I did my training at the alfreton yard. Everybody there was extremely friendly and professional. I had Andy W as my instructor and i cannot praise him enough. He taught me everything i needed to know about my c+e. He was patient and really helped me calm my nerves, especially at roundabouts !
Cannot reccomend these guys enough

I passed my 3a reverse and 3b C+E driving tests first time with Hughes Driver Training in Thurmaston. Currently they have only one instructor, Niel, and he was fantastic with me. I’m really proud of passing and can’t thank Niel and HDT enough.

Just passed my class 1 license through Hughes Driver Training. Can’t say nothing my good things about them and can’t recommend them enough, the whole process has been fast, easy and stress free. Big thank you to Heidi my instructor for helping me through the whole process, she is kind and extremely patient,

I recently passed my PCV driving test and my CPC with Hughes. I have Autism Spectrum Disorder, and while I found some elements of the course to be quite intense (as is the nature of the courses with the shorter timescale), I felt that the people at Hughes, in particular my instructor Ady, were very accommodating and understanding, especially when I mentioned my condition to them. The training itself was highly comprehensive but well-applied, and Ady did a great job setting my mind at ease while also pushing me to improve my driving to that which was required. He set clear standards while making it easy to learn. Overall, I was looked after very well, and I would recommend them all day.

Enjoyed and thought the training by keith was excellent. Help me through out and would highly recommend him if in need of hgv training

Used the alfreton depo for my training..excellent team and set up from start to finish..I can't thank Andy B enough from the Monday to the Thur..patient and always motivating and guiding throughout the 4 day course..getting me to test on the thur and passing for someone who has never driving a lorry never mind class 1..Andy B thank you so much

Very good training school. I did my training i Leeds.lukas was my trainer and was very good and professional all the way through. Helped with everything I needed to know and explained everything that I didn't know, I would recommend lukas anytime.

Brilliant revision documents helped me pass theory first time, and I had Neil for my practical training and cannot fault him, very helpful and understandable when I was behind the wheel, he helped me pass first time.

HDT, Great company to do your LGV licences with, from day one all of my courses were booked for me no stress. My instructor Richard from Coleshill, gave me lots of encouragement and advice so I’m pleased to say I passed first time with no previous experience would use them again…

Managed to pass my Class 1 test thanks to the help of Calvin Townsend and Greg Ryglicki I really appreciate the knowledge you passed on to me

Keith from Northampton was a mega trainer, made everything so simple to understand and gave you advice on what to do and what not to do. Brilliant people, would recommend

The attitude of the (trainer).I didn't know jumping out of the vehicle thetaning a road user was part of the highway code. I just hope his pupils don't get his attitude. Shame on you threatening
too punch my teeth out and calling me a old can't by the way it is on dashcam this happened in sunderland

During my time pf training i was trained by Mark for five day and i can say he did a very good job though I couldn't pass at the first attempt but it was not his fult and on my resit i met Heidi she also did well.
The training yard was not hard to locate and the cars for the training were also nice

Thanks to Jim and John in Bristol, I passed 3b test on the second attempt. I first failed in Manchester as the instructors there are absolutely shocking, rude and und unfriendly and went into the test very nervous.I couldn't even ask questions as I thought the instructor would think that it's stupid. Paid soo much for a 5 day course in Manchester but Jim and John in Bristol thought me soo much in 2 days than what I learnt 5 days in Manchester. They both were very friendly, knowledgeable and they said most of the question I had were good. Jim even thought how to calm my nerves before and during the test . I went in today excited to do my test and passed with only one minor. Honestly the best guys in the south west. My mod 4 is not even booked with them but John even explained the mod 4 and the best ways to prepare for it. I strongly recommend you use them if you are in the south and want to get your hgv licence. I didn't give 5 stars because of the experience in Manchester.

Absolutely brilliant experience. My instructors Lukas and Paul were fantastic, knowledgeable and easy to build a rapport with. I passed on my Cat C test and the support was fantastic from start to finish.

Just want to say a massive thankyou to Heidi at Hughes’s driver training ! Past me first time today couldn’t be happier! Brilliant trainer! Thankyou again!
