They were so helpful and reassuring and kept me upto date with progress.

Unfortunately my experience is far too different from what most of the experiences here seem like….though the police never charged me as they later sent an NFA email to me. However I have already contacted and engaged the NMLs should the police charge me to court for an alleged drug driving (which I didn’t even do in the first place)but after all of that, I have called so many times to sick what the next line of action is but nobody would attend to me… just some customer care promising to pass me on to legal reps which never came up…quite surprised as I thought what if my case gets to court?… is this how hard it’ll be to even get hold of some legal representation?….Not convinced one bit really…

Firstly I cannot thank Sandra Cooper, David Houldcroft and Mr Lucas enough, all three of them were exceptional. I was in the very fortunate position that I could afford the very best and none of them disappointed. If you need a case winning Mr Lucas and Mr Houldcroft are the gents to go too!

Having said that, National motoring lawyers themselves as the third party provider are sadly not so great. Communication is extremely poor, and they are extremely aggressive in money chasing tactics. I was told after paying thousands in case costs they they would pull out of representing me if I didnt pay X amount by 12pm on a certain day. The tactics used were fairly shocking. This is not a representation of the solicitors appointed they were fantastic but I would be aware that the third party provide NML could do a much better job with customer service and communication. You do not want to be bombarded with invoices without warning or explanation as to what they are for when you are already facing stress. This is the reason its a 4 not 5 star review.

This company worked with me professionally from the start. I wasn't satisfied with the first representative I was sent, and he was replaced. Ms Heywood (and the case management team) took a tricky case and achieved a successful result. Other reviewers have mentioned that they don't update you step by step, but in court Ms Heywood was fully prepared and her work was impressive. I have no complaints, but be aware that their services don't come cheap.

National Motoring Lawyers provided an excellent service. Their advocates were well chosen to support the facts of the case and were extremely efficient and knowledgeable. Allowing a quick and speedy process in terms of the evidence to collect so they could present it accordingly. The partnership between you and them is vital in getting the right result for both. At both court appearances the advocate was well informed and worked tirelessly to get the case ended as soon as possible. This wasn't possible in my case but eventually due to their persistence the case was dismissed. I couldn't have done it without them. I also like the one fee for everything approach so all costs from the outset are clear. My only slight disappointment is how long it is taking to hear about compensation. 8 months and counting.

My experience working with this firm has being great, they supported me the whole way throughout my case with fantastic results, wining my case, I couldn’t be more gratefu to all the team. National Motoring Lawyers have been amazing from start to finish. They delivered exactly what they promised and achieved a fantastic result for me.
Aaron was excellent throughout, responding to emails promptly, keeping me updated, and taking the time to explain anything I didn't understand.
Neil, my reviewing lawyer, was also great and kept me informed throughout my case.
Mr Richard Berman represented me at my first court hearing for my plea. He was incredibly helpful, explained everything clearly, always answered my calls, and responded to my emails. He made the whole process much less stressful.
Mr Philip Lucas was an absolute godsend. He represented me at trial, and paying the extra to instruct him was worth every penny. I had originally wanted him for the trial, but he wasn't available at the time. Fortunately, he became available just one day before the trial. Despite the short notice, he thoroughly reviewed all the evidence the night before. On the day of the trial, he prepared the defence argument in around 40 minutes and secured a Not Guilty verdict.

Scammers, don't ever use them, they pretended to do work for me, wanted money but refused to show me the work they had carried out. Wanted 750 for doing nothing and not even showing up to court

Although I had a slight hiccup with the first solicitor who came to court the overall experience was great. In their defence, we were short on time for them to find someone to attend and they refunded the majority of his fees and the desired outcome was achieved.

For my trial the whole time putting the case together was very responsive and put my mind at ease I was in good hands.

Come trial day my solicitor, Laura Heywood was brilliant and I couldn’t recommend enough. She was friendly, professional, explained everything to me and reassured me - most of all, got me a not guilty result! Thank you!

Don’t use this company believe me

I was charged with drink driving in Decemeber 2025 after blowing 84 after three pints, this was due to other factors. From the very start NML were honest about everything so dont think they will tell you anything for your money. These people care & will fight for you, not for your innocence but to proove the police dont always fulfill there duty. Well i can say that today i won as my case was thrown out of court by the judge. I would recommended these to anyone who finds themselves in this situation but thankfully i will never use these again.

Don’t waste your money , absolutely useless the only communication they make is when they ask for money which is constant , they pretend to use their own solicitors but they draft in random people to represent you in court and ultimately you lose , over rated over expensive and useless ,avoid At all costs

Stay far away from National Motoring Lawyers.

I had never experienced such poor service from a company until I dealt with them. I was initially sceptical about the negative reviews I had read, but unfortunately my experience reflected many of the same issues.

Before taking payment, I was assured that my case could be handled and that everything was under control. Given that my court date was only a few days away, I stressed the urgency of the matter. I promptly sent over the requested documentation and payment, but after that communication became extremely difficult.

Despite multiple emails and phone calls, I received very few responses. On several occasions I was told that someone would call me back, but no one ever did. When I finally managed to speak to a representative, they appeared to know very little about my case and were unaware that I had already submitted my paperwork and payment. This did not inspire confidence.

The most concerning issue was discovering that they did not even have a solicitor available to represent me. While they were quick to take my money and request further payments, I received very little in return.

After raising my concerns, Tayyab assured me that I would receive a refund. However, I later received an email stating that only my £165 deposit would be refunded and that the £900 I had paid for the “representation fee” is now carried over for the "preparation work" would be retained, despite me having withdrawn my instructions before any meaningful work appeared to have been carried out.

To make matters worse, I continued receiving emails promoting their services even after my complaint. When they did send an email about the solicitor being able to represent me the email described 3 different solicitors, clearly nobody reads their emails before they send them out.

I will be in touch with trading standards to express my dissatisfaction and will tell them about the shady business practices that NML carries out.
No accountability has been taken and not even a goodwill gesture to say that this was a mistake on their part

Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. They appear to operate as a third party rather than having solicitors readily available, and the level of communication and customer service I received was unacceptable. If I could give zero stars, I would.

Brilliant very helpful case was dismissed before court. I would gladly recommend them . Its been long journey ( due to court backlogs) but they are so clever constantly fighting your corner. Cps dropped charges
