TM Hughes & Son work very quickly and professionally, all the work is completed with almost no need to tidy up afterward. They installed a new boiler and pipes for us. Very good at responding to e-mails and queries. We definitely recommend their service.

I have recently used TM Hughes Electrical Services to replace 24 spot lights and a new consumer unit in my property. Andy has been accommodating and professional. The work carried out was first class and Andy left my house clean and tidy. I would highly recommend this company.

We moved into a property with an old boiler and within seven months it decided to intermittently stop producing hot water, giving us cold showers 😩. We called Terry at T M Hughes who sent Dylan Kelly out to investigate the problem. He diagnosed the issue and recommended us having a new Glow-worm boiler as the boiler parts were probably redundant.

We were given a date but Dylan managed to fit us into his schedule earlier, to our delight! He arrived early in the morning with the new boiler, worked really hard in our small, very hot bedroom and made an excellent job of fitting our new boiler. And what a delight it is to have a shower at the temperature that we choose with no cut offs on hot water.

We couldn’t recommend Dylan any higher - he is a really nice, hard working young man with a great work ethic. He left our home spotless with a lovely new, working boiler. Terry, the Governor, was really helpful from the start and registered the new boiler for us, sending all the relevant Gas-safe and guarantee paperwork on after the job. In our opinion a really great business.

New boiler installation and conversion of old cupboard and water tank cupboard into an en-suite. Superb from start to finish outlining exactly how they would do the job, found solutions to ensure that intricate challenges with pipes didn’t impact the aesthetics. Terry is heavily involved and very engaging, but the star of the show was Mick who is a master craftsmen of the highest standard. Absolutely delighted with the outcome of this small but very challenging project, and great value with a clear outline of and precise commitment to the costs. Highly recommended.

We had Dylan Kelly attend today as regards boiler not firing up and emitting error code F83. Dylan Kelly was quick to find the problem. He was very efficient and extremely professional in his work. Any questions I asked him about what he was doing was explained very clearly and left me knowing that he was a professional in his trade. I would recommend him to anyone that had problems with their heating. If I needed a person to attend to another heating problem that occurs I would most certainly ask for Dylan without a doubt.

Punctual, reliable and knowledgeable

We had several leaks in our house and after looking through Check a trade and Trusted trader sites, we decided to contact them. Pawel who came was knowladgable and practical. He found out the causes and came back to fix the issues at a late date. Managed to sort out all with attention to detail. We will be very happy to recommend them to anyone needing plumbers.

Can’t recommend Terry & his team more highly. Had them out for a service and after them reviewing the current situation we needed to replace the boiler - they gave me a quote promptly and were back in just over a week to do the work. They’re prompt, professional and friendly; and I intend to continue using them in the future.

Terry Hughes helped us with a replacement boiler, replacement unvented hot water system including removal of loft tanks, and replacement radiator valves on 15 radiators, installation of Hive system - just generally overhauling the heating and hot water system if a large old house. This was a relatively large project that proceeded with no issues at all, Terry P did the work very competently and planned time effectively so he could check everything was working well together. It has made a great difference to have a quiet and well running heating and hot water system - many thanks.

I have used TM Hughes and Son on three separate occasions, the latest being this last weekend, and have been mightily impressed with their service each time.
No job appears too small, they have on different visits, repaired a minor water leak and have fitted new kitchen taps but also managed to clear a major blockage in the drainage system from my kitchen sink which was a huge issue for us and took them the best part of a day.
On each occasion they have been professional and efficient as well as friendly and respectful of the property.
They are now the company i will go to for any future plumbing or boiler issues I may have and will recommend to friends and family without hesitation.

Terry and his team did a fantastic job with my mother’s house in Maldon. I had the job of selling the property, but the boiler and much of the pipework had been left in a dangerous condition. With a potential sale of the property in the offing, I needed remedial work done QUICKLY, and was lucky to land on the TM Hughes & Son website. Terry provided me with very detailed inspection reports, complete with photos and even video of what work needed doing. He then proceeded to get the job done at breakneck speed.
