Great rabbit dummy …
I use the small rabbit dummy on my spaniel when she starts eating dead animals on walks, I get this out and throw it for her , she finds it more interesting than the dead animal. Good service and rabbit 🐇

Hoggs of Fife wellies - perfect product and ordering service
Ordered Hoggs of Fife wellies. They arrived within the week promised when ordered, and are doing the job brilliantly - was looking for something full length with Vibram soles to replace Hunters which had suddenly started giving me blisters. These are very comfortable both in terms of not giving me blisters and having shock-absorbing soles. Perfect.

I ordered a Pheasant Hen 1lb dummy for my Working Cocker Spaniel.
The item arrived quickly, was as described and proved to be very good value for money.

They advertise items on their website that they don't have in stock and so obviously they just don't arrive.
Got a refund in the end but only because I kept asking if the item had been sent.

For clarity, and for the benefit of other customers reading this review, we’d like to set out the facts.
Your order was for a book priced at £9. Unfortunately, our supplier experienced an unexpected delay, meaning we were unable to dispatch within our stated 5 working day dispatch timeframe.
Rather than keep you waiting beyond that period, we made the decision to cancel the order and issue a full refund, which was processed promptly. No money was retained by us.
As clearly stated in our shipping policy (available on every page of our website), if a product is likely to exceed 10 days, customers are advised. In this case, we took action 9 working days after order placement, choosing to refund rather than delay further.
We do not knowingly advertise items we cannot supply. On this occasion, when it became clear we could not meet our dispatch promise, we acted in line with our policy and in the customer’s best interest.
We appreciate that delays can be frustrating; however, we respectfully disagree with the suggestion that this reflects misleading practices. It reflects a decision to prioritise fairness and transparency over convenience.
With these facts in hand you may wish to amend your rating to reflect fairness?

Everything I ordered arrived safely packaged and was of good quality. I did become anxious about communication when order didn’t arrive but I did order just before Christmas so appreciated it was a busy period. I would still recommend and will order from gun dog catalogue again 👍

Order 28th December
Order 28th December. We are now 17th January, no order delivered, no response to emails, no tracking available (the silly shop app I need to download has no tracking)
After chasing them for the 3rd time and complaining, they cancelled my order... shocking behaviour, I am amazed this business is still going.
The statement made about threat is simply wrong and no indication was made it would be delayed because of Christmas...tbh I did not mind it to be slower / later than the 5 working days delivery I was promised when ordering but some comms would have gone a long way.

For clarity and for the benefit of customers reading this, this order was placed on 28 December during our clearly published Christmas closure period, which was displayed on our website and confirmed via our out-of-office messaging.
Following reopening, our response time fell below our usual standard and we accept that communication should have been quicker. We apologised for this directly.
Before we were given reasonable time to resolve the matter, a negative review was posted and further escalation was indicated unless specific delivery and compensation outcomes were agreed.
As we do not believe reviews should be used as leverage, and as it was clear the experience was no longer positive for either party, the order was cancelled and fully refunded in full.
We always aim to resolve issues constructively and fairly, but we will not do so under pressure or threat.

Placed an order on the 2nd January for training treats. Order not fulfilled and customer service ignoring my emails! Will not use again as was very expensive but and was hoping to train my cocker away from pheasants with them but just wasted my money

The package arrived very quickly, was securely packed and the shirt is excellent. It’s maybe a little darker than the illustration but is absolutely fine and very warm.

Slip lead
I am very happy with the product which is in twice daily use and exactly what I wanted to train my puppy to walk to heel.
My only gripe would be that it took a long time coming, I note others have said your despatch time is slow and I would agree with this. I had hoped to receive the lead within a couple of days but as it took some 10 days I ended up buying a second one from elsewhere.

I’m sorry to hear you were disappointed with the time it took to receive your order, and I’d like to clarify this as transparently as possible for you and other readers.
Your order was placed on 3 November and was despatched on 10 November, which was within our clearly stated 5 working day despatch timeframe. Once an order leaves us, delivery times are unfortunately outside of our direct control and can vary depending on Royal Mail workloads at the time. I am sorry that despite our using a Track24 service Royal Mail didn't deliver until 12th November.
That said, we completely understand how frustrating it can be when an item is needed quickly, and I’m sorry it didn’t arrive as soon as you had hoped. We do our best to balance fair pricing, quality products, and realistic despatch times — and we’re always working to improve where we can.
