Bunch of self-serving scum
A door to door representative dropped by and told me about the program. When I informed him that I had a past due balance with my utility company, he lied and said "no problem at all"... a couple weeks later I talk to a phone representative about setting up auto-pay, and they told me that my past due balance would have to be dealt with, before I could enroll in the programs benefits. Last week they pulled money from my bank account, 2 weeks before the bill was due, which threw off my financial plan for the month... I called and asked what was going on, and the phone representative said even though I couldn't recieve the benefits of the plan, due to my past balance, they still used autopay to pull funds to pay my bill. I asked that they halt the process and return the fund, as it was putting me in a bad spot finacially, that I would "bounce checks" and get hit with late fees. They said they would contact billing and let them know the situation and see if they could return the funds, and that I should have a response within 48 hrs. I recieved no communication from them after 2 business days, so the 3rd day I called to see what was going on. The representative, not the same as the first phone rep, told me the first phone rep. might not have understood company policy, but they couldn't return my money because it was already submitted to the utility company. I complained, the representative didn't care and gave me some more BS about policies of their company and my account with them, as a child cooed and cried in the background. When I told the I was prepared to close my account, they basically acted like, "no big deal, go ahead". So I did. This company probably just uses our information to pad their numbers, so they scum in charge can fatten their wallets with government funding that is going towards their program, based on usage. The "little guy" is still getting the short end, while the rich greedily drain us of all we have. For more of the truth, check out the Better Business Bureau's site, over 170 more complaints there.

Arcadia Energy was saving me perhaps 20 dollars a month maybe less and I was having to deal with two providers for one utility. Based on this, I decided to Cancel.....this is where they get you. All of the sudden my bills are magically much bigger [same season, same usage], and then it takes 90 days to cancel. Then when that 90 days is up they will tell you that actually it can take 180 days to cancel! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR THIS COMPANY.

A scam. They sign you up . My sign up was 10/17/23. 2 homes. Still am not on solar farm. Call them you will get a run around. Frustrating. Go elsewhere .

After months of not saving a dime on my electric bill. I finally decided to cancel my Arcadia subscription and stop having my credit card billed. I found out it takes 90 days for them to decouple from my service provider PSE&G. Totally not worth signing on with them IMHO.
Do not Use this Company! They are a SCAM!
I was with this company for two years. They were saving me money until recently. My bills have been way more than what is actually due with Potomac Edison Electric. It wasn't adding up. I called and spoke with customer service and they continued to argue with me. They tried to convince me that my bill was $182.45 and it has never in over the six years that I have lived here been over $103. I told them to cancel my account and they told me that I have to wait 90 days to cancel my account. After complaining to the BBB and disputing the charges on my credit card they have made an exception to cancel my service. They are still trying to justify over charging me.
Broken promises, company keeps stringing customers along
Last spring, some canvassers knocked on my door and encouraged me to switch to Arcadia, with the promise of saving about 21% on my monthly electricity bills. It sounded like a good deal, so I signed up, but now -- nearly a year later -- I'm still waiting for the savings! Arcadia told me I would be placed on a waiting list and that it might take a few months for me to get matched with a solar farm, but I didn't have a problem with that, cause I figured waiting maybe a couple of months wasn't a big deal. It's now been 9 billing cycles, however, and I'm still on the waiting list! I've contacted the company a number of times, and they keep stringing me along, promising that it won't take much longer. In fact, back in the fall, they emailed to say that I had finally been matched with a solar farm, but that turned out to be a false alarm, as they somehow then ended up filling all the slots before assigning me, and I got put back on the waiting list! What's more, they've given me inaccurate information on a number of occasions. At one point, the representative I spoke to incorrectly claimed that my discounts still hadn’t been applied because there had been a billing glitch and that I would receive a discount on the following bill to make up for this. When I called back the following month, the new rep broke the news that I was still on the waiting list after all, but she assured me that I was now "at the top of the list," so I should expect to finally be matched with a solar farm "within the next couple of billing cycles." Two more billing cycles have passed since then, and when I log into my account, it now says that I have indeed been matched with a solar farm, but that it won't go online for another 5 months! To say I'm frustrated by this company's broken promises would be a vast understatement. I understand that maybe it’s a chicken-or-egg scenario where they can’t actually build more solar farms until they have more demand from customers, but it still doesn’t seem fair to make their customers wait this long!
Terrible service
Terrible service. First told me to change my PSEG email to a "forwarding" email. Then after I did that, they said my account was "dual" billing and that I'd still need to pay the bill via PSEG. Waste of time and clueless support.

Despite multiple calls regarding the same issue, I have been repeatedly assured that someone will contact me back, yet no one ever does. This lack of follow-through and poor communication reflects poorly on the company's commitment to its customers.
