After some initial difficulties getting some problems resolved, Fox have gone above and beyond to resolve some issues which weren’t ultimately their fault. Ben has attended last sight on the number of occasions and even stayed till 10 pm last night after installing a brand-new inverter at their cost due to a design issue by our installer.
He didn’t leave site until everything was working properly.

I recently had my Solar System & Battery installed it was supplied by Fox ESS and I couldn’t be happier with the service. Engineer Ben was exceptionally pleasant and clearly very experienced. He took the time to explain everything in detail and made sure I understood what was happening at each stage of the process. As an ex-armed forces professional, his discipline and professionalism really showed he’s a real asset to his company. Overall, Fox ESS provides a great product and excellent customer service. I’ve had a consistently excellent experience with FoxESS. The quality of their products is matched by the quality of their support, which is reliable, responsive, and genuinely expert.
A special mention has to go to Ben, who is an elite engineer in every sense. He’s incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and always willing to go the extra mile. As is typical of brands from the Far East, when the battery fails (which it will) you will be left with a paperweight with no way to resolve the issue other than to buy a replacement.
Save yourself ALOT of headache - get a Tesla PW3 from a certified Tesla Installer instead of this rubbish.
What customer support?
I’m massively disappointed with the customer support from Fox ESS.
I’ve had two support tickets sitting unanswered for the past two weeks. I used to be a fan of the brand, but this experience has completely changed my view.
Even my installer had to chase them up—sending multiple emails just to get a response—and then spent over three hours on the phone. Despite all that effort, there’s still no clear solution in place to fix the system.
At this point, the system has worked for one month and been broken for another, which is completely unacceptable.
If you’re on the fence about choosing this brand, I’d strongly suggest looking elsewhere. I genuinely regret going with them.
Painful to work with
Painful to work with: phone lines that no one answers, voicemails left that no one responds to, terrible online portal full of bugs, hardware problems that they seem unable to solve... nightmare.

Dont buy a.fox -ESS system their.customer.service is crap.Trying to get a firmware upgrade to get the bloody.thing to link to Octopus is impossible.25 minutes on hold to get hel then it goes to an answer machine that no one at Fox responds to.2 days of calls and you finally get through a Surly rep who was not helpful and fobs you off requiring you to call back again

Broken app no customer service response
The update to the app (Feb 2026) means we can no longer control charging from the grid. This is a major reason we bought our solar panels. I have contacted Fox via the app twice and had no reply.
