay, the communication kept me clearly informed about what was going on. Sign of a good company.

Delay in order being delivered to yourselves. Not received reason as to why some books not given price quoted.

Update/reply to buyers comment. I feel my books were in great condition. Certainly not substandard as mainly been used once or twice. It is what it is!

Confusing/No Response/Poor Communication..... AVOID, AVOID, AVOID

Website/app not as easy to use or navigate as other similar apps like ziffit, webuybooks and music magpie. On completion of my first order it told me at the end that I needed to print a label, which I am not able to do. If I had known this I would not have used the service.

I then looked through the site and after a lot of time I found a part that stated if you sell over 60 items they use DPD, I know DPD have previously applied their own labels to packages so i thought I'd try again. This time I got asked when I would like the collect and how many boxes there would be. I needed a lot of boxes! At 3:30am the following morning I get an email saying the collection was that day and I still needed to print off another label that was in an email and put it inside the box.

I emailed them back immediately and said this was unacceptable as I had been given no time to actually package the order, also as I'd mentioned to them already, I have no printer so I cannot print any labels, is this label really necessary.

I was then able to rearrange the delivery with the DPD app, but later got a message saying DPD had tried to collect.

I am yet to receive a response for either order from this company.

After reading other reviews I have completely lost faith that I will get any money for these books and feel like I'm wasting my time waiting for a response from this company.

I've decided not to bother sending the orders at all now.

Stick with the good companies, ziffit, webuybooks and music magpie!!! Avoid this company unless you want total confusion and lack of trust you will get the money you deserve for your order.

The aspect concerning labels is very clearly stated on our website. We have detailed the same below:

1. On the main page, there is a video link that illustrated the process of submitting an order. There is a label been pasted on a box 0.12 seconds into the video.

2. Below the “Hear what our customer have to say” section, there is a brief description of the stages involved in submitting an order. This specifically states the following:

“Pack - Once you've placed an order, pack your items and attach your free shipping label.”

Get paid

3. If you scrolled down to the bottom of our website, we have a hyperlink titled “Packaging Guidelines”. If you read through this section, it states as follows:

“When creating multiple orders please do not mix orders in boxes and ensure the label affixed corresponds to the contents. This means we can easily track your items – ensuring you get paid faster. If you require more packaging labels then these can be found in your account.”

4. We also have a “How it works” hyperlink, again, if you scrolled down to the bottom of the main page, in which we state the following:

“SHIP - Pack your items & use the free shipping label emailed to you and drop it off to any Evri Parcel Shop or alternatively, we can collect the item right from your doorstep.”

5. Finally, in our Terms & Conditions, which also can be found on our website, we state as follows:

“12.9 We have discontinued sending of labels by post. You will have to make your own arrangements for the same and we will not be liable for any unshipped orders for which you have not been able to print the assigned label.”

“14.5 Each box in the order, should also contain a copy of the label so as to aid speeding processing and payment, once your order arrives at our warehouse.”

It is therefore unfair that you would attribute "total confusion" entirely to us especially when we have made it clear that a label is necessary to process an order on our website.

The introduction to our Terms and Conditions page states:
“These terms and conditions govern your use of our website and mobile app. Please read the terms in full before you using our services. If you do not accept these terms, please do not use our Website or mobile app. Using the website or mobile app implies that you accept these terms. We do occasionally update these terms so please refer back to them in the future.”

We believe that you if you were aware that you needed a label and you did not have a printer, as per our Terms & Conditions, you reserved the right to not use our website or mobile app.

It is worth mentioning that you created and submitted your second order (283 items) before we even had a chance to respond to your first query. We believe that if you had given us the opportunity, we could have saved you the trouble.

However, we apologise for not having responded to your first email, but we appreciate that we should have, irrespective of whether or not you had submitted a second order. For this we are most sincerely sorry. Feedback for the same has been passed on to the relevant colleague and we will make sure this does not happen again.

On behalf of the team at SellitBack, it is our regret what your first experience has been a negative one. We respect the fact that you have options as a customer and you deserve the best.

I received my order and was very…very happy customer

I received my order and was very pleased with the choice I had and the quick despatch and delivery of my books , however one was damaged so I informed awesome books and they got another one to me very soon . I believe the aftercare is just as important & they didn’t fail . I will def use this company again 10/10

3 star review of sellitback

The reason for my 3 stars is because I do like the fact that there’s an app that allows me to give books a second home and be able to get some money back. However I’m taking 2 stars away is because the pay of the books is extremely low and nowhere near the price of the book and also the books require to be in such a book condition no water that has been poured on them before no writing inside the books. I’m not greatly impressed with the app. Also it doesn’t work with all books. I have over 30 books that I tried to scan and none of them were able to be sold to sellitback

Very easy to use but some of the books…

Very easy to use but some of the books that are rejected, I can not understand the reason. First time I used them, none of my books were rejected. Every time since I have had the majority of my books rejected and hardly any pennies paid out. Will not be using again.

As usual, excellent customer service.

Awesome books mistakenly quoted the postage on my parcel of books as 0 pounds, and added the postage to the cost of the books. In consequence, I had to pay tax on my purchase (as the total price was higher than the non-tax sum). I wrote to customer service, and was dealt with politely, quickly and efficiently by Manjeet. The tax I had to pay was refunded (in fact, the sum refunded was more than the tax). As usual, excellent customer service.

A scam

A scam. No follow-up once you send the goods, anonymised emails back from "Customer Service". Unwilling to help when I queried where my payment for £11.00 was. I provided the tracking numbers supplied on their own labels, yet they refused to help and told me that I needed proof of scan at the parcel shop.
