If you want to give the items you purchase online as Christmas gifts, do not order from Home Bargains. Boxes packed by throwing everything together in one large box and hoping for the best. Boxes bent and broken, bottles leaking and a general mess. They couldn't put less effort in if they tried. Received two boxes both in exactly the same state.

I bought some Christmas decorations online when they arrived they only fit for the bin.
What a complete waste of time and money I just put them in the bin.

Hard to get round the site.
Things you're looking for not listed under what your searching for. I cannot enter my postcode no matter what I do and I'm pretty sure its not my end.i do like homebargains online as I'm disabled. Only other problem,no humans to ring for problems

Some lovely bits in it.
But when something is damaged or missing parts they take barely any money off it.
I got a £60 broken item, it was reduced from £64.99.
Like it was broken missing a whole arm!
I needed it for my autistic son as his previous one broke completely and he was devastated asking every single day and that’s the only one the store had.
So I bought it.
But I wished they’d have given a reasonable amount off. It was missing the arm so it’s not like I could glue it back on or what ever.
The staff are usually fine.
The store lay out is fine.
The items can be great and others it can be bad but that’s not the shops fault they’re selling it as it is.

what a pleasant experience in the chelmsford store today at the tills we were served by Tom H who was so welcoming and helpful a really good advert for home bargain 10 out of 10 Tom for customer service!

My first shop was perfect, all items arrived within the time stated and was good quality for the price.

My second shop came in two deliveries a couple of days apart. One item being left on the doorstep. Hence, the four stars.

I would shop there again.

I wish there was a lower option. Terrible customer service. I got lucky once with one person but in general they are terrible. They don’t even bother to email back and absolutely do not care. They have dispatched my order wrong four times. Seems easy to make the warehouse aware of what they are doing and correct it. Then say I have to pay postage again to reorder it. Disgusting! I also took an online return in store and the lady huffed and complained it was difficult.

So fed up of Home Bargains at Poole retail park Redlands. They are not supposed to be making deliveries after 9pm. Its now 21.50 nearly 10pm at night and they are making loud metal banging noises with their HGV lorries 50 metres from my home and a residential area. Loud metal cages rattling and banging. So sick and tired of these inconsiderate staff even after I have spoken to the manager and she assured me they will never deliver after 9pm as they are only permitted until this time. Even after 5 pm its a nuisance every single night I cannot enjoy my home due to the loud noise and it frequently wakes up my baby who needs her sleep for development. I have recorded this tonight and will be sending it to my local MP as I have contacted BCP and they have completely ignored me. If the MP doesn't sort this I will take these people to magistrates myself. I have 6 weeks of evidence of every night making loud noises for hours. I have a diary and 2 videos of them delivering after permitted hours. I hate Home Bargains selfish inconsiderate staff

Chichester Store

One of the worst stores I've been too in general for staff friendliness and attitude's towards customers and unprofessionalism when over hearing them talk about customers, I used to regular shop here coming straight from work in the NHS and still wearing my NHS lanyard , One guy, shift leader perhaps, always watching me, Made me feel so uncomfortable to the point it gave me a panic attack, If you work in the NHS, do not shop here, they do not deserve taking our heard earned cash., Also Staff smoking out the front in full view of customers isn't a good look,

I’ve had the worst shopping experience with this company over an online order the customer services constantly mis led me for a week saying my item was in transit with a bogus Evri tracking no they sent me that didn’t exist I wrote at least seven emails and was assured my item was on route which was a complete lie Evri said they never had a parcel in my name or address and still customer service refused to contact Evri and sort it out and today fobbed me off with a refund I’m fuming after they have wasted my time for an entire week THANKS-FOR NOT Doing Your Job DYLAN 😡

I bought a Spear and Jackson heavy duty bbq cover & the first strong winds this weekend have ripped the cover on both sides, I am very disappointed as I only bought it in July.

On a recent visit to the Saltash store i felt quite uncomfortable while browsing near a member of staff. A tall girl with dark hair in a top bun was talking to a customer about someone and it was clearly not nice things being said about this person. Im not sure if it was about a member of staff but it was right at the entrance and very loud. Puts me off returning tbh.

We visited Home Bargains on Archer Road Sheffield to get a helium balloon for our granddaughter’s birthday. Staff were incredibly helpful. They helped us choose a balloon and blew it up for us. We’ll definitely be shopping at Home Bargains in future!

Bought a Gingerbread drink at Home Bargins Newcastke Underlyme, cost £3.58 taste nothing like what I expected, don't waste your money.

Broke down in their car park Weir road Wimbledon, called breakdown assistance but they couldn’t get to me soon enough to enable me to do the school run and wouldn’t get back to the car before 7pm the manager and staff were so kind taking my reg to stop any fine I could incur. So nice to come across decent people unlike the trouble encountered at the Nelson health centre they were awful that ticket cost me dear.

My local home bargains store is a good size, bright, clean, well stocked. During a recent visit I noticed I had been overcharged for an item. The manager who dealt with my enquiry was one of the most uncomfortable customer service experiences I have ever encountered. He implied that I was somehow at fault. I left the store feeling embarrassed and unsafe. I made a complaint through the home bargains website and had to follow up twice, eventually receiving a reply three weeks later. This despite an automated message stating a 5day turnaround for a response. The eventual response was curt in tone, and claimed my complaint was dealt with urgently, yet it took 3 weeks to reply to me.
Whether a store is luxury or bargains I still expect a basic level of customer care. Home Bargains in my experience are seriously lacking in customer care and the whole experience left me feeling unsafe and unsupported. Which is a disappointment.

I bought a PIFCO Upright Fan Heater 2000w. It had come back in stock after 5 months. The first time I switched it on it caught fire!! 🔥 Luckily it was in the conservatory and we managed to get it outside before it caught anything else alight. I received an automatic reply. I assumed I would be contacted by Home Bargains as this could have been a much worse situation. I have heard nothing from them today, 13/10.

Good deals, but wasn't happy with the sale of Harry Potter merchandise. JK Rowling is implicated in the Epstein files, illegally deleted her yacht's maritime travel history after that came to light, and has called lolita a "tragic love story", so to see you still selling her merchandise to children was rather off-putting.

I messaged homebargains about some microwave vegetable rice nearly 8 months best before date ..they apologised but said it only best before that date..1 or 2 weeks over maybe but nearly 8 months..shit customer service..I didn't want a refund or anything except for them to check dates on the others..I'm sure the owners would not be happy with their customer service team.
