Bought two smaller version Dehumidifier arrived well packaged and good instructions inside. We have a 300 year old house with single glazing, this time of year is a condensations nightmare. We put one upstairs and the other downstairs running all the time. Cannot believe the difference they have made. Wish we had done it sooner.

Purchased a MeacoDry Arete Two 20L and…
Purchased a MeacoDry Arete Two 20L and it has been brilliant so far. The delivery was very quick which was a bonus. The dehumidifier was surprisingly quiet in laundry mode and the two loads of washing dried incredibly quickly indoors, even without the heating being on.
The controls are easy to use and so far, the dehumidifier has been really useful.

Stay away, scam company
Firstly, they promised next day delivery but it took 2 days to arrive, not a big deal but dont promise it if you cant deliver it. Next the dehumidifier was so noisy, it promised really quiet, but it was so loud it gave me a headache. Next the sensor on the dehumidifier was faulty. I got 2 other separate humidity sensors next to it and they gave the same accurate reading whereas the dehumidifier was showing a 20% difference all the time. This meant it was switching off when it needed to be on and vice versa. Now is where the real troubles start. Their return policy is horrendous. Takes an effort to get in touch for a refund then they threaten you with a £50 plus VAT fee if the unit is found to be not faulty to cover the cost of return. Absolutely ridiculous, never had this off any company before and i wont be paying it. Now its been 2 weeks since they received the return back and i have heard nothing. Contacting them they told me it can take 14 working days for them to test the applicance. An absolute travesty! I have now filed a section 75 with the credit card company and i will never use this company again and i will tell everyone else to stay clear or be out of pocket!

We're sorry to hear about your experience and understand your frustration, particularly regarding the delivery delay, the issues you've reported with your dehumidifier and the time taken to process your return.
Unfortunately, as you haven't provided any order information with your review, we're unable to locate your order or look into your previous correspondence with our customer service team to investigate the circumstances further.
We would, however, like to clarify our returns procedure. All products returned as faulty undergo testing to establish whether a fault is present. If the reported fault is confirmed, there is absolutely no charge for the return.
The £50 + VAT collection fee would only apply if the unit is found to be working correctly and you choose to proceed with a refund rather than have the product returned to you. This is explained before collection is arranged so customers are aware of the possible charge.
We appreciate that waiting for a return to be assessed can be frustrating, particularly when you've already experienced issues with the product. Our Returns Team aim to complete assessments as quickly as possible.
Please contact our customer service team with your order number so we can review your previous correspondence, investigate the status of your return and provide you with an accurate update.
We apologise again for the disappointment and inconvenience caused.

This is my second Meaco dehumidifier
This is my second Meaco dehumidifier, I've got one upstairs drying the condensation in the bathroom and one downstairs drying the washing, both very effective. Because they are both dessicant models, they are warming the rooms as well as extracting moisture from the air.
