After confirming the order I had no updates. The site clearly said next working day delivery. I didn’t get the delivery next day after waiting in line. A simple email telling me expected delivery date would have been great but nothing. Only the courier contacted me when they had the parcel. Many other retailers manage their communications much better than this.

Excellent Customer Service
My first Meaco dehumidifier stopped working, but I liked it that I decided to buy a second one directly from their website.
Unfortunately, there was an issue with the new one, so I contacted customer service. They replied very quickly and sorted out straight away.
I shop online a lot but rarely write reviews. However, I was so impressed by how quick, helpful and pleasant their service was that I wanted to leave one.

We are being asked to review our experience which was not good. We ordered and paid for a dehumidifier that was out of stock. We were then asked to review the delivery of the item. It was down to us to call and say we don’t have it. From then an employee investigated and found out that it was out of stock. We are now waiting for a refund to go into our bank account. This is terrible!

BEWARE - Do not buy from this company
Do not buy from this company - ordered the more expensive Arete Two and they sent the version One model. Clear markings from DPD delivery and doorstep photos etc along with video show the ONE model was delivered. When I got in touch with the company by email and then phone I was told there was nothing that could be done because I should have reported this within 24 hours. I was working away and someone took this in form me. The company then and now (ongoing) dispute that what I am saying is the case because their inventory says that a TWO model was dispatched. Despite all the evidence, photos, videos, comparisons they say nothing can be done. Here is some of the correspondence so you can decide if you want to purchase from them. "I’m very sorry to hear that you have received a MeacoDry Arete One rather than the Arete Two 12L that was ordered.
Unfortunately, we do advise customers to notify us of any incorrect or wrongly received goods within 24 hours of delivery, so that we can investigate any discrepancies with our warehouse and courier promptly.
As this has only been reported to us after this timeframe, unfortunately we are unable to investigate this further or arrange a resolution for the incorrect item received.
I sincerely apologise for the disappointment and inconvenience this may cause."
MY REPLY ..."Dear Customer Service Team,
I am writing to formally challenge your refusal to resolve the issue with my recent order, MD 00138261 , which was delivered 8 working days ago on 23rd September 2026.
You have stated that I am outside a "24-hour reporting window." Please note that under UK statutory law, your internal 24-hour policy is legally invalid and cannot override my statutory rights. I am rejecting the item and escalating this matter based on the following regulations:
1. Consumer Rights Act 2015 ("Not as Described"): I ordered and paid for a specific dehumidifier model. Instead, I was delivered an older, inferior Version 1 model. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, goods must strictly match their description. Because you supplied the wrong item, you are in breach of contract.
2. Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 (Right to Cancel): For online purchases, consumers have an unconditional statutory right to cancel an order within 14 calendar days from the day after delivery. As it has only been 7 working days, I am well within this legal window to cancel the contract and receive a full refund.
Because this error is entirely a result of your company sending the wrong item, I expect a full refund and require you to provide a prepaid return shipping label to collect the Version 1 model. I will not accept any deductions or return fees.
I have copied in Meaco's corporate customer service team so they are fully aware of how their brand's products are being handled, and the unlawful terms being used to deny statutory consumer protections.
If a full refund and a prepaid return solution are not provided within 5 working days, I will escalate this dispute directly via a chargeback/Section 75 claim with my card issuer, and report this restrictive 24-hour policy to Trading Standards.
I look forward to your swift confirmation that this refund has been processed."
ONLY THEN did they respond saying to return at my own expense with the proviso that if there were any issues, markings on the box etc that they could deduct a discretionary amount from the refund!! .." Now with SANTANDER under Section 75 and chargeback and still waiting. Beware!

We'd just like to clarify that our warehouse picking and dispatch records indicate that the MeacoDry Arete Two 12L was selected and dispatched against your order. The courier's proof of delivery also didn't identify any discrepancy. Unfortunately, the information available to us wasn't sufficient to establish exactly what had happened.
Our request for customers to report delivery discrepancies within 24 hours is intended to allow us to investigate potential errors promptly with our warehouse and courier while the relevant information is still available. Unfortunately, as your concerns were raised after this timeframe, we were unable to complete the usual courier investigation or independently establish which model had been delivered.
We appreciate that this doesn't mean your concerns aren't genuine, and we're sorry if our communication gave you the impression that we were questioning your honesty. Our procedures are designed to ensure delivery discrepancies can be investigated fairly and consistently, rather than to dismiss customer concerns.
We also recognise that our reporting procedures don't override your statutory consumer rights, and we're sorry if our earlier correspondence suggested otherwise. While we couldn't verify a dispatch error from the records available, we subsequently provided information about returning the item for assessment and refund consideration.
We understand that you've now referred the matter to your card provider, and we'll cooperate with any enquiries made as part of that process.
We're genuinely sorry this situation has left you feeling so let down. We appreciate that you expected a straightforward purchase and resolution, and regret that we haven't been able to resolve the discrepancy to your satisfaction.
