I have been using this app for several…
I have been using this app for several years now and I am really positive about it. It is easy, smooth and quick way to collect contributions for different occasions, as in my case - teacher’s gift about Christmas, end of year, etc. I would highly recommend it.

Extremely disappointing experience.
I set up a Collection Pot for my dad’s birthday, and three days after his birthday I still cannot access my account.
I’ve spent around five hours over the last three days trying to resolve this. I’ve used the chatbot multiple times, spoken to a member of the support team, and followed every troubleshooting step I was given, including clearing my browser data, trying different browsers and devices, and attempting to complete the verification process. None of it has resolved the issue.
I’ve also emailed customer support and have received no response. Today I haven’t had any response through the chatbot either.
The most frustrating part is that family and friends have already contributed money, yet I have no way of seeing the collection or accessing the funds. As the organiser, this has been incredibly stressful and embarrassing, particularly as the birthday has now passed.
I appreciate that technical issues can happen, but what matters is how a company responds. After several days, many hours of my time, no meaningful communication, and still no resolution, I feel completely let down. I expected a much more reliable service and significantly better customer support, especially when people are trusting the platform with money for an important family occasion.
I cannot recommend this service based on my experience.

Fantastic concept, solves many issues in one platform, flawed opaque costing model
I love the principle of this system, the key points in the marketing are true and for a widely geographically diverse team as mine, a system like this makes a lot of sense. But I'm massively disappointed with the cost! I thought I was paying for the team to make their contributions without fees. Turns out EVERYONE experienced this leading to huge overall costs incurred. I accept there are hosting costs, support costs, development costs, and everything else associated, but it's a money grab. If this was reduced so only the host had to pay fees so contributors (who typically have exceedingly busy lives and don't want unforeseen surprises), aiding transparency for overall costs, I can see this being a very successful platform. As it stands, I won't be using this again.

Great way to collect money for a team gift
Really easy to use, stress free way to collect money for a team gift. Funds can be withdrawn into a bank account or used to purchase vouchers. Would definitely recommend.

Can't get access to money
This is such a joke. So many bad reviews!!!
Same as lots of other people on here, my colleague hasn't been able to retrieve the money. The chat bot is saying it might b her browser, but she has tried two different ones. There is no customer service number to call either.

We used Collection Pot via a QR CODE to use as a means of collecting financial gifts from our wedding guests, which we used towards our honeymoon. It was easy and straightforward, but most of all secure.
I recommend Collection Pot100% for an easy user experience and customer service always responded to our queries.
We were advised by CHAT GPT to use Collecton Pot as a safe alternative to handing out our bank details…. Plus a QR code looks more fun and professional!!

10% charge on all contributions is a…
10% charge on all contributions is a bit steep and when I went to withdraw the pot your suggested contribution to Collection pot was 50%! I was able to change it to 0% but by that time I was more than a little irritated. I think that the 10% charge puts a lot of people off contributing so it feels like being taken advantage of because nobody carries cash anymore.

Super simple to use
Super simple to use. Good email updates of what's happening with the pot. Had to keep delaying closing and was all very intuitive. Have used in past and would again as preferred online collection tool.

It took a week for an issue to be fixed…
It took a week for an issue to be fixed before I could access the collection pot to organise an gifts for a colleague that was leaving. Then when I could I couldn't withdraw the money and I could only spend it through the Collection Pot site, which is not what i wanted to do but didn't want to have to wait longer as the colleague had already left. So found things but it was not ideal. The customer support team were friendly and helpful but it took too long and the fact I could not then use the money for what i wanted was really disappointing. I will not be using collection pot again.

Easy but felt like being charged twice
Easy way to collect money for collection. Don't like that collection pot auto apply a few for both donations AND to take money out at the end. There is the ability to remove but it felt like we were being charged twice to use this service.

Service level dropping
Hi have been using collection pot for 4 years...this year they increased the transaction fee, lots of parents had payment issues & live chat does not work...sadly this year I can not recommend them

Customer care needs more attention
Website is a terrific concept which is why I keep returning with every work retirement I have to organise! :) Just to highlight that when "cashing out" there was a blue ! for additional info, but when pressed, the font didnt fit the text box (an error in your web formatting) - these things happen. I contacted your AI chat that transferred me to staff (great). I was specific with the detail, page, heading, blue !, explanation, but rather then following instruction I was asked to further clarify (which is just to repeat what I already said!) & then was asked for screengrabs! Totally unnecessary & completely frustrating! (staff assumed I was on a mobile - I wasnt). I felt I waited long enough, so proceeded still without knowing the answer, which was stressful as it was a lot of money that wasnt mine. So my final interaction with Collection Pot was both stressful & frustrating. I understand staff are juggling several queries at once, but rather than flinging out various standard questions, time should be taken to actually read the query.
