Accidentally went through a corporate…
Accidentally went through a corporate DBS went through the support, gave my details and requested a refund. Had a reply from a member of the customer service team and they asked if I could provide a bank details and a screenshot of the transaction to which I did. Since then it has been radio silence. Woeful communication and very limited ways of communicating. Not happy in the slightest, would not recommend at all.

Awful. Website looked as if it was the goverment website and it is not. Paid £86 for DBS check then started to be charged £8 per month and haven't even received my check yet! Complete waste of money.

I paid a 100 pound for DBS went back to send the ID no link in like a few days now they have taken 8 pounds off my account not sure why I will dispute with my bank and will take it further this company is not to be trusted

I have never written a negative review in my life and I am sad that I have to do this for Clear Check.
I wanted a simple DBS check. Google search put Clear Check at the top of the search and I made the mistake of clicking on their link instead of the Government one.
So far:
1) I complained within 4 hours of submitting the form that I was misdirected and wanted a full refund
2) They offered me £27.50 instead of the full £87 that I paid as they said, despite no email confirmation that they had done the initial checks.
3) I feel I have to go along with the application but they now are charging a further £12.50 for the verification checks.
The whole thing will cost me nearly £100 instead of £27 .
I feel strongly that you should not use them unless you have no other choice.
If Clear Check put in a simple cooling off period or a check that you are happy to continue then this would have been avoided.

The system is extremely confusing with little to no help navigating it. The only way to make direct contact is through their ticket system, which leaves you waiting for days at a time and then only offers blanket copy and pasted responses.
My DBS will now not be processed in time for when it was needed and I'll be asking for a refund on the very expensive fee.

I would not recommend this company
I would not recommend this company. There are hidden fees at every turn and the web platform is confusing to navigate. There is no telephone helpline and help messages are sent back to you that don't address the concerns. Before I knew it I had parted with over £100 for a basic DBS check plus another £45 for access to the platform. No-one is helping to get the issue sorted out or provide a refund.
