Understaffed dealerships with the worst customer service we have ever experienced . Made to wait 6000 miles past service intervals due to being understaffed . Warrantees not worth the paper there written on

Vw customer service absolutely shocking ,
Very poor communication skills via chat, don’t waste your time ,
Tried get through on the phone and struggled to understand there language very poor English ,
So tried chat and wasted an hour of my life,
They struggle to understand basic questions

Been to vw van centre Manchester today to pick my van up excellent service as always and always looked after in nicest possible way and treated in a excellent manor been using vw van centre Manchester since 2004 and would not go anywhere else and all staff go above and beyond keep up the good work

The sliding doors on my brand Transporter have leaked in since day one of my ownership, nearly 5 months later I am still unable to use the vehicle.
Vertu VW Hereford cannot find the fault( that an dealer in Basingstoke has found) so they cannot not refund me after I rejected the vehicle and more worrying, they cannot not fix a problem that they can't find. So that's ok is it!, even though I have sent them video footage of the leaking before and after their inspection. The van REG: VN72 PAO is of no use to us as it stands.

Caddy in warranty, with coolant leak. Pressure tested, but beyond that zero willing to test further to find problem, incredibly poor communication.

Booked in for replacement brakes at group one VW Peterborough for a VW T6.1 was told on arrival that if it’s the front brakes that needs replacing they haven’t got any and has been on back order for the last 6 months, also asked them to check for a oil leak and left it with them for the day, 3 hours later I get a call to say that it’s the front brakes that need replacing and they haven’t got any but your ok to drive as it’s only 90% worn I asked about the oil leak and was told yes there is a leak and can be done on warranty but needs to be booked in and could not be fixed now joke! Just a word of advice to all you T6.1 van owners out there if you need front brake pads VW can’t get any and haven’t for the last 6 months and all the aftermarket one are out of stock so start looking now! Good luck

This place is an absolute nightmare they get your van in (under warranty) tell you about its faults then try to charge you ? BEWARE
they had my van after vw assist said it has a weight off the clutch flywheel then said we drove it round the block and there is no problem ? My god only if it was that easy to diagnosis a problem Who would need garages BEWARE
They also then charged me £175 and said we did not diagnosis this vw assist did if you do not pay you can not have your van back (what a con) BEWARE
They then had my van for so called oil leak and belive me there was not one I have prove.
They had it for 1 month in total and all they did was a oil sump gasket ? If needed and to change the rear door as its a bad part covered under warranty they then say we will not pay for the replacement of the security lock and the sign writing??? BEWARE what a company.
If you realy need to buy a large van do your self a favour buy the same size and 100% better and get the Mercedes sprinter.
I've always had the sprinter with no problems and like a fool changed to a low rate vw and then made the real mistake and used a back street garage like listers.
Do your self a favour BEWARE
I'm now taking vw to court to get my costs back

Avoid avoid avoid. Motus Stoke VW commercials = Awful service, use another garage if you can. Everything is too much trouble! Communication with customer is zero. Unwilling to help, its as if they don't want the work. I will never use here again.

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY THEY WILL COMPLETELY RIP YOU OFF!
I bought a van from this company last October, but the way I was sold to was classic bad sales.. my only fault is I bought it with my heart and not my head and possibly being a woman.
I called them for a quote on a van which was brand new. At the time I didn’t think I could afford it so didn’t go for it . A few weeks later the sales man called me with the colour I really wanted. Been blinded by this the sales man who did his work on me .
What he did was add all the add ons you can pay for separately but failed to tell me that . So he added on an extended 18month warranty , 3services 2 mots, roadside breakdown recovery protection care for inside and out side the van NOT ONCE DID HE SAY THIS WAS ADD ONS ,which you didn’t have to have WHAT HE DID WAS SAY IT WAS YOU GET THIS INCLUDED!
I only found the truth about this a few days ago when I called about a problem I had with the van and I’m disgusted at what he did !
WARRANTY A WASTE OF MONEY.
So a light came on which told me the DPF was faulty.
No one could tell me if this was included in the warranty, what they said was I had to pay £156 for a diagnostic check then it would go through to the warranty team who would tell you if it was a warranty issue or not ! This would be fare enough if it was something I had done like smash a light etc . But no this is a fault with the van.
What is the point of a warranty you never even asked for if you have to pay for a repair upfront.COWBOYS .
I went to a what I thought was a good VW dealer but ended up worse off .
Oh and the new van he quoted me actually worked out £500 less than the van he sold me which was 4 years old with 37,000 miles on the clock

Update 28/10/22 after taking the van to another reputable garage I found out it was not the DPF which was faulty which the service guy had told me when I told him what light was on the dash board but the nox sensor. I called in Inchape back and was told the same thing I’d have to pay £156 to do the diagnostic!! So the next day I called again and told them I would be taking legal action .. the van is now booked in on Tuesday so I will update after Tuesday

Hello I brought my used VW caddy from motus commercial Derby. I am a small limited company using the van daily for my business. Over the first few days I noticed that it was difficult to change gears from 1st to 2nd. I contacted the garage to let them know but no one got back to me. I remember what the sales guy said Tom . At motus if you have a problem with your van. We'll give you a çourtesy van and fix it as you have a 3 year warranty. I was hoping it would get better over time but not. I contacted the garage again and booked it in for 3 days to do a service and to look at the gears as still stiff. They said that they had done some ergent repairs and it was OK now. But over time it got worse jumping out of gears. I then contacted the VWFS the finance company. And tried to reject the VW caddy on the 26th of march but they told me that I was not covered by the consumer credit act as I was a limited company. For faulty goods And services. I then asked the financial ombudsman to help. but they told me that the HP contact was unfortunately not regulated so they could not help. So please don't buy a vehicle from all of the above as you won't have a leg to stand on or a vehicle to drive. As big business wins over small business. Terrible service by a very keen dealership, spent over 45k with them to have promises made and not delivered.

I'd reconsider dealing with this dealership as the management do not take ownership of what they promise at the time of purchase.

Such a shame as we required 2 more vehicles the same.

I would strongly suggest purchasing elsewhere

VW Transporter Kombi ordered on 5th February 2021 from VW Cardiff. The estimated delivery date on the order was 30th June 2021. I am still waiting! Not happy!!!

In less than two years, I have asked VW roadside assistants for help 5 times, and each time I have received enthusiastic help from the customer service staff and dispatched technicians to arrive at the scene to help solve the problem in time. Their after-sales service is trustworthy and highly recommended.

I am so NOT surprised that their rating here is so low. I just wish I'd taken a look before jumping into bed with these charlatans. So many problems dealing with them that I can't be bothered to list them but I'll leave this as a prime example of how they do business;

Heading into the last week of our lease we wanted to know what we needed to do to make our final balloon payment? Not how we could delay it, how we could make it? We COULD NOT get in contact with VW Finance. We called several times and sat on hold for over half an hour before giving up. The finance company we were dealing with couldn't get through to them to find out how to transfer funds. We got through to a representative twice, just for the line to go dead before they could answer any questions, AND NOBODY CALLED BACK despite them checking all of our contact details before entering into conversation. We emailed requesting a phone call to clear up how we should go about making this final payment.

Finally, on the morning our lease expired, without warning, notification, or acknowledgment of payment, £12,500 was simply TAKEN from my wife's account. The only reason we knew a payment had been taken was because my wife went £12,500 OVERDRAWN and received a notification to make funds available from her bank. Nothing from VW, not so much as a thanks for paying. We had to borrow money from friends and family to ensure we didn't get into trouble with the bank.

To this day, over 3 weeks on, we STILL have had no acknowledgement of this payment and zero contact from VW.

I have now lodged a complaint with VW Finance, but needless to say, 3 weeks on, they haven't gotten back to me. Convenient.

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH VW FINANCE.

Took my Crafter in for a full service and cambelt replacement. Told them that my handbrake wasn’t working dry well and that I had a belt squeaking. They told me handbrake was fine and when I collected my van the mechanic told me to spray some wd40 on the belt as they had not fixed the noise issue. Not really what you want when you’ve paid them a lot of money for the service. Shortly after my van failed mot due to a faulty handbrake even though Exeter van centre insisted it was fine. Terrible service and expensive waste of money!

Bought new transporter t6.1 highline 150 1 year ago. Diesel mixing with oil and numbers other issues. 21 times to the garage. Don't buy 1. No help from them. Stay clear

Absolutely disgusted with this company, selling parts not fit for purpose (CV Joint) then expecting you to wait for the new one with no lead time, because they’ve changed the part for another that isn’t defective, this company know what they are doing, don’t care if your stuck with a vehicle off the road absolute criminals go buy a Mercedes or Peugeot van, crafters are for those who want to keep repairing their vehicle, this van has had nearly everything but the engine replaced under warranty, I’m sure that says enough, or the engine will be next.

I have a problem with a VW Transporter elec van that I have had for 6 months that being instead of achieving 80 miles on a full charge it gets approximately 40 !!! After a visit to VW Van centre at Newcastle I was told it was my driving and not to use the heating or heated windscreen !!! Absolute garbage!!

Don't trust these people, Amarok taken in for the same fault months apart and charged for a DPS on both occasions. After complaining they made up that it was driven for 1500 miles with an engine managment light on. Going to sell vehicle so I never have to deal with these people again.
