Super cute vibes love the aestetic. Amazing presentation and banging food

We arrived at 7:30.but was told the table wasn’t ready. Would you like to get a drink at the bar? It was four deep at the bar and took ages to get served. when we were eventually seated, it took ages for anyone to take our drinks order. Eventually the drinks came. The staff didn’t seem to know who had ordered what and on one occasion a colleague who does not drink alcohol was given an alcoholic drink. It was also a long time before they took the order for food, and then when the food came again, the staff hadn’t got a clue who had ordered what and what they were serving up. some people had ordered Salt-N-Pepa fries but were given ordinary ones because the staff didn’t know what they were serving.The food was not particularly good and the portions were not very big with respect to how much they were charging. They brought out the birthday cake for my granddaughter, and we were told we hadn’t got time to cut it up and eat it because the two hours at the table was up. The cocktails are ridiculously priced all the other drinks are overpriced all in all not a venue. I would even think about going to again very very disappointed.

If you order a bottle of wine and you don’t finish it you cannot take it home. They didn’t tell us this when we ordered the bottle of wine. We asked for table wine but it was priced at £25!!!! I guess we should have declined but we we’re celebrating my wife’s birthday.
Food was fine but a little on the expensive side for what it was. The menu wasn’t vast for choices but it’s a typical bar food menu. Would I return? Probably not.

The food and service was excellent everyone was very kind I would definitely go back again .

Took my daughter for cocktails and late lunch late April at the Greek Street venue. It was extremely noisy and we couldn’t really speak to each other without shouting. The cocktails very very small for the price and especially the £11 Pornstar Martinis. We were not told about the optional service charge and we’re charged for this on the bill. If you want a very noisy, poor value for money experience then fine but it wasn’t as good as previously experienced.

Visiting Canary Wharf for work drinks. Not great value for money but good customer service

Myself and a few friends decided to meet up for a Christmas treat (brunch).
Was a very special treat as we're all in a situation were that day to day bills took all our money and special treats went out the window.
So we booked it and saved what pennies we had to meet up.
So imagine my horror when the bill came and there was a service charge of £8+ added and a charity donation (no idea which charity) without the choice of removal. When I booked there was nothing stated about this either.
Now we'll all had £30 and was going to tip the girl with the £6 pound which was fair in my opinion as one of the girls was unable to have her choice of drink and one of my drinks came without the show.
So imagine the embarrassment as no one apart from one girl had brought bank card. So luckily she had a few quid and was able to pay part of it on her card.
Very upsetting that this happened and it actually ruined what should have been a very happy occasion as I had not seen them all year.

Loved the magic of the cocktails and to be fair they are the same price as other cocktail bars but better
Staff …. Not a bloody clue I handed him a gift card he replied what am I suppose to do with that 🤦‍♀️
They give you 90mins only which IS NOT enough time to eat
We had a starter , main and x3 cocktails there was no time left for us to had dessert and were told our time was up!!
You need to up it to a 2 hour slot at the very minimum ,
We wound have stayed the night if we had a table so took our business to Mr Fogg for the rest of the evening
Food was ok more choice needed

Went to the Canary Wharf one. The attitude of all the staff was terrible. Just wanted to chat among themselves. You had to keep trying to get their attention to order anything. No interaction at all. It was clear service is included in the bill as they just couldn’t be bothered. Over priced, food poor, service shocking.

Absolutely first class service and food! We visited The Alchemist as a family during a weekend trip to Nottingham. Great atmosphere, friendly staff.

Showed up at 9:16pm and were told that the table reserved for 9pm was no longer available (after 15 minutes). There were plenty of tables available so asked to see if a manager can help. We're then told that companions under 18 couldn't join us because it was after 8pm. The reservation confirmation stated that kids are not allowed at the bar at night but can be accompanied by adults at the restaurant, which is what we ordered. The hostess was not nice so we left... There are plenty of places with nicer staff.

Overpriced smoky cocktails which taste like trash. Most of the staff are rude and seem like they don’t like their job, especially the 2 white bartenders I really didn’t like, they seemed dodgy. I went there with a couple of friends last week, it was such a bad experience I wouldn’t ever recommend it, you can get much better food and drinks at other normal priced places instead of this hellhole.

Spent a very disappointed Birthday here. Don’t bother.

Amazing service drinks and food are fantastic

Service and staff were brilliant. Kat and Cal were very attentive and polite, one of them was in training but still provided excellent customer service. The theatrical drinks were okay, was expecting a bit more for the price but was very good nonetheless. Would recommend!

Overpriced smoky cocktails that taste awful, bad experience the waiter who served us had awful body odour and they decided to put a service charge on the bill of £15 …….. which we asked to be removed. Definitely won’t return not a good experience for a Edinburgh city restaurant which cost £170 for 4 people food was ok

Alchemist Nottingham - brilliant staff, great food and great drinks! Even the mocktails were special. Reasonably priced considering the quality and theatrics, I’ll certainly be back 😊. Perfect for special occasion, thank you!!!

Visited the Edinburgh bar recently and absolutely loved it. If you prefer having a few good quality drinks with some theatrical presentations then this is for you. It’s not somewhere to go if you’re looking to get drunk as quickly and as cheaply as possible. They were out of quite a few cocktails on the day we went but it didn’t dampen the mood, there’s a massive selection available. Will be back!

Visited The Alchemist bar in Newcastle on Saturday and it was amazing! Great service from our waiter Kenny, was so friendly and explained what we had to do with each cocktail. Cocktails are amazing and food was great, will definitely be going there again!
