Quoted price +VAT
That is the second time I use Holocene. 1st time was perfect, I even recommended it to friends. However the second time the experience was not as good. I asked for a quote over the phone for MOT & Full Service. Was told the price. Left the car and I then received a call that the brakes needed replacement. Asked for the price and told them to proceed. When I arrived to pick up the car they had forgotten to do the MOT. I had to wait 20 minutes. Then when I got the bill, 20% of the quoted price was added for VAT as they said that it was mentioned over the phone that the price was +VAT which I do not recall. I am a private customer not a company to be quoted prices +VAT. This needed to be clear. Also the service book was not completed properly and I needed to ask to be done. I was offered free MOT next year but the overall experience was far from pleasant.

Excellent garage
I have been getting my Audi A6 serviced at Halocene on Camden Road for several years. They are always very friendly, helpful, upfront about costs of service and repairs, and the icing on the cake is that the car is always returned spotlessly clean regardless of the condition in which it was brought into the garage.
I would have given them 5 stars if they were a little more competitive on price, but as the saying goes "you get what you pay for" so I would still choose them any day over any of the other garages I used to frequent.
