I've been a Virmach customer for about 3 years now. It has been a rather smooth sail until recently; my VPS had an unexpected shutdown, after which it never connected back to the network

I opened a support ticket a week ago and still haven't gotten any response whatsoever.

Even worse: Calling the phone number that appears on their website says "the service is no longer available".

I fear they may be going out of business. Either way, I'll have to find a different hosting solution

I have been a Virmach customer on and off for years.

Last Sunday 31 July around midnight, things fell apart in a big way.

My server went offline. I did not know why. I tried to raise a ticket, no response.

It came back online mid-day Wednesday, but it has been broken and I cant log into my server anymore. I still dont know why it went offline but from reading their un-updated bulletin on the website, if I had to guess, it seemed like they were doing some kind of migration to new hardware. But here's the thing, I jsut dont know. They did not notify me this was going to happen in advance, no email comms whatsoever.

Let that sink in. They're an IT company. Contacting customers before a planned outage is a basic requirement. So my server was offline for 2 and a half days, I lost work as I didnt have the opportunity to do a save and do a graceful shutdown.

Someone should be fired over this.

Raising tickets, no one bothered to reply and as of today, 8th august still no response. I cant even log back into my server, so you've screwed it up somehow during the 'move' (If indeed that is what happened!)

SO, Virmach, i'd like a refund please of my last monthly fee I paid. The server has been shutdown and I've gone to another provider, OVH, and I recommend anyone reading this to do the same.

The final last straw is this. On the virmach.com website there is an email address shown for raising support tickets. So I emailed this, and all I got was an automated response email saying using the online ticket system - errr, that's what I have been using and you havent freaking replied! why on earth are you even showing that email address on your homepage is no one is allowed to send any queries to it?!

TLDR, Virmach have really messed up. Go elsewhere if you want a good service with no random uncontrolled shutdown of servers, and basic comms. I suggest Virmach go read ITIL for dummies... morons.

I am very disappointed wit your service. I have an active RDP i can't access and i have opened several tickets and no responses.

Really not recommend. They are migrating their services for half of a year and all this time, the services are inaccessible, up and down. Even worse, never response to ticket. No support at all.

They really don't respond to the tickets, I sent the tickets from 27 July. My problem is only windows password. I bought a windows vps but don't have any password login to windows, cpanel and VNC password doesn't make any sense. It's just a small problem that they can't solve. Imagine your server crashes, and you don't get support, that must be a terrible thing. Therefore I strongly advise you NOT to deposit, buy VPS or attempt to use this platform. It will make a big impact on your business.

I have been a customer with VirMach since 2017 and have never experienced any major problems. They always had reliable support and excellent services with impressive uptime. I have continued to use them as my provider for multiple smaller servers and larger bare-metal dedicated instances.

Unfortunately, this record has been severely damaged in the last 6 months. Support response times have simply become unacceptable, and paid priority support will also get you nowhere. I originally opened a critical support request (priority support) over 4 months ago, which I have yet still to receive a reply. In the end, I contacted the datacentre directly, who were able to fix the issue in a matter of 30 minutes.

However, since then there has been slew of further issues, including absurd amounts of downtime, data corruption (due to migrations) and multiple IP address changes. The last straw was the dedicated instances being migrated, with hours’ notice. In these situations, customers SHOULD be notified at least one month in advance. This has not given us the required time to retake inventory, perform data backups and migrate to another temporary host. Unfortunately, all controls for the dedicated instance are no longer available, which I assume is because of the migration. However, there is no information regarding why these controls are not available.

Communication and transparency with customers are both extremely valuable assets, but VirMach do not seem to consider them to be – the company severely lacks both. They have severely violated their own Service Level Agreements and it is only a matter of time before these issues are escalated to legal levels. I wholeheartedly recommend that you look elsewhere for hosting services, since VirMach seem uninterested in helping their current customer base.

I worked with virmach for more than year and rented VDS.
It was not cheap comparing others, not fast. Okay, i just used it because was lazy to change the server.
In one day server stopped working.
I created ticked and didn't get any answer more the 3 days (working days).
I lost my access to the server, lost my data, and have a risk to the safety of the data.

Service very bad. I've used Virmach for 3 to 4 years, but the last few months been nothing but problems. I have VPS/s setup in different locations and end up with major down time and network connections cutting and out.

Overall, I am phasing out all current services and wouldn't place any new orders with them.

Very good to use. I hope to continue to be available to support migrating machines in the future.

The use experience is ok, and the price is relatively reasonable.

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE AND I MEAN TERRIBLE customer support. We have been down for over 24 hours with no notice prior to them just shutting our server down for some "planned transfer" that we were not aware of. We have hundreds of users trying to connect to their software that is hosted on this server and it is not working. Tech support is an absolute JOKE! It is always like this with this company, we have used them for 5 years and every single time something happens with the server it takes them DAYS if not WEEKS to respond to us. I have no idea how they are still in business with this abysmal customer support! Once our server is up we will be getting our data off and going to a different company. This is completely unacceptable! I understand people just read a bad review and think oh it wont happen to me. Well guess what, I'm 100% sure it will. Everyone complains about their customers support so unless you're using this for some little company you have look elsewhere. I have worked with countless hosting solutions over the years and have never waited more than an hour for support on a critical issue.

Virmach turned in a scam.
They disappeared with all servers, they shut down any service and left all customers with nothing. Neither paid backup was recovered.
Don't buy any virmach service!!!

Edit: Virmach has made a sad attempt to get this review removed, I got an email on 2023 March 24th stating Virmach has asked me to provide more details on this review - if I don't it can be removed. I provided more information but even if I didn't, look around, there's plenty more 1 star reviews. Sadly there's some recent ones, people still fall for this.

I've been with Virmach since 2017 - For years they have provided a decent service and I've recommended them to everyone for smaller projects. I have (had) 7 servers with them - nothing too serious, just multiple small servers behind bigger projects: test servers, random servers I can share with other developers to work together on projects, etc.

Even with the constant IP changes and such I've stayed with them - I bought a server a month ago and to the best of my knowledge that server is still online, but it keeps shutting down while I'm not running anything serious on it. All of my other servers started rapidly shutting down the past 2 weeks, now I can't seem to access any of them. Years of data, backups and even some smaller projects were stored there - most of them lost, I still have to check my personal backups but I didn't really bother as everything has been fine for so long.

Not anymore - other reviews state the same, they disappeared, they still rake in money with "welcome bonuses", but I'm unsure if you'll ever get your server. Their phone is disconnected, live support is gone, tickets never receive an answer and all services are unreachable. I even made a priority ticket which they said costs $15 - still no response after 2 weeks. I didn't pay for it so I'm good, but I'm still getting invoices to pay for the same servers that I couldn't reach for weeks and months now.

At this point I'm stopping all payments to Virmach, I have to accept that I've lost countless data from the early years of my career and move on.

Do the same, good luck on another host!

They charged my paypal for my server that had been terminated. I tried contacting their support but no response at all. PAYPAL is even WORSE denying my dispute claims

Do not purchase from this company! First of all, there is virtually no customer support! At the time of this writing I have a ticket that is active and waiting. has been waiting for a response for over a month. I have services constantly down that I am paying for and that I cannot get customer service to help me with. If you do anything that is of any importance you could possibly lose it all. Or have all of your work shut completely down while you wait weeks if not months for customer service to respond to one question. They either need to hire more staff for customer service or shut down!

Do not buy any service from Virmach. The server has been offline for one week, and there is no support or replay on the ticket from the Virmach. You can see how many times the server is down in a month from this page
