I came to Berkeley Psychiatrists through Right to Choose after 37 years of struggling, wondering, and getting nowhere.

Sarah Jenkins did not just assess me. She spoke with me. She listened. She understood.

That distinction matters more than I can put into words. Anyone can work through a checklist. Sarah made it feel like a conversation between two people, and she never once made me feel like a case to be processed.

She was patient where I needed space. She was clear where I needed clarity. She was human throughout.

I have come away with a diagnosis, yes. But what will stay with me is *how* that diagnosis happened. Sarah gave me an experience I will remember for the right reasons, and after nearly four decades of doubt, that is no small thing.

If Berkeley Psychiatrists are reading this: Sarah deserves to be recognised. She is an asset to your clinic and to everyone who walks through your door.

An appointment was available almost immediately
I had a very welcoming and receptive assessor
I received a very clear and accurate report, with a diagnosis and follow-up actions.
A letter was provided for my employer to support me at work

The clinic staff is really helpful, all my issues were resolved quickly. Getting an appointment was easy, most difficult part was probably getting my GP to write a referral.
Appointment online took about an hour. The only issue I have is that I had to ask for a copy of the letter with results, it went to GP but not no me.
Now im waiting for the medication trial.
So far I can recommend this clinic.

I cannot recommend this clinic highly enough. The entire process was efficient, professional and compassionate from start to finish. Dr Helen Whitworth was kind, knowledgeable and incredibly easy to talk to. She explained everything clearly and carried out a thorough assessment in a calm, supportive and non-judgemental way.

Although receiving an ADHD diagnosis was emotionally challenging at first, the assessment has given me a much greater understanding of difficulties that have been present throughout my life and has given me real optimism for the future. I felt listened to, respected and treated as an individual throughout the process.

I had very positive experience during titration with Suzanne Hawkins. She was attentive, helpful and clear throughout the process. Over the months as we went through different standard options and variations of medication, she listened and carefully evaluated all the nuances and concerns that i had, and we ended up finding the combination that works very well for me.

I had a very good experience for my ADHD assessment with Dr Hearfield, she made me feel very comfortable and safe and really listened to me. She was kind and caring. The process was smooth and the waiting time was good. The next steps have been arranged for discussions about medication and future treatment.

Just great experience

Absolutely cannot fault this service. My entire experience over the last 4 months has been amazing. All staff I have worked with, from consultants, prescribers and admin staff have been attentive, helpful and understanding. No question is too big or small, and every request or query has been resolved quickly and efficiently. I would highly recommend going to Berkeley for care.

After change doctor the one I am using (Suzanne) is brilliant.

Dr Hollie Hearfield was very friendly and immediately made me feel at ease during my assessment she was really supportive and informative in reaching my diagnosis and I couldn’t have asked for a better experience and would definitely recommend

Within 5 days of deciding I needed an assessment, I had my meeting with Ian, who was exceptional at making the whole process an enjoyable one, giving my diagnosis immediately after the assessment.

Easy to book and get appointment. The doctor are really nice

I had my appointment with Sarah Jenkins she were was lovely. The appointment were about 1 hour long and she went through everything with compassion and empathy. We had a laugh which is important. I never felt judged but understood the entire time. Thank-you. I would definitely recommend!

Dr Helen Whitworth was easy to talk to and I really felt seen and heard. I left my assessment feeling satisfied and reassured with the information I received. A great service that eased my mind and saved a lot of time I would have had to wait for an NHS appointment.

I had a great experience in getting my diagnosis with Berkeley psychiatrists. I was very nervous in getting my adhd diagnosis as I feared I would be misunderstood and possibly feel judged or uncomfortable. This was not the case as the lady I had my consultation with ( I think named Hayley) was very reassuring, and made me feel like I wasn’t going crazy. The questions asked did not feel scripted and they went by my own experiences and needs, which made me feel comfortable in finally speaking what I have wanted to get across for years. I felt actually listened to and supported. I was then referred to a clinician called sheryl who has been very helpful in my treatment, calming my anxieties around medication and advising me on how to take them. My overall experience has been amazing and I would 100% recommend. I had troubles with my gp getting a referral, but once my RTC referral went through, I had an appointment within 1-2 weeks with Berkeley which I then got given my diagnosis and extra support, followed by an appointment the following week with the clinician. I then started my titration the following week.

Our experience with Berkeley Psychiatrists has been excellent. The process from enquiry, to booking, to being assessed, and diagnosed was less than two weeks. The ADHD assessment for my daughter was conducted by Dr. Taner Guvenir, who made her feel relaxed, comfortable, and calm. The assessment felt comprehensive and we left with a clear diagnosis and a titration plan, to help her move forward. I would definitely recommend.
