Expensive with hidden charges.
What a carry on. I experienced difficulties in both applying for and receiving my certificate. What made it worse were the extra costs as I progressed the application. Once I thought the process was finally over, then came the unexpected subscription charges that I was unaware I had signed up to. An expensive ordeal through and through. I would not recommend using this company at all.

I wanted to apply for my standard DBS was charged for it, then it kept saying to pay an exra 15 pound to upload documents i then tried to speak to someone to cancel but the navigation on the site is shocking and tried email for a refund as i have not been sent any document now to find out they are taking 8 pound subscription fee with out my consent and no way to cancel as its saying my details dont exsist

A member of our support team will contact you directly to look into your application from 3rd March, the charges you mentioned, and the paperwork you were expecting. They’ll make sure you get clear guidance and help to put this right.
Avoid Clearcheck if possible
Clearcheck is very good at setting up a DBS and taking your money if you are in a hurry, but it seems to be the default that you are then put on an enhanced service with a rolling charge of £8 per month until you notice and wonder why you are still giving them money. Then it is not at all clear how to cancel the enhanced service - and the payment is not a standing order or a direct debit so you can’t easily cancel it via your bank - and their messaging system is ridiculously clunky and it is easy to miss their instructions about cancellation. They seem to be trying to take your money for as long as they can get away with it.

Mary was quick with responses.
Overall service I’m not satisfied with though. After countless messages asking for email invoices (which I still haven’t received) as well as asking for the price breakdown which I received an answer too much it was a copy paste that must be sent around as I had an extra payment taken out my account that wasn’t disclosed even in the cost breakdown.
This still hasn’t been answered for me.
This is no reflection on Mary as she is probably doing her job just as she is told to do but that is my honest opinion.

I have been ringing for 3 months
I have been ringing for 3 months . No answer to phones . I’m on the Isle of Man so can’t get to office . They have charged me upfront for a check which I paid now they are taking money from my account every month . Don’t trust them . I am flying back in September and will go to the office directly. That’s if it exists. I’ve tried to contact them on their website and no joy .

Dreadful. I started process in May and it is now August and I still don’t have my certificate and been charged £29.50 plus verification fee. And 3 payments of £8.00 from my bank account,Sent Emails tried phoning them with no results, Now given up. I suggest don’t use them they are crooks ..
