bought through one of their companies LEDbulbs. Wanted to return item, sent email requesting return - no reply received. Subsequently filled in returns form, return declined on the basis that it was outside 14 day time scale (though email was within) They denied receiving the email and said I purchased one month earlier than I did. I sent copy of the email and they deny they ever received it and were not happy to act on the back of my proof - and said that I had never filled in a return form - despite the fact that I had an email from their returns department telling me I was out of time. Why would any company be so difficult over a product that cost them less than £10 ?

Horrible delivery

Meaco Arete one Dehumidifier
I purchased a Meaco Arete one from this local company on the advice from a phone call to the original Meaco website as they said it would be a cheaper option as they are partner companies.
The sale went smoothly, I phoned the company regarding the delivery, again went smoothly, efficiently and courteously.
My machine was delivered by DPD this morning - swiftly, carefully and in excellent condition.
All in all my experience with this company was an excellent experience, thank you.
Selling goods not as described and refusing to acknowledge that
Awful company.
I purchased a Meaco dehumidifier which turned out to be a lot noisier than advertised. I then gathered some readings that showed a much higher noise level (done only with my phone, but the difference was very large: max 38 dB advertised, 46 dB measured. That's 2.5x more noise, FYI).
I highlighted the problem and asked to return the item at their expense (although a replacement would have worked too).
The answers by their support were very hostile, saying:
* I don't have professional equipment, and therefore my data is useless. I didn't do the test in a "controlled environment" (despite stating I did it in the middle of the night, with a 30 dB recorded baseline, which is super quiet)
* Even if the recorded difference was truthful, they clearly stated they didn't care about it. I'm quoting their email:
"That said, a difference of 6–7 dB, while perceptible, does not in itself constitute a fault with the product. The unit is still functioning as designed and as described in its primary purpose — that is, to cool air within the stated capacity range.
We understand that the noise level may not meet personal expectations, but this does not qualify as the item being “not as described” under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, and therefore, we’re unable to accept a return on these grounds."
They're literally saying "Yea, we listed specs X,Y,Z which turned to be fantasy, but hey! It's still doing its main thing, therefore it's 'as described' "
Long story short, I did a chargeback. Thank you Monzo <3
Honeywell air cooler
Bought a honeywell air cooler and it was sent to the wrong address i contacted customer service and they sent another one and it arrived late unboxed it plugged it in wow what a noise the fan was howling.
Contacted customer service again and agreed to send it back for a refund which was fine and the sent me a free return details for Evri.
I filled out all the details and got it ready for collection only to get another message from customer services 6 hours later saying when they received the fan back if they thought their was nothing wrong with it and it should not have been returned they were going to charge me £25+vat.
What a rip off.
I now know why they get a poor rating on trustpilot.

Disappointing customer service in that my AC unit arrived with a noise which turned out to be a cable rubbing on the internal fan which had already removed some of the wire insulation. All I wanted was for them to swap out my AC unit with one that had been checked first. But because I had opened the unit and ty-wrapped the cable out of the way to stop the cable fraying, they seemed more interested in telling me that my warranty was void rather than being concerned that there could be a potential fire risk that needed investigating. When I asked to speak to a supervisor no-one would speak to me.
Poor quality product and even poorer quality after sales service. Avoid.
I bought an outside coach lamp and, while it was delivered quickly, the quality of the product is appalling. Firstly, it is a poor casting with faults in the construction but, more importantly, it leans inwards at a funny angle and looks wrong on the wall. Of course, Elise, at something that styles itself “Customer Care Team”, has no interest in helping. She did say that as the lamp does actually work, then they will not issue a replacement. As well as no phone number, this is on their website.
For safety reasons, we’re unable to assist you in person. Please do not visit our main distribution centre if you are trying to make a purchase or return an item.
They might as well say, Look, don’t bother trying to contact us, we are just not interested.

Dreadful company with no aftersales care or customer service. Impossible to get hold of and no help when you do. You should be ashamed of yourselves for how you conduct business and treat customers like dirt.

Don't do mistake to buy something from this unless and time wasters! I buy a brand new dehumidifier and they send me a used one ! You can't reach costumes service and if you manage to get in contact with them somehow you have to wait 3 weeks to issue your refund!

I have bought MEACO Dehumidifiers, unknowingly via Loveshopping direct. The dehumidifiers were supposed to have been delivered next day by DPD however only the spare filters were delivered with the actual dehumidifiers being left at a DPD collection centre for us to collect between 090-1630 weekdays only. We don't have a car and work in those hors so cannot collect. Neither DPD or LoveShopping Direct can be contacted to rearrange delivery or explain why the dehumidifiers weren't delivered. LoveShopping Direct do not answer emails or the phone. O
Note. They have also charged us three times for the same order.
LoveShopping direct say they are award winning but I can't see how that can be true or what the award was for.

Tried calling love shopping direct / Meaco humidifiers to discuss humidifiers because the one I was looking at was a 20L humidifier with an air purifier (which I don’t really need the air purifier part)
so I just wanted to discuss my options as it’s a large purchase didn’t want to get it wrong. I couldn’t get through to anybody. Nobody returns your call it drops your call after you’ve waited on the line suddenly a recorded message says sorry email us (call drops) - you email and nobody replies so it’s really not a good idea to buy from this company.
I’d rather buy the same product on Amazon because at least I know if there’s an issue I’ll be able to return it or deal with Amazon and they’ll deal with the seller - don’t buy from this company it’s too risky.
Lack of customer service
This companies phone number on their website directs you to another number and a different email address. Very frustrating when you wish to return an item. Finally returned the item a week ago, still no response that they have received it all though I can see by the Evri tracking number it’s been delivered

This company cannot by trusted! They offer next day delivery but do not deliver. They ignore ALL of your correspondence. They do not answer calls and will not cancel your order. They will happy take your funds though. A claim will be made with my credit card company. This company should be closed down by trading standards. I will be writing to Trading Standards!

I have a Meaco dehumidifier which I feel was miss sold to me due to the fact that it cannot be used in a room with a naked flame . I have tried without success to contact Love shopping both by phone and email but have received no response at all , absolute silence , nothing. The Meaco brand seems to be split somehow between Loveshopping and themselves , which makes it all the more difficult to get them to face up to their responsibilities to customers, customer care does not appear very high on their list of priorities. I do not reccomend , avoid at all costs.
