Alinta charges exorbitant amount of fees…
Alinta charges exorbitant amount of fees.
Im change account ownership as im no longer will no longer live at at the property. To transfer account ownership to my own family member.
Alinta charges $65 to take me out and then charges another $65 to put my dads name on on the same account.
Alinta is double dipping their customers slug you when leave and slug when you enter in. I don't see they justify charging twice for the same disconnction and connection on the same property.
This is money trap grab for the greedy.
This property has a smart meter there is no need to come out and read the numbers, This can be done with 2 a site visit. What's the point of a *smart meter*

The fees advised by our agent are not charged by Alinta Energy, instead these are meter reading fees charged by your distributor for taking a final read to close an account and then taking a start read to open a new account.
Alinta Energy does not add its own fee to close or open an account.

Based on Vic comparison rate, Alinta looks to be reasonable for Gas and Electricity supply.
I prefer to move to Alinta and experience how they deal with their customer and resolve issues if any when I encouter.
