AVOID IF YOU DON’T WANT TO LOSE MONEY …Purchased sofa bed from these people and when it came we promptly set about putting it together. It soon became apparent that there was an issue so got chatting with a representative on a chat and did everything that he advised us to do, not once but THREE times and still the issue wasn’t resolved so he advised would arrange for another bar to be sent out at the correct size. Chased today Tuesday 19/08/2025 only to be told in a roundabout way that we were not putting the item together correctly. I have asked for my full payment back and Unicorn to come and collect the item but it appears this may not happen so We are now £549.00 out of pocket by very highly trained scammers. I have photos of how the sofa looks once it’s been attempted three times to put the base together and it is totally unsafe for anyone to sleep on, looks like unable to upload the pictures so will try to review on Google as well.
In reply to the answer from Unicorn global I want to thank them as they've now put into writing the appalling customer service concerning the issue with the item we ordered. We are not stupid, or ineffective at putting together furniture as Unicorn have now made us out to be, there was an issue with the arm that was sent out with the sofa bed in that the weld across the fitting part of the arm was out by 2cm this making it push the arm of the sofa bed out of alignment so when the bed section came out it was not even sitting the rest arm to ensure that the bed was safe to sleep on. Let's hope Unicorn return the £549 that it cost me and in future don't make out that their customers are too stupid to put together their furniture. As an ex customer services manager, that is something you never do with customers even if you think it as the company representative. The fact that this whole debacle made me stressed and brought on a migraine that I haven't suffered in years is a testament to how both my husband and I were made to feel. If you don't want to be made to feel stupid and inept because you've had the audacity say that Unicorn appear to have an issue with their product that you have received then avoid this company. Unicorn need to have the realisation that no matter how big or small the company is, their workers are only human and errors can be made. If Unicorn had done this in the first place then maybe, just maybe, this review would have read differently.

You purchased one of our best-selling sofa beds — a model we sell hundreds of every single month with excellent customer feedback. You claimed there was a “manufacturing issue,” but after your return, we fully assembled and inspected the sofa bed ourselves and confirmed that:
There is no manufacturing defect.
The sofa bed fits together exactly as designed.
The issues you faced were due to incorrect assembly, as you did not follow the provided manual or step-by-step video guide.
Despite this, we spent significant time assisting you, offering solutions, video instructions, and even replacement options. Every single offer of support was refused.
Instead, you rushed here to label us “scammers” and threatened to post the same on Google — all while we had already arranged a free collection and started processing your refund in line with our clearly stated return policy.
Furniture is not clothing — assembling it requires care, or at least seeking help if unsure. Unfortunately, you refused every attempt to assist you and went straight to leaving damaging claims online.

Our products are quality-checked, and our returns process is fair and transparent.
We stand by our customers, but we also stand by the truth.

Elephant style king size sofa bed.
Elephant sofa bed was delivered 3 hours late from initial time given.
Once unboxed it was clear that parts of the sofa were dusty and we had to clean it all.
There were no instructions available after asking on the chat facility .Told that no tools were required,but storage drawers had to be screwed to metal frame.
Feather pillows inside headrests were not stitched properly so feathers came out .The covers to these internal pillows were also very dirty.
After assembling,the biggest disappointment was the head rest pillows do not meet together so there is an unsightly gap.
The sofa is also quite uncomfortable.
On the plus side,when converted to a bed it is comfortable and spacious.
Overall,wish we had not purchased and the refund policy is clearly made out to be complicated and deter any returns as you were responsible for all return costs and a 10% restocking fee.
I realise a sofa bed is a compromise so will never be a perfect bed or perfect sofa.But stitching the headrest closer together,not sending out product dusty and putting a simple instruction video on YouTube would improve the purchasing process no end.

Avoid avoid avoid!!!! – Poor Service, No Delivery, and Incomplete Refund
I ordered a sofa bed from Unicorn Global Resources Ltd in March 2025 for £649.99.
After repeated delays and poor communication, I was offered £50 compensation for the inconvenience.
Weeks went by with no delivery and I had to chase constantly for updates. Eventually, my order was cancelled without warning after I mentioned I might need to contact my credit card company due to the lack of response.
To make matters worse, I was only refunded £599.99 instead of the full amount, as the £50 “compensation” was simply deducted from my refund. The company then insisted I could only repurchase via bank transfer, removing my consumer protections.
Extremely disappointing experience—poor customer service, no delivery, and out of pocket. Trading standards have been informed.
Update: their response below just shows they don’t even understand what compensation is! I stand 100% by my original review. AVOID!!

Your order was fully refunded in two parts:
A £50 goodwill compensation was processed back to your card on 3rd May 2025 with Acquirer Reference Number (ARN): 74208475124100025533538.
The remaining balance of £599.99 was refunded on 27th May 2025.
This totals £649.99, the exact amount you paid, meaning you have now been completely reimbursed.
Due to a series of messages and behaviour that raised significant red flags, including threats to open a credit card dispute while the order was being processed. Such threats, raise concerns around Section 75 misuse, a form of consumer fraud that we take seriously. Following our internal risk analysis at the point of dispatch, and in line with our fraud prevention policies, we proactively issued a full refund and cancelled the transaction. This was done in accordance with our fraud prevention and consumer protection policies, which are in place to protect both parties.
While you are within your rights to contact relevant authorities, (To which we are able to provide you more contacts to other authorities where you can report this situation) we must also exercise our right to protect our business against potential fraud, misuse or misrepresentation. Your claim that we failed to refund the full amount is inaccurate and demonstrably false, and we respectfully request that you correct or remove your review accordingly.
We welcome honest feedback and are always working to improve, but we cannot allow misleading or damaging claims to go unaddressed. All relevant documentation regarding your refund has been recorded.
