Avoid Avoid and Avoid
Avoid Avoid and Avoid
This company is not for car leasing it more for scamming their customers daily.
I been using Teala model Y nothing wrong with the car but they been over charging me every month £10 on the name of Administration charges.
Pure nonsense, i got a toll charge which i missed on a motorway which i been charged £20 for the same toll letter which can be easily send me as one but they made is double same letter.
I was negotiating with the toll company directly and they agreed to reduce the charges. Then found out lex auto paid it without my knowledge and permission.
Toll max charge with £32 but guess what lex auto lease company charged me £57.60 adding £25 for admin charge.
Pure scammer this is just a scam running company.
New car MOT should be due after 3 years guess what i have to pay for a MOT after 26 months again not a new car then after me changing the company i been told this is sit car was in parking yard not our fault.
If anyone reading this review i am filing a legal dispute with ombudsman against this company if you are facing similar issue contact me on this review and i will send you complaint reference number.
More evidence will help us to get the directors running scam behind the bars.
☆☆☆☆☆ Cancer, Loyalty and Zero Empathy
★☆☆☆☆
After almost nine years as a Lex Autolease customer, this is how our relationship ended.
I contacted Lex with a simple question. I asked whether the final charges on my vehicle could be spread over three months due to the impact cancer treatment had had on my life and finances.
I was not refusing to pay.
I was not even disputing the charges.
And I certainly was not asking for debt advice.
I simply asked whether a payment arrangement could be considered to split over 3 months for cashflow.
Unfortunately, nobody seemed willing to answer the actual question I had asked.
Instead, I was directed into financial difficulty processes, sent information about debt advice organisations, income and expenditure assessments, and correspondence relating to hardship support.
When I eventually decided I no longer wanted any arrangement and simply wished to settle the account, I repeatedly requested copies of the final invoices.
Despite multiple requests, including a final chase on 4 June, the invoices were not provided until 9 June.
During that period, I received correspondence advising that my account was in arrears and warning that my credit file could be affected.
The irony is that I was actively requesting the invoices needed to settle the account while simultaneously receiving correspondence advising that the account was in arrears.
At every stage, I felt that Lex were responding to processes rather than listening to the actual issue being raised.
For context, during the last year I have undergone chemotherapy, a stem cell transplant and ongoing treatment for incurable cancer. Despite this, I honoured my agreement throughout and made every payment due during the near nine years as a customer.
What disappoints me most is not the money.
It is the lack of communication, common sense and empathy shown when a long-standing customer simply asked a question and spent weeks trying to obtain the information needed to settle his account.
Lloyds Banking Group's advertising speaks about being "By your side" and its purpose is described as "Helping Britain prosper".
Sadly, my experience with Lex Autolease felt very different.
After almost nine years of loyalty, I was left feeling like a case number rather than a customer.
I have since cancelled other Lloyds Banking Group products, including Halifax insurance, and will not be using Lex Autolease again.

Worst company to deal with
Worst company to deal with. Apparently there is a small clause that says they can charge per mileage if you go over a small amount. Only 6000 miles per year is the limit when the average is 8-10. They then hit you with a bill for that extra mileage instead of informing the customer that they are going over the mileage. Put in a complaint. Instead of dealing with the complaint, they chase the payment and threaten you with legal action. Do not deal with this company. You should avoid them. Their customer service is extremely poor. Lease your car elsewhere! If I could give 0 stars I would.

Call took 45minutes(on hold for 15minutes)having spent days trying to get prices for a contract term change(now their website doesn't work anymore for contract change quotations). The story, the prices, and the detail has constantly changed during the call, they are making up the numbers as they go along based on how much they can fleece their customer!
Had a toyota for 5 years
Had a toyota for 5 years. Before ending the lease I had the car valeted and wheels Dimond cut to remove road rash. Had the car to a paint shop who repaired all scratches and paint chips . Spent 500 quid to avoid any extra charges on returning the car. Guess what lex autoloader want another 500 quid for scratches that don't exist. Con merchants
Poor experience …
This company has a very strong media site, were you can find most requirements regarding the lease of your car, however, once you have an issue, that seems you may do, there customer service is extremely poor and communication takes to long to resolved issues, my experience has been and still is poor, customer service staff just not taking how serious the issue is, seems that there not bothered, that is until you stop paying your monthly fee, if you need to get there attention, maybe this is the way to go - very poor in my experience
Extremely disappointing experience with…
Extremely disappointing experience with Lex Leasing so far.
My vehicle was due to be delivered last Wednesday after contracts had already been signed. The day before delivery I was told only that it had “failed final checks”, with no proper explanation and no courtesy vehicle offered.
After repeatedly chasing for updates and formally escalating a complaint last week, I eventually discovered the vehicle had actually failed its MOT immediately before delivery and required brake-related repairs.
While issues can happen with any vehicle, the communication and customer service have been extremely poor throughout. Updates have only come after persistent chasing, there has still been no confirmed delivery date, and no practical support has been offered despite the disruption caused.
I started a new job recently and have now spent over two weeks relying on my 75-year-old mother’s Motability vehicle while also helping care for my blind uncle. I made these circumstances very clear to Lex Leasing, but there has been little urgency or meaningful response.
I am also understandably concerned about confidence in the vehicle itself given it is a 2022 BMW iX3 with around 30,000 miles which failed its MOT immediately prior to delivery.
The most frustrating part of this experience has been the lack of transparency, communication and accountability.
Update 07/05/2026
Is this a joke? This is their response to leaving me without a car and no information about whether it is fit for purpose/when it will be fixed/when it will be delivered???;
Thank you for your email
I apologise for the delay. Your complaint is currently sat in a queue waiting to be assigned, I know that isn't of any help but please be assured that someone will get back to you. FCA guidelines give us up 8 weeks to resolve complaints however this doesn't mean it will take the full 8 weeks. Your complaint handler will be in contact once assigned
Kind regards
Kathie
Update 08/05/2026
They have sent me an invoice for a non-existent car to be taken by direct debit on 14/05/2026 - absolutely unbelievable! The amount of admin this nightmare is taking is beyond acceptable. Horrific, astoundingly bad service.
Absolute Shower - DO NOT USE
Absolute Shower - Do Not Use!!!
I'm being charged for a missed car collection on a date where the car was actually successfully collected???
Despite multiple phone calls and emails I am still being charged and if I want to do anything about it I now have to go through a complaints procedure or claim it back from my bank, because of an admin error on there side?
My invoice was put into dispute a couple of times, but keeps being released without me being informed.
Lex have failed to prove how this charge can possibly be justified.
Unjust, unfair and appalling customer service.
Not efficient or transparent
I have leased a car through this company with my NHS employer. All was going well until last year 2025 when they would hold back parking or driving tickets past the time that the driver could appeal. They then pay the charge as it's high by then and all you get is a collections company demanding money from you when you do not even know and they have not let you know you had a driving ticket
Also they pay your tickets immediately then charge you the ticket cost plus £20 their charge when they have not given one a chance to pay for themselves or appeal the ticket
Funds poorly prepped stock and uses rainy-day signatures to dodge liability.
"Lex Autolease funded TWO 'brand new' Smart #1 Brabus vehicles for us. Both arrived with poor paint preparation and damage, and Lex has done everything in their power to avoid taking responsibility.
Car 1 was delivered in the pouring rain, making a proper inspection of the gloss paintwork physically impossible. Upon the weather clearing, we found severe rotary mop buffer trails from a botched pre-delivery repair, a panel dent, and a yellow logistics defect marker on the bumper (which the delivery driver himself acknowledged on-site). Despite providing timestamped photographic evidence and weather proof, Lex issued a deadlock letter. They relied entirely on the delivery app signature made in the rain to wash their hands of the issue, forcing us to escalate to the Financial Ombudsman Service.
Car 2 arrived with highly inconsistent paint depths across the panels (fluctuating from 120 to 180 microns). While the motor trade considers this 'acceptable', it highlights the incredibly low standards of the vehicles Lex is funding.
Lex Autolease is perfectly happy to fund poorly prepped stock being passed off as 'new', and will hide behind delivery technicalities rather than hold their supply chain accountable. A thoroughly unhelpful finance company.

Awful customer service and terrrible systems. Can't even manage their own invoicing system. Have spent hours working through paperwork because of their error which they have admitted to. Don't use -there are much better options out there.
#Day in the life of Rentokil Specialist Hygiene..
I work for a Specialist Hygiene Company, and they use Lex vehicles, unfortunately my van is having quite a few issues, tbh its due for a replacement, ive had her since September 2020 during Lockdown, several years ago, and even then she was late arriving because of problems, 🙄🤦♀️..but I've rung these guys and spoken to various ppl, to name a few, a female called Rose on the 2nd April, think i also spoke to a guy called Alan to regarding my van, and the two lovely guys today, ((27/04/2026)), Jamie and James, Jamie was very Professional, very patient with us, while i chewed his ear off, explaining the issues im having to deal with my work van, and James, who was Senior, he was a legend, I explained to him and hopefully he's going to make sure my vans in good working condition before I get it back, #2 Legends working for Lex, #100% Customer Services from all the staff I've spoken to in the last few months... Can't thank you enough.. sorry my vans a nightmare, she's so high maintenance 😆.. #Lex, #RSH... #Thanks.. 💯💯😊
Terrible customer service
Terrible customer service. We have had a range rover evoque autobiography for the past 3 years and its spent most of the time in the garage being repaired. Lex are not interested in helping. They will only contact you if refuse to pay for the months it was off the road. Last year we didn't have it for around 7 months. Our lease is up soon so we will.be going with somebody else.. joke of a company
Terrible Customer Service
Had an EV on salary sacrifice, the car was faulty on delivery and went straight back to the deal to be fixed. After 2 weeks, I put a formal complain in only to be advised that they have 9 weeks to respond. They took the full 9 weeks and offered to let me return the car early with no termination charge. They refused to refund the lease payment and offered me a 20% refund for the inconvenience. This was the week before Chrismas so no collection until the new year but they still expected to be payed for the car and took the money through salary sacrifice.
So, why do they have one star - trust pilot will not allow zero
Tried charging for damages.
They inspected the car on collection. Car gets collected, and the next thing i know is i've been charged nearly £1000 for damages which were not present when the car left me. Luckily i had kept the collection inspection report to dispute.
Recently I sent my lease back and had…
Recently I sent my lease back and had to agree on a payment for a certain amount of miles the car did, I agreed and then they collected the car.
They said because they collected the car a week into the second month they not only charged me the full payment they added an entire month onto the car.
This is by far one of the most shocking stunts and quite frankly fraudulent way of seeking extra money after the agreement was signed off.
I put through a complained however I have heard nothing back since they confirmed they have received my complain
Ripping off your customers
Procuring the vehicle, hand back procedure no issues. It’s what happens when they review the damage to the vehicle at the end. I expected a little cost for wheel damage due to kerbbing, that’s natural in a valley community, I also had some scratches on the front left, that would have added up to 189, but somehow they found enough to be able to charge me 835, which is really wear and tear. Do not trust this company ever. Do yourself a massive favour, go elsewhere.
Avoid at all costs. Cowboy Alert!
If I could give zero stars I would. After returning the lease car, they wanted to change me £500 in damages that were clearly already present in the delivery report. After winning that dispute, the delivery mileage they put on their invoice was over 800 miles more than the actual delivery report. Again challenged that and won. Now I am dealing with them on glass replacement as it turns out the car had windshield damage before it was delivered and they are refusing to pay.
All in all this has cost me hours and hours of paper shuffling just to prove my case. Completely unnecessary should they have their act together.
There are plenty of leasing companies out there, so if you can I'd recommend avoiding Lex at all costs!
Worse four years …
Worst four years …
Two leased vehicles both faulty from five days old to three weeks old.
Technical, mechanical, alternator, inventor issues, DPF system, electrical intermittent issues the list never ended …
With young children in the car going in limp mode or just stopping in the road due to poor electrics and died hazards lights
Absolutely shocking
Cause nothing but stress and anxiety and I’m a confident driver this company broke that!
