Pointless service, Late, out of date therefore inaccurate information/misinformation. Clearly not one of the trusted financial organisation's that have access to credit and financial information that's never more than 24hrs updated.

Equifax just do not listen and it’s so stressful
Impossible to deal with and don’t listen to anything I say-To Equifax- If you want to list an address that is 18 months out of date so be it - I may apply for a loan using that old address and state you verify that I live there!

If you really wanted my information you could have put a request on here like Experian did and also I find your response very sarcastic and rather pointless which sums up my experiences with Equifax!

I took out a free months membership to…
I took out a free months membership to see how they differed from others I had used.
For me I could get the same information free elsewhere.
I have given them a 3 rating for the above reason and also that whilst they made it clear there would be a charge from month 2 onwards no reminder was sent unlike most other companies would do.
Although it could be said it was my responsibility to remember I felt it a little sneaky not to send a reminder.

Absolutely shocking customer service
Absolutely shocking customer service. Do not take out a subscription with these people. If you cancel it they still try and take the money from your account, even though you have cancelled your subscription. You raise a case and they close it down immediately after responding with "no money has been taken from your account so do not worry." I have repeatedly requested for my card details to be removed from their data base and that request is being completely ignored. I have now had to go down the route of cancelling my bank card and reported it as fraudulent activity. I will never be using equifax ever again, the customer service is next to nothing!

Something that should be straight forward was complex with you
It took so long to get a response from you after unnecessarily complex ID checks. I had to abandon the process and use another platform to get my credit report.

Totally unreliable scoring
They lied about me having an excellent credit rating but then I couldnt get any credit, so they wasted my time and I am sure their score couldnt have been accurate.

Excellent App
Easy to register and verify your ID. Easy to navigate the app and found out where I had car finance from over the last 20 years for free. This is a must have if you can’t remember who you had finance with because if you use a claim company they will take at least a third off you in fees and add vat on top!! Highly recommend Equifax.

They give you a dramatically lower…
They give you a dramatically lower credit score than all the other creditors solely on the basis that you don't have a lot of credit history, but then their score prevents you from getting any credit history, so you end up doomed to be punished for life like someone who was irresponsible with debt in their youth despite a long history of being so responsible with my finances that I've never needed or wanted credit.

Can’t trust the information they share
Equifax added a ‘new’ credit account to my report. It actually related to a car lease agreement which had been completed several months earlier and had been closed. I complained and was told it was correct so no change would be made. You cannot trust the information they share about you.
So I get the same standard response from Equifax. But I wasn’t posting here for support, I was posting here for others to see how useless they are.

Rubbish agency
I wrote to Equifax regarding my Financial information on Clear score which showed a closed account as being Active. I then contacted Equifax on the 31st August and within minutes they had resolved the issue and closed the case. I then logged into my Equifax account and went to My Cases which showed nothing and nothing in Closed case so basically they didn't do anything.

Equifax has merged the credit history…
Equifax has merged the credit history of a different person with my credit history, so the other person's history shows up on my credit check. The other person has the same name as me, and was born on the same day, but has a different year of birth, and a different address.
The other person has a bad credit record so it adversely effects my rating. It is shocking that such a fundamental failure of not matching the year of birth does not get picked up and corrected automatically and that I needed to report this myself.
Equifax told me it would take at least 2 working days to correct this. In the meantime I can't get a mortgage in principal, so I can't submit an offer on a house that I want to buy. I will probably lose the house by the time this is sorted out.
