Pretending to be an Australian Company established in Melbourne in 2009 with a fake address in Boronia, Victoria.

I wish I read the reviews before buying products from velvet lane boutique. I bought cashmere products as stated on their website and paid the cost for what should be cashmere. I received the items and it looks nothing like the products on the website. No tags that state size, materials or laundering instructions. Looks like cheap synthetic material. For a refund, I have to pay shipping costs via tracked shipping to China for 50GBP pounds. Feeling deceived and very unhappy.

In response to your reply. You do not make things right. I have been emailing several times about the products not being as stated and that I require a full refund. And your bots just keep spewing out the same line of paying 50 pounds and using tracked shipping to return the items to some fake address in China.

To prospective buyers. Beware of this website. If you are affected, let Consumer Affairs and Spam Watch know about this fraudulent company.

Low quality this is a SCAM you can buy the same items on temu for $10 and they charge u $65

absolute rip off. Product was nothing like advertised. I emailed I wanted to return. Told it would cost 50 british pounds ($100 Au) to return. The item cost $60 Aus, advertised as reduced from $99, I would not pay $20. Quite a 30 day return guarantee.

Velvet Lanes response below is more of their scam. It was written after I had contacted them four times about the shoddy product not at all as advertised. Each time I received an email about how much they cared, all they offered to do was give me a % off my next purchase, even though I had said repeatedly I would not be buying again.

I recently purchased a shirt from this website. It was advertised as “linen”, the shirt I received has a tag on it saying 100% polyester. Now they are saying I can return it but I have to pay to have it shipped back to China, when they make out their store is in Australia. The company is a complete scam, avoid at all cost.

I had a really disappointing experience with Velvet Lane Boutique. I placed an order and tried to cancel it well within their 24-hour cancellation policy, but they refused to process a refund. They claimed the order had already been “processed,” even though the tracking on their own website showed it wasn’t processed until a day or two later.

I even sent them screenshots from their own website showing this, but they completely ignored the evidence and still refused to provide any kind of refund. It feels very misleading to advertise a 24-hour cancellation policy if they don’t actually honor it.

I reached out politely and tried to resolve it, but their lack of accountability and customer support was really disappointing. I won’t be ordering from Velvet Lane Boutique again and recommend others be cautious before purchasing.

What they sent was nothing like I ordered.
When I asked for returns address they tried to instead offer to keep the item I didn’t order and offer a 20% discount on my next order…(which was apparently the already going deal on the web page).
I suspect they provide a fake address that never arrives back to them.
I emailed them the postal receipt and tracking number and they refused to refund me till the item arrived.
DONT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY HERE!

Scam. Item came with tags cut out, nothing like what was pictured. Item was meant to be genuine leather and cost me $150. It's cheap nasty plastic, you couldn't pay me $150 to wear it. I paid $50 for tracked return to China, it's been sitting in customs for over 2 months with no more updates. This business should be removed from AU web!!

Terrible quality, advertised as leather and not leather … false advertising and probably illegal…

Absolutely dreadful customer service. Ordered size 7 shoes. Received size 9 shoes. Velvet Lane expect me to pay for return postage for their warehouse/logistics error.!!! Yes, even though their confirmation of my order clearly reflects size 7, as ordered by me and the photos they asked me to send to their customer support, clearly display a size 9 shoes - and we are taking about a pair of shoes that cost me $99 - their customer service team said I could keep the shoes and they’d give me a 20% discount off my next order - or elect to pay for the return cost to China at $50…. Yes their mistake and they are telling me to refer to their returns/refund policy……for their internal error !!!! unbelievable DO NOT purchase anything from Velvet Lane.

Here to share the same reviews as mentioned by so many ppl here. I bought what I thought were a genuine pair of Birkenstock Arizona's. The images are CLEARLY the genuine article that have been photoshopped to remove Birk branding. The name Birkenstock disappeared from the invoice and it became "Arizona style". The website has you believe it's a local store selling quality goods, but it's a scam. The quality of what arrived is laughable for the price paid. They have offered a refund, but the catch is that I have to send the item back to China at my own expense to an address I cannot seem to verify. When I directly googled the address, it revealed several online "boutique" stores this company is running, selling similarly scammy items.

Do not buy from this company. It is a scam. They are located in China NOT in Australia, even though their website leads you to believe they are in Australia. I paid $120 for two pairs of shoes and the quality of the shoes are cheap and inferior. You may as well buy from Temu or Shein for a quarter of the price.

I had the exact same experience as someone else who ordered the 'Zara' suit. It's awful - terrible fabric - no style. Returning it is a nightmare - unlike many other overseas sites - forms and expensive - I have learned my lesson - never again.

Sadly, got ripped off. Ordered 2 weeks ago adn it stataed zara suit and 2nd item was a cosy comfy track set. well i received sone horrid thin abric unlabelled and nothing to its description and terribly oversixed. I would not even wear it if i had no clothes left. have sent for s retun label and refund. Lets see. they charges me over $`100 when i gt great quality from Temu. Be warned

This company is a complete fraud - stay away - thought I was purchasing two pairs of Birkenstock sandles which they conveniently omitted Birkenstock at the checkout and just stated "Arizona Style" so easy trap to fall in to and they weren't cheap at $100 a pair. Very dodgy business.

This company advertises as a Melbourne company but all stock is made and held overseas. Shipping is advertised as 6-9 days but upon ordering an email is received stating 10-12 business days. Cancellation policy on the site is 24hrs but if you try and cancel within the timeframe (I emailed immediately) then the response is that they have already processed and fulfilled therefore they cannot cancel.

Absolutely scam! Don’t buy from them!
Low quality products from China! Nothing like the picture and you can not have a refund unless you send it back to China!
