Doreen goes above & beyond her remit in helping, advising, & resolving any concerns the residents have.
She diligently addressed our car parking payment issue - helping & double checking all historical paperwork towards a successful resolution. This took some time to do.
She is always a welcome face, giving time for everyone, & she attentively addresses any issues regarding the building , the grounds and/or arising concerns from the residents.

Butterworth Grange visits
I visit Butterworth Grange every week as a carer. I am always welcomed by Margaret Grice the house manager with a big smile and positive attitude. I have observed Margaret talking with the residents, she has a kind nature, very caring and really listens to the residents. I have heard nothing but high praises from the residents, they all say that Margaret is easy to approach if they have any issues and nothing is too much trouble. Margaret definitely goes above and beyond and deserves some recognition for her hard work.

I recently visited Homestead Place with my brother hoping that it would be suitable for my dad to move to.
Sam Grimbleby, the House Manager could not have been more welcoming and helpful.
I was so impressed with the whole place. It was clean and tidy and the apartments were very well set out and spacious. Everyone there seemed to have a smile on their face.

Outstanding support from Shirley at…
Outstanding support from Shirley at Farnham House
I recently moved my elderly mother into Farnham House in Quorn, and I honestly cannot speak highly enough of the experience we have had so far.
From the very beginning, Shirley, the House Manager, has been absolutely fantastic. She has gone above and beyond to help both my mum and me settle in, always being incredibly kind, patient and approachable. On one occasion, Shirley even left her own lunch to come and help us — which really says everything about the level of care and commitment she shows.
Moving an elderly parent into a new home can be a daunting and emotional experience, but Shirley has made such a positive difference. She has been there whenever we’ve needed help, nothing ever seems too much trouble, and she has made my mum feel genuinely welcome and cared for.
Most importantly, Mum feels completely at home and is very happy at Farnham House, which is an enormous relief to me and our family.
McCarthy Stone are very fortunate to have someone like Shirley running Farnham House. Her kindness, compassion and willingness to go the extra mile are exactly what you hope to find when choosing somewhere for an elderly parent.

I have lived at Jackson Place going into my 10th year. Our manager Emma is caring, supportive and always there for us all. She listens and helps us in any way she can and helps everyone. How she does it I really can’t say but we couldn’t do without her.

My mum has been living in the Stour…
My mum has been living in the Stour Gate, Blandford McCarthy & Stone development for three years. Throughout this time the support has been excellent. She feels secure and friendly, professional help is at hand whenever required.
The management organise numerous social gatherings which has helped the community of residents come together, it's a lovely atmosphere.
The facilities are well looked after. The communal lounge is a beautifully decorated space, comfortable with plenty of facilities, games and space. It's also wonderful to see the garden and outdoors space being developed and the involvement of the residents in this.
Mum is very happy here, she has the perfect balance of her own privacy in her lovely appointment apartment, she feels safe and has many lovely friends literally on her doorstep - and a social calendar busier than mine!

Completely at home here
We moved into our apartment in McCarthy & Stone development at Pinnoc Mews in Exeter (EX4 8GD) four months ago. Thanks to the superb warm friendly welcome by manager Linda and all the residents we have settled right into our new life here and are completely and happily at home already. Our manager Linda is not only adept at looking after us all but has also become a good friend all of which, along with the quality of the actual development, greatly contributes to the McCarthy & Stone reputation.

I have moved into my apartment recently and I have found it to be quite spacious and very comfortable. The house manager, Paul, has most helpful and has settled me in quickly. There is a strong community spirit here and the other residents enjoy each others company. I think I will be quite content here.

We stayed in the guest room at Riverside Court, Abergavrnny
We stayed in the guest room at Riverside Court, Abergavenny, where my parents have been living happily for the past 7 years. The suite is always nice, everything smells fresh and spotlessly clean, and the beds/pillows are very comfortable. Slept well. Only reason for not giving 5 stars was there was only one loo roll and could not find any spares! It would also benefit from offering a guest wifi. Other than that, superb!

House Managing at its best
My parents lived at the Hampton Place Mc Carthy Stone Southampton SO15 5SB The house manager Maxine was exceptional she would always be available for any issues, efficient in her duties and felt like a friend we could trust. She went above and beyond with providing extra activities and always tried to accommodate for every need. The guest suite was always in immaculate condition for our family and friends and we would reccomended her as one of Mc Carthy Stone's best assets.

I have arranged to rent at Homestead Place. Everyone at McCarthy & Stone has been very helpful, especially Sam Grimbleby. Keeping Mum Independent at Hailes Green Haddington. Thanks Sarah
We couldn’t recommend Hailes Green highly enough, and in particular Sarah, the House Manager.
Since Mum moved to Hailes Green, she has really thrived. It gives her the independence she values while giving us, as her family, the reassurance and peace of mind that she is safe, supported and not alone.
Sarah is always on hand to check in on Mum and is incredibly approachable and caring. Knowing that there is someone nearby who knows Mum and will notice if she needs a little extra support means so much to us.
The cord alarm system and the company of the other residents also give us huge peace of mind. Mum has a lovely sense of community around her, with lots of events, activities and outings, and it has been wonderful to see her enjoying life and becoming part of that community.
When Mum recently needed surgery, we were able to book the guest suite at Hailes Green so that we could stay close by and be available to her 24/7 while she recovered. Having that option made an incredibly stressful time much easier and meant we could support Mum without taking away her independence.
For us, Hailes Green offers the perfect balance — Mum can live independently and enjoy her own life, while we know she is surrounded by people, support and a caring community.
We are so grateful to Sarah for the reassurance she gives our family. Most importantly, we feel that we can trust that Mum is safe, happy, independent and cared for. ❤️

Fabulous weekend stay at Pavilion…
Fabulous weekend stay at Pavilion Court. The room is huge with lovely decor and facilities are great. Beds really comfy, TV if you get bored. Lovely aspect looking out in to garden. The compendium told me lots about the area and I fell in love with Felixstowe. Lovely sea front walks. The town has lots of independent shops. So lovely to see a greengrocer and ironmongers, two record shops and a Wimpy! (Which was lovely - real trip down memory lane). Plenty of really good places to eat and drink and everyone was so friendly. Only downside is to catch the WiFi you need to crouch by the door and phone signal you need to be by the window. Thank you for such a lovely stay. I will definitely be back.

My husband and I came here 2.5 years ago, his comment on arrival was it looks like an hotel, so we settled in immediately. He died aged 95 about one year and four months later. Since then I have been quite happy with the service, the staff are very helpful.
