This is the 3rd time in two months I've had to contact them to make a simple change to a policy.

each time I've been on hold for 30 mins or more before even speaking to someone.It's shocking. I run a business with 70 staff and this is my valuable time. Still waiting.....

Was charged nearly £100 3 weeks after cancelling to cancel my provisional license insurance once I passed even though the policy would have been invalid anyway.

I had a couple of questions about the new policy so called. After a short ‘press 1 for x, 2 for y’, etc the call was immediately answered. I spoke with a staff member, who tried to help but soon realised I needed customer service. They put me through and again my call was immediately answered. The agent was able to help. She spent time to make sure she understood my issues and was able to advise and help. Refreshingly efficient.

Shazia was very polite and professional in how she welcomed me as a customer and how she took me through the various security questions. In addition she very quickly provided me with the information I requested and made it very clear to me what my policy allowed regarding overseas travel.

Beware! As many others have said on here, the cancellation fees with Achoice are extortionate. Once passing her test my daughter moved from Achoice to Admiral as it was a much more competitive price. A choice then charged over £86 to cancel her provisional policy. I wish I had checked Trustpilot reviews first as the policy documents you are sent do not make this clear.

Edit: I reluctantly paid the £50 cancellation charge but refused to pay the additional £36 charges. I was contacted by a very helpful lady called Kate who agreed to cancel those additional charges. Excellent customer service but still worth being aware of hidden charges to cancel.

I was able to make all the changes required to enable me to renew the policy with A-Choice

The most horrible and frustrating company I have ever had to deal with. I have never experienced such poor customer service or such blatant money-grabbing practices.

They cancelled my policy themselves over an issue that was not my fault, then had the audacity to charge me a £50 “administration fee”. It feels less like an insurance company and more like a business built around finding ways to charge customers extra fees.

The entire experience has been stressful, unfair, and incredibly disappointing. I would never recommend this company to anyone and will actively warn others to avoid it. If you value fair treatment, transparency, and decent customer service, look elsewhere.

Super easy to set up, and really easy to get in contact if needs be and super cost friendly for those who are young like me and don’t have hundreds of pounds to be wasting on insurance

Scammers! Will get as much money out of you as possible. I was renewed even though I said no. Then they tried to make me pay a cancellation fee. Along with other charges. Staff on the phone are rude and unhelpful. A nightmare to get through to them on the phone, feel like I spend half my life on hold to this idiotic greedy company.

This company quoted the cheapest for my 17yr old son as a first driver but that is the only positive. You have to call them to make any changes or for most questions and the four times we have called them throughout the policy we have waited on the phone between 40-60 minutes before being connected which is not acceptable. The staff are friendly when you get through but the waiting time is too long.

Smiley was really helpful. I had a query and was worried about how it would be resolved. She was very patient and also did her best to help me get the issue resolved. Please give her a pay rise!

Absolutely shocking company please avoid contact is horrible. I first brought my policy which was an absolute fortune and had a deposit of over £1000 and I was told by a lady on the phone if I was ever to cancel this money would come straight back to me. I find a far better deal elsewhere I cancel my policy told I was getting my deposit back after weeks no money and I have tried being charged £114 for cancelling and have tried contacting a choice to speak about my issue but no joy now they have ordered bailiffs to claim £114 off me but they have over £1000 of my money absolute scam artists and would be more then happy to take them to court for this. Please avoid shocking company and staff on the phone when you finally get through to them are so rude. I’m only 18 on minimum wage so that deposit is a huge Amount of money to me it is disgusting !
