Please be careful if you’re dealing with Veritas Solicitors.

I asked them for my own case file—something I'm legally entitled to under data protection law—and instead of just giving it to me, they tried to shut me down. They called my request “manifestly unfounded” (basically accusing me of wasting their time) and said it was “too complex.” All complete nonsense.

They gave no proof, no reason, just excuses. Why? Because they know what’s in that file—and they don’t want me to see it. It’s clear they’re using this time to cover themselves and do damage control. But that’s not just dishonest—it’s a violation of my rights.

They even replied to another review saying I didn’t provide any evidence. But how can I, when they’re the ones keeping the evidence from me? I asked for my own documents, and they’re the ones refusing to hand them over. It’s like being told you can't prove your story because the person you’re up against is hiding the proof.

They tried to silence me and delay everything, hoping I’d give up. But I didn’t. And you shouldn’t either.

I’ve now reported them to the ICO (Information Commissioner Office) (This regulation board deals with organisation that don't comply with Data Protection regulations) and will be going to the Legal Ombudsman and the Solicitors Regulation Authority next. If more people speak up, they will be investigated.

This is how firms like this operate—they take advantage of people who don’t know their rights, especially those who are vulnerable or just trying to get help.

Don’t let them get away with it.

Ask questions.
Stand your ground.
File your complaints.
They think they can get away with this. Let’s prove them wrong.

I would recommend this company to anyone who is struggling with council and apartment issues. I’m very happy with the help they provided in helping me the take the case forward. Very efficient and effective. Most importantly professional and attentive.

Spent 18 months doing nothing but change case handlers then in oct 2024 wherevwa8ting for a court date, in November where waiting on a settlement offer from the landlord then in January 2025 discontinued action. So somehow it went from definitely an easy win to cant be done

Al lVeritas did was lie and waste my time , it's taken 3 months 2 emails ( never replied to) and 5 calls to get a copy of the paperwork which is just the surveyors report. Nothing from them to the landlord nothing from the landlord to them

Spent an hoiur on hold to achieve nothing on Friday 28th, spent another 20 mins on hold today to get a sms saying they are short of staff because of EID and to email the case handler who hasn’t responded to any email so far

Yes it was discontinued due to low prospects what I don't see is how it went from easy win to waiting forca court date to waiting for a settlement offercto low prospects when nothing has changed

I originally asked for the file in January . I rang in February twice and March 3 times

No you haven't supplied the file on the 28th March you sent another copy of the letter ceasing action due to low prospects.

Really good solicitors keep your updated with everything. Answer your queries very fast and I give a big thank you to Mr Rahman who was fighting my case he won and I managed to get my compensation and repairs done. I’m very happy thank you very much. I recommend these solicitors highly x

Stay well away from thess don't have a clue when it comes to communication replying back to emails and don't include everything in the statement had about 10 different advisors on my case not very good

After moving into my property, I was left with mould damp water coming through my walls condensation doctor told me I had mould poisoning which is really bad for any landlord to leave their tenant living in so I decided to turn for help. Wish I hadn’t turned to these people for help waited all of this time For nothing they think about their pockets before their clients!!!

I have been waiting for years for my claim to be settled made a claim for my loss of oven after it went completely mouldy on me and my landlord would not do anything about it, but these people asked me if I wish to make a claim for it and they have only gone off and taken money out of that so I basically lose out on that part as well what a complete joke Not once they said to me from day one, they will take money out of my claim for my oven they are sneaky and liars. Stay away from them.
