Ordered 4 large items, and today a tiny pkt was delivered......clearly see my label has been removed from my parcel and stuck on this one. On contacting customer support the reply was to tell me my items were scanned through the till and I should check with my household if someone took it! Courier proof of delivery photo clearly shows what they delivered and that no way could my items be there

I'd avoid shopping online with this disgusting company as when it goes wrong they do their utmost to avoid responsibility

Queues at the tills lucky to have 2 tills open at any one time. Not enough staff
No customer returns. Have to queue up to return items. Not really many bargains compared to other stores. Customer service really?

Bognor regis store ..Was stopped just after paying and our bags was searched and receipt checked they said my daughter and my self was concealing items but they didn't find anything but continued to ban us for no reason the manager was verbally abusive and so was 2 male members of staff ... one of the male staff with glasses .. followed us out the store giving us abuse and following us even tried to take pictures of our car ... they called the police and when we got pulled over they spoke to us and checked receipts etc and basically everything we told them the shop had already said but the shop still continued to ban us and also added one of us to face watch ... they was told I'm a vulnerable person and they basically told me I'm a lier so thanks to home bargains my fear of going into a shop is at its high so I would rather stay in my home now ... head office has been written to a few times and have been unsuccessful at getting back to us they was even rang and we was told an area manager would look into it but they never did

Went into blackpool tyldesley road the other day after asking a member of staff called Kevin to put me aside the new polar express pjs in my daughters size and I’m very greatful that he put them aside for me. Kevin is always very friendly and always smiles when I come into the store and is also very chatty can’t fault this store at all

Purchased Bob Martin Flea and Tick from your Gloucester store. This product should be removed with immediate effect. I have just returned from my Vets as this product caused severe burns to my French bulldogs neck and severe pain. £196.33 vets bill, this product is lethal not recommended by vets and should be removed.

I visited the Cumbernauld store today for the first time. One of the staff helped me find exactly what I was looking for, her name was Kirsty , so helpful and friendly.

I’ve ordered candles from home bargains online and never had an issue however this time around 3 of the 7 large jar candles were smashed. There was glass sticking through the bubble wrap and I almost sliced my hand open twice.

I’ve never had to contact them before so didn’t know what to expect however soon discovered there is little NO customer service at all! You fill in their silly online form and then get an automated email telling you for anything damaged you must take it back to a store however for broken glass to reply to the email which I did. I’m now just left waiting for a reply and considering that glass could have injured me you’d think they’d be pretty quick to deal with this however absolutely nothing from them.

I’ll be giving them until the end of the way and then I’ll be doing a clawback from my bank.

Will never use them again after this and the lack of any response in Trustpilot shows just how poor a company they are.

I would strongly encourage you NOT to buy anything online from them because if it goes wrong it’s a nightmare trying to get any resolution from them.

I honestly feel completely let down by Home Bargains and, at this point, the whole experience has felt like a scam.

I placed an online order on 1 September and the delivery option shown at checkout said “3–5 days – Standard.” I reasonably understood this to mean my order would arrive within 3–5 days.

Since then, I’ve been given multiple different delivery expectations. Home Bargains later told me that their standard delivery was 3–5 business days and specifically told me my order should arrive by 8 September.

It didn’t.

Evri then confirmed that the parcel was delayed, and I eventually found out from Home Bargains that the parcel had been damaged and was being assessed by Evri.

I even contacted Evri myself, and their automated service told me that the parcel could not be delivered and recommended contacting Home Bargains for a replacement.

So I contacted Home Bargains expecting them to simply replace the order.

Instead, I was told they cannot resend the items. My only option is apparently to have the order stopped, returned and refunded.

That’s incredibly frustrating. I don’t want a refund — I want the items I ordered and paid for.

I’ve had the delivery timeframe changed multiple times, waited for an order that ultimately cannot be delivered, contacted both Home Bargains and Evri myself, and I’m now being told that Home Bargains won’t replace the order.

What makes this even more frustrating is that when I raised the original delivery issue, I received automated responses rather than someone actually dealing with the problem properly.

I understand that parcels can occasionally be damaged in transit. What I don’t understand is why, after all these problems, the customer is simply left without their order and told to accept a refund, rather than Home Bargains doing everything reasonably possible to fulfil the purchase.

The whole experience has left me feeling like I’ve been messed around from beginning to end, and frankly, it has felt very scam-like from a customer’s perspective.

I’ve now had to escalate this through their complaints procedure because customer service has failed to resolve the issue.

I would strongly recommend Home Bargains review how its delivery estimates are presented at checkout and how damaged online orders are dealt with. This has been an extremely disappointing experience.

I have bought a few times online before with Home Bargins and never had an issue but with my last order I have . They state 4 working days if you order before 6pm but this time they have informed me after emailing them to find out where my order is that I will have to 7 working days even though in their own email they state 3 to 5 days . This is a small order weight order as well.
With Christmas in 4 months watch out if you chose to order with them as they clearly can't cope now and give you extremely poor reasons as to why you have to wait even though they are quick enough to take your hard earned cash ppl.

It's a shame that I've had to write this because up to now the online service has been great.
However my son ordered some bird seed etc and when the box tuned up one of the packets had spilt seed all over the box from a bag that was split. There was no damage to the box so I emailed them with pictures showing the damage. I pointed out that it had been caused prior to packaging. All I received back was an automated reply to either send the offending item back at my own cost or take to a store. Luckily my wife was able to take to a store and get a replacement. Turns out that HB dont accept phone calls just emails. Seems a cop out to me and my son wasn't treated correctly when he spent his hard earned pocket money.

Homebargains... when i tried drinking from the blueish greenish bottle you had there was no water and the worst part i was severly dehydrated I EXPECT A REFUND

Not very quick to open more checkouts even though big ques. No apologies from staff about your wait.

I visited home bargains fratton way, southsea, Portsmouth. In my shopping basket I bought 1× Bumper Plums, the price was £1.59. The fruits label from Portugal. I had the fruits after dinner and it is not edible, no fruit taste and I have to throw the whole load. Here your quality control department is poor and it is totally disappointed.

I don’t like to leave this negative review as I love Home Bargains generally, however, their online service is a shambles. I placed an order on the 30th August & I still have no idea when it’s being delivered. If you contact them online you’ll be waiting ages for a response & the response is not usually helpful. They also use the worst courier. I think an improvement would be giving customers the choice of a courier as sometimes it’s just couriers in certain areas that are dodgy. The courier driver that should have delivered this parcel on Saturday quite often fails to deliver parcels or they get “lost” particularly around Christmas time.

We visited the northfield branch and was assisted by Cody at approximately 3.42today ….., we have to say his demeanour, and mannerisms were well above average….such a polite young gentleman…..he is a credit to your company….

Was in St Ann's Home Bargsins today 03/09/2026 . I wanted some mens body spray . I was shocked to see they only had 5 single items on the shelf relating to mens grooming. Really, really poor .No body spray . If you want any mens toiletries from St Ann's Home Bargains, you'd be wasting your time . I seriously thought they'd been robbed . Anyway I then went into Cleveleys Home Bargains on my ebike . No body spray only antiperspirant and the shelves were very poorly merchandised and bear . It's been like this now for a few weeks . The shelves are not being merchandised like they used to be .

Got a funny feeling Home Bargains is going to close down .

Being an pensioner I use small trolleys, but even the chain has gone I am also disabled but have to walk from the bottom of the car park to get a smaller trolley I use these because I am also only 5ft and cannot reach the bottom of a big trolley so have to balance everything on the flap at the top, I also get logs also find it difficult to lift them out of a large trolley. I know I’m not the only pensioner or elderly lady that shops with you or do you only cater for able, young, and larger families now, leaving only bigger trollers out just means ill use B & M or Aldi. One upset loyal customer, which I know doesn’t mean a lot these days.

Went into Home Bargains today and there was a lady who had been asked to serve at the tills. She sat down and served my brother, one of the items needed an ID check. She could clearly see that my brother was a child and still proceeded to ask him do you have ID with a straight cold stone expression multiple times. Him being confused turned to me asking what does that mean, i then said no he doesn’t and she took the item and put it on the side of the till and replied Impolitely. Speaking to an adult or a child, a worker should remember to have manners when being approached.

Just got overcharged again third time in a month shelf price £3.49 for what I got at the checkout £3.99 charged for a different product than the one I had I chalenged this at the checkout and they would have non of it imagine how much extra cash they would get if the do this often and I had it three times in one month. I have the recipt I have a picture of the shelf I have the item

This Discount store is good for many items,
family-friendly, but above all good honest to goodness value!

The one item that is excellent is it’s excellent

50 in a pack, do not tear, are extra big, and do not bunch up or stick to each other.

They are without doubt, the go-to toilet wipes, and 2 packs for £1, they blast Lidl/Aldi/Andrex/Morrisons and all others into oblivion.
