My positive experience was clouded by being in Northern Ireland
My experience was mixed. It's an excellent company with great dehumidifiers and extremely efficient and prompt customer service. My only gripe is that, because I live in Northern Ireland, this latest purchase (my third Ebac dehumidifier) had to be ordered through another company! Tragedy for NI.
PS -added after Ebac reply - yes, indeed, my ordering was online, so it's great that Ebac does indeed still deliver to NI. Just beware the website if it tells you otherwise!

I can confirm we do deliver to Northern Ireland, the postage is more and delivery does take a little bit longer, I can only assume that you tried to place on order online, where an order would not go through as we do not deliver to Southern Ireland.

We bought a 8kg washing machine about 2…
We bought a 8kg washing machine about 2 weeks ago, I installed it so it was level ( as per the instructions) using a spirit level, when loading it with clothes we make sure the items are all of the same size ( as per instructions) with just about every wash the machine jumps about like crazy and there’s nothing that can be done about it. Needless to say we are very disappointed with this washing machine.

Excellent dehumidifiers for UK
Excellent dehumidifiers. Having done some research would definitely suggest that a dehumidifier built for the UK climate is a must and this fits the bill. Smart controls are very easy to use. Did have a warranty claim which was dealt with very well.

Laundry Dri unit is most effective
Laundry Dri unit is most effective - was surprised just how much moisture it extracted from clothes and how quickly they dried. Build quality looks very good.
Bought direct from Ebac who extended warranty to 4 years as a result.
Happy to recommend.

Read this before you purchase!!
My dehumidifier was still well within its warranty, after reporting significant internal rust and overheating concerns, I was asked to return the unit for inspection and repair. It was then returned to me with no repair carried out. I was subsequently later told by customer services that internal rust and corrosion is completely “normal”. This completely contradicts them suggesting I send it back in the first place.
When I questioned how rust and corrosion inside a relatively new machine could possibly be considered normal, Richard from customer services simply said that was a question for the design team, not him. That is not an acceptable response when you’re trying to resolve a genuine warranty issue.
If corrosion is genuinely considered “normal”, why was I asked to package the unit up, arrange collection, and wait for it to be returned without any repair? It feels like a complete waste of my time and effort.
These dehumidifiers are marketed as being designed for the UK climate, yet if the internal components rust and corrode during normal use, that raises serious questions about the product’s long-term durability. Mine is still under warranty, but that appears to make little difference.
Save yourself the inconvenience, don’t waste your time or money. There are plenty of other manufacturers who stand behind their products and provide meaningful after-sales support.
Update - With regards to the comment by Natalie of the machine being heavily soiled, that raises further questions. How can a static machine which has a filter and is emptied when full become soiled? But despite the comment from Natalie I have since spoken with a manager from Ebac called Geordie who I wish I’d spoken to the first time of calling. After viewing the images Geordie confirmed the corrosion is excessive and will now replace the machine. It would be useful for the customer service team provide consistency in their messaging on corrosion inside their machines as despite this being replaced there is still the question of whether corrosion and rust is normal. I have increased the rating as Geordie was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable.

When you initially contacted us, you advised that, following a routine filter change, you had noticed corrosion on the end plates and that the unit appeared to be radiating more heat than before. At that stage, we explained that some surface corrosion can develop over time due to the moisture collected during normal operation and that warmer air output can be expected during warmer weather, as the unit dissipates the heat generated during the dehumidification process.
Despite this, we arranged for the unit to be returned so our engineers could carry out a full inspection, as it is not possible to accurately assess a product's condition or determine the cause of a reported issue without examining it in person.
During the inspection, our repair team found the unit to be heavily soiled, with clogged coils and a damaged drain tray. The coils were cleaned, the fan was replaced as a precaution due to signs of rust, and the unit was then tested overnight. The unit operated correctly throughout testing, with no fault found that required a warranty repair.

Wrong Information given
The reason why I have only gave this three stars is because, upon using their website, their automated assistant popped up, so I typed in the model No & serial number of what my dehumidifier is and asked what filters do I need to buy.
I was very impressed that the automated assistant came back with exactly what I needed to buy as well as the cost, so I placed an online order.
When the filters came which was fairly quickly, they were not the correct ones, so I rang them up, a nice chap answered very quickly, spoke English so you can actually understand him.
I then had to reorder and return the wrong item. If you have an automated assistant you need to check that the information they’re providing is correct.

Dehumidifier
First time I have bought a dehumidifier. We live on the North Cornwall coast, which has damp air all year. Although we have no visible Mould, sometimes we get a mouldy smell especially at the back of the house. I plugged in the dehumidifier and was so surprised at the amount of water in the chamber after 24 hrs. Also the air certainly seems fresher. Its centrally placed and is working well. There is a bit of noise but after a while its just background. Would recommend.

Ebac dehumidifier’s remain number 1 for me.
I have bought 4 dehumidifier’s in total from Ebac over the years and all are working well and ar far superior to other makes I have used which have been uneconomical to repair when they have broken down.
It’s simple to me if you want a product that’s well made and lasts and is made in Britain, Ebac is definitely the place to buy.
