I had a few problems with delivery but this was explained to me and was acceptable to me had no problems with communication and was kept updated with information about my delivery’s and James was true to his word & delivered my order when he said he would and the meat looks lovely can’t wait to cook it.

Having spent hundreds of pounds with this business over the years I was appalled at the way I was treated over an issue with some chicken.
The courier failed to deliver on time and when the box arrived the ice packs were melted and the chicken warm with a strong smell.
I reported this to Stilton butchers immediately.
I was asked to send CCTV footage of the DPD van delivering the product late 'because he knew the directors'.. yeah right!
I was assured a new lot would be sent out, then I was told I would get a refund, then the admin team were on holiday - followed by numerous other excuses drawn randomly out of the excuse generator machine!
A month after all this I just opened a claim with my credit card and got a refund.
What a complete fiasco!

Used Stilton Butchers on several occasions and happy with service and quality. Recent heat wave caused issues with their refrigeration and couriers that led to delays. Communication during this period was sketchy at times but assume concentration elsewhere. Overall good but as they will admit not up to usual standard

Received my order yesterday Extremely pleased with the quality of the meat Cooked 2 of the sirloin steaks last night They were absolutely delicious succulent and full of flavour Will be putting another order in very soon So pleased they have got their deliveries back on track My order was delayed but had excellent communication with James who sorted it out for me

Ordered on 25th July was due to be delivered 5th of August, despite numerours emails and calls to phone line where you can only leave a message! still no update and no response but payment was taken at time of order customer service is non existence still waiting for delivery will not use again

Despite the hot weather causing delays in delivery, which was beyond anyone’s control, they kept me informed and as soon as it was possible my delivery arrived as promised. The quality of the meat is superb. I worked in the meat trade for many years and I know quality when I find it. I have ordered again and will recommend to all my friends.

I previously left a rather harsh review, which I have now deleted after taking some time to reflect.

Things went wrong with my order and, at the time, I was understandably frustrated. However, having since spoken directly with James, I’ve come to understand some of the hurdles they have been dealing with, many of which were through no fault of their own.

Yes, my meat arrived later than expected, and yes, I reacted too quickly with some harsh comments. But I did receive my order, and I have to say the quality of the meat goes above and beyond. It was absolutely worth the wait.

Sometimes life doesn’t run smoothly, especially when you’re trying to keep a business going through difficult circumstances. I think it’s important to recognise that there are real people behind these businesses, and sometimes they deserve a little understanding and patience.

So, having spoken to James and understood more of what has been happening, I’m happy to give credit where it’s due. I will definitely order again, and I’d encourage people to bear with these guys and give them a chance. ❤️

This is the second time that an order hasn't arrived, the first time was back in February where over £87 ordered and still not resolved or refunded. I am hoping that this one will be resolved shortly or my next option would be legal.

I’ve ordered from Stilton Butchers a number of times now, and once again they’ve been outstanding.

I accidentally misunderstood the delivery date and was expecting my order to arrive by Wednesday in time for our family BBQ that weekend, when it was actually scheduled for the following Wednesday. I contacted their customer service team, and they couldn’t have been more helpful. They quickly arranged for my order to be delivered on Saturday morning, which meant our BBQ could go ahead as planned. That level of customer service is hard to find these days and was genuinely appreciated.

As for the food, the quality was exceptional as always. The Tomahawk steaks were the star of the BBQ and had everyone talking. I honestly don’t know how Stilton Butchers manage to source meat of this quality at such competitive prices, but the value for money is incredible.

If you’re looking for top-quality meat backed up by fantastic customer service, I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Stilton Butchers. They continue to exceed my expectations.

I believe in giving everyone the benefit of the doubt. Yes Stilton Butchers had issues, but I’m delighted to say they are back on track and delivering quality meats at affordable choices. My order has turned up on time as promised and the meat is superb. Well done Stilton Butchers, the phoenix has risen from the ashes and long may it continue. 👏

Companies House show them as being in the process of being struck off and wound up. I would not place an order with them again

I place an order and given a date to select for delivery. This date passed and I tried to contact them. The phone line didn’t exist, so I emailed them. Only to be told the order was delayed due to a change in the website and was given a date when this order would be processed and delivered. But no, no confirmation of delivery, no communication as to why. So I messaged via WhatsApp, messenger and email, they fix give me a new telephone number all I got was an answering machine, so I left a message. Nothing!!! I then got a message saying I will call you shortly, oh dear! Again nothing. So I think the moral of this story is don’t buy from this bunch of cowboys. Don’t believe anything they say, go to your local butchers!!!!

I have ordered from this company previously and always been happy with the meat supplied. HOWEVER now there are constant delays and empty promises and I have to fight to get my money back through the bank. They dispute the refunds and do everything they can not to refund monies paid. No answer on the phone, no replies to emails. Charlatans taking money under false pretences and sending 2 or 3 'special offer' emails daily. Stay clear if you want to keep your money and want good customer service. This is not provided here.

Very good meat, absolutely fantastic Tomahawks, and lamb shanks. Will definitely order again from James, fantastic service, personal delivery. you won’t go wrong with Stilton Butchers at very reasonable prices. Andy

Ordered the gorgeous Chateaubriand x 3, sausage, gammon, and boneless lamb leg. The order was delayed, but I was told about the delays with the hot weather and other things. I didn't mind waiting. It did arrive all perfect, and everything was lovely and fresh.

I would give them a huge minus if I could. I made an order on 3rd February 2026. It never arrived. A whole series of lies, broken promises and angst followed. Messages remained unanswered even though I used multiple platforms.
They have no pride in what they do, or more accurately do not do. They have no customer focus. No communication. And are just awful to deal with. Not once have they expressed any regrets for their shoddy, dishonest and shameful service.
A pity as their meat is very good. I will sadly not be using them again.
