I was referred via NHS Right to Choose. I waited a week for my initial diagnosis, and was given a medication appointment a week later. My first appointment with Jelena was so helpful, she listened to what I wanted to get from medication and suggested a couple for me to look into which gave me time to think about my choices, and I saw her again a week later where she prescribed me my first dose. I've since been having monthly appointments with Jelena throughout the titration process and every appointment she ensures she understands how the medication is affecting me and her advice and expertise have been so incredibly helpful in understanding my ADHD and what I can expect from my medication. When I decided I wasn't getting what I wanted from my first medication she suggested another, and now I feel I'm on a dose that makes such a difference to my day-to-day life. I'm so grateful to have such a caring specialist who really knows what they're talking about and who I can trust is giving me all the information I need to make informed decisions.

From start to finish since my GP referral for NHS Right to Choose, Berkeley Psychiatrists have been brilliant.

The initial appointment since I had received my approvals was scheduled in a very timely way which was much appreciated and “kept the ball rolling” for me.

My assessor made me feel comfortable and was receptive to my honesty and allowed me to talk in full about my experiences throughout my life so far, and made a “scary experience” into something that was not scary in the slightest. The pre-documentation was sent to me efficiently, was very thorough and had clearly been reviewed in full before my appointment. The admin side of things was also completed very quickly, with secure systems for communication which are easy to use, with admin staff that I have called also lovely and happy to help.

Sheryl (prescribing nurse) is brilliant. Easy to talk to, understanding and actively listens and provides advice on any concerns around titrations and medications, sending resources to aid further understanding, scheduling all reviews very quickly, and sending prescriptions based on my feedback quickly too. She’s great and makes everything so much easier and more understandable.

Very helpful and efficient in aiding me

Lisa was really attentive, insightful and made me feel comfortable straight away.

Dr Ian Prenelle was brilliant as he 'got me' very quickly.
His patience and understanding helped greatly and put me at ease. Most importantly the Diagnosis (which I've had previously, but not off a prescribing psychiatrist) reassured me and helped to keep my Compass on track!
It will be interesting trying the medication.

My experience with Berkeley Psychiatrists has been genuinely life-changing. Not only did they start me on my ADHD medication, but they also provided me with my autism diagnosis. It finally gave me a complete understanding of my AuDHD and the exact tools I needed to move forward.

Working in a highly demanding career, the treatment has given me the clarity and focus to overcome challenges I previously thought were impossible. In my personal life, I am a much stronger, more resilient person today, and I finally have the practical tools to manage my daily routines effectively.

​Specialist pharmacist support:
The service does not stop at the prescription. The ongoing support, particularly from their specialist ADHD pharmacist, has been brilliant. Whenever I have a question or need guidance, I can contact them easily, and they are always responsive and genuinely helpful.

​Seamless GP acceptance:
One of the biggest reliefs was how smoothly they handled the handover. My GP accepted their diagnosis and treatment plan straight away, which took so much stress out of the whole process.

​I cannot recommend Berkeley Psychiatrists highly enough. They have helped me take control of my life.

Dr Taner Guvenir did an ADHD assessment for my sister. He was amazing and very thorough - he made her feel at ease. The entire process of the diagnosis from start to finish was smooth. The team are very easy to contact. I would recommend to anyone looking to do a private assessment.

Dr Joanne Woodger, conducted my autism assessment absolutely amazing service provided and understanding of my condition gave me a lot of advice at the end sent me leaflets and other things to help me better understand couldn’t of asked for better would definitely recommend :)

NHS Right To Choose with Dr May was amazing and quick!

I’m am incredibly happy with the support I have recieved from Dr Leon Cooper. Finding the right medication to meet my needs has taken a lot of time and I have felt my needs and requirements were respected and understood. I highly recommend this clinic.

Really good experience over the last few months, super helpful on all fronts. Had different prescribing nurses and everyone's been great, knowledgable compassionate and kind! Also easy to get hold of them on the phone when there was anything needed. Can only recommend.
