Edit 26/03/2026 Trustpilot removed Unicorn Global Furniture answer for my review because they used my personal details and I made a report to ICO about using my details publicly!
1) If I could, I wouldn't have pressed any stars.
On February 18th, we bought a sofa that was supposed to be delivered by February 25th. The courier company sent me an order tracking number, but I noticed it didn't match my address (completely different parts of the country). I wrote to the courier company, and they said Unicorn Global had changed address for this order. I sent several emails to Unicorn Global and opened a PayPal case, but they've remained silent, and I can't get my money back.

It's unbelievable what I just learned from the courier company!
The sofa was delivered to a different address under my order number at no additional cost (only one payment), and the company sent me a receipt under the same number, asking me to cover the costs!
I'll consider my next steps.

Two delays to delivery, no refund.
**update, company finally refunded me 6th Feb
I have had several phone calls and and email asking me to change my review. Am extra star for actually refunding, however the harassment to change my review, which at the time of posting reflected my genuine experience, is awful. Please note, continued calls to ask me to change my review WILL result in action for harassment**
Purchased a sofa bed on Jan 13th
18th Jan I was told that unfortunately, the bed wasn't in stock. I accepted a delivery day, in return for a £30 refund (original purchase was 699.99). Was told delivery would be week commencing Feb 2nd.
Feb 2nd, I hadn't had an update. Attempted to contact company. Was told later that afternoon, there's been a further delay and delivery would be 12th/13th Feb. I asked for a refund.
Was told Monday 2nd Feb that my order had been refunded. Have had no official refund confirmation. Was told it would be back with me in 1-3 business days. That time has elapsed, and still no refund. Have had to initiate a chargeback via my bank.

For transparency, here is the verified timeline:
2 February: Customer requested a full refund
3–4 February: The refund was successfully processed and debited from our merchant account
Acquirer Reference Number (ARN): 74208476036100018317886
An ARN is issued only once funds have left the merchant’s account and entered the banking network. From that point onward, the posting time is controlled by the customer’s bank, not the retailer.
This was explained to the customer multiple times, including by phone, and documentary proof of the refund leaving our account was provided.
To be absolutely clear:
The refund was issued
The funds left our account
Any subsequent delay is due to bank processing timelines
The customer was advised to contact their bank using the ARN to trace the funds
The statement “no refund” is therefore factually incorrect.
We also contacted the customer by phone on Monday 09/02, at which point the customer confirmed receipt of the refund in full and indicated that the review would be updated. As of today, this has not been done.
We are posting this response to ensure the public record is accurate and to prevent misinformation. We acknowledge the delivery delays and resolved the matter by issuing a full refund. We remain available to assist the customer or their bank with tracing the transaction using the ARN above.

Unscrupulous Traders
Received a sofa with a control unit that buzzed constantly and spoke in a chinese language. Very inferior quality.
Sofa was £999 and was also extremely uncomfortable and barely usable.
Returned the sofa, only received £719.99 refund, they have added a £100 restock fee. Beware, these are unscrupulous traders that charge to return an item.
I am currently filing a claim via my credit card company to get my money back.

We strongly disagree with this false and misleading review and must correct several inaccuracies.
This order was not returned due to a proven fault. It was processed and accepted by the customer as a change-of-mind return, which is materially different under UK consumer law.
Facts of the return:
The sofa bed (a motorised item weighing over 140kg, delivered in two parcels) was delivered free of charge.
The customer expressly agreed in writing to a £180 return transport cost prior to collection.
Upon return, the item was received in a damaged and diminished condition, including:
damaged packaging,
visible marks to the upholstery,
extensive use
handling wear beyond basic inspection.
As a result, the product could not be resold as new, leading to a loss in value.
Under Regulation 34(9) of the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, a trader is legally entitled to make a deduction for diminished value where goods have been handled beyond what is necessary to inspect them. This is standard and lawful, particularly for large motorised furniture.
The restocking/handling deduction applied was reasonable and proportionate, and less than the actual loss incurred. The refund issued reflects this and was calculated strictly in line with our published return policy, which the customer accepted at checkout.
Regarding the product itself:
The sofa bed was supplied exactly as described.
No manufacturing defect was identified on inspection.

No request for repair, replacement, or technical support was made prior to return.
A sofa bed is not a trial or disposable item. Ordering, assembling, using, and returning heavy motorised furniture inevitably affects its resale value—this is precisely why the law allows deductions.
We categorically reject the suggestion that we are “unscrupulous traders.” We operate transparently, in compliance with UK consumer law, and apply our policies consistently and fairly.
We ask that reviewers present accurate, non-misleading and complete information so as not to mislead the public.
