Just spent a week in the beautiful…
Just spent a week in the beautiful village of Blockley. Unfortunately, the cottage didn't live up to all the good reviews. The cottage itself is nice and clean but desperately needs updating. All the appliances like Toaster, kettle, oven, coffee machine are cheap and don't work well. The dining table top is badly stained and off putting to eat from. The sofa and chairs are extremely uncomfortable. The only nice things about the cottage is the shower and location. When paying all this money I did expect more. If you only plan to sleep in the cottage and NOT cook or spend time just relaxing then it will be OK. But otherwise its not suitable.

I'm really disappointed that after…
I'm really disappointed that after making a booking we needed to make changes, when we contacted you we were told we have to contact Sykes Cottages but it could be a couple weeks before they contacted us via email. We have tried ringing them all day on the 6th June only for the recorded message to inform us it's best to do it online. They do not reply to emails unless it's to confirm a booking.

As a booking platform, we advertise properties on behalf of our partner agencies, and any amendments to a reservation need to be managed directly by the agency you booked with. In this case, that was Sykes Holiday Cottages.
We appreciate that being redirected and then experiencing delays in receiving a response would have been frustrating. We do always advise in holding on their lines, as an agent would have been able to assist, you can sometimes just have to wait in the hold queue.

Hafod Lodge Llantrisant
Booked Hafod Lodge Llantrisant for my Daughter's Hen weekend, there were 14 of us and we had use of the main lodge and the bunk house, this place is beautiful in a lovely location, there were a few minor issues but nothing that spoilt our weekend and after reporting them I was told they would be rectified as soon as the cleaners and maintenence went in following our departure which I asked for as didn't want the disruption while we were there, the site offers plenty of room and we had some fun games for the hen around the pool and on the lawn, lovely hot tub as well and property is well equipped for self catering (only thing I would suggest if for you to take along your own knife for cutting up food as they don't provide one - health and safety) all bedding and towels provided but bring your own pool towels, I would definitely recommend this place for a large group event, we had a ball and will hopefully return some day to do it all again
